Ch.4 The return

Seventy-six years later
Seventy-six years, that's how long it has been since Uriah disappeared. In that time Celestia and Luna had pretty much turned the entire world upside down in search of him, they found nothing, by now they had already given up the search because they thought he had perished, they knew that they where the only immortal beings on their planet... Right?

It was another peaceful midday in the town around castle Everfree, there hasn't been an attack by timberwolves or anything. That peacefulness changed when a man, easily eight feet walked into town and went straight for the castle. He wore a dulled out dark blue raincoat, a grayish golden shirt under that, black boots and simple blue pants that looked like they have been hit with a sand beam. But weirdest of all, he wore metal shackles ingrained with various gems around his wrists and ankles. He looked like he had been to hell and back, he had a look in his eyes that only people that have seen death, true death had. He wore his silver hair backwards spiked. And his radioactive green eyes never moved an inch away from the castle. He also had a blue bird sitting on his right shoulder.

"Halt state your name and business here!" Two guards said as the man reached the castle gate.

"Both of those are none of your business, now move aside so I can get out of your hair" the man said sternly.

"If you don't cooperate we will have to use force!" The guards said again.

"Fine" the man said with a sigh. "Bolt" he said to the bird, who then perked up and looked at the guards in question. A smirk seemingly came to the birds beak as it opened its right wing, the feathers on its end then bend as fingers, it then grabbed two feathers out of its tail, which instantly grew back, and threw them at the guards. When the feathers hit the guards started spasming before they fell to the ground, occasionally twitching.

"If you want the same fate, by all means, keep looking" the man said to the people that were standing behind them, all with a look of awe on their face, when they registered what the man said they quickly walked on. "I thought so" the man said again.

He then walked on into the castle, the bird occasionally throwing more feathers to take out more guards on the way to the throne room. When the man and the bird reached the massive double doors that blocked entrance to the throne room the man spoke again.

"Well, we're here Bolt. This could end badly so keep your guard up okay?" Bolt nodded.

"Okay here goes nothing" the man said again as he pushed open the doors and entered the throne room, on the far end of the room sat, in all her glory, princess Celestia.

"Halt!" The guards on opposite sides of the door said sternly. Both were silents by the bird throwing two more feathers.

"What is the meaning of this!?" Celestia asked.

"Really Tia? That's not how you greet an old friend" the man said.

"Wha? Is... is that you Uriah?" She asked again.

"The one and only" the man evidently known as Uriah said as a tear came to his eye.

"Uriah!" Celestia yelled as she ran to him and hugged him like her live depended on it.

"I missed you to Tia" He said again, chuckling a little bit.

"Tia what's going on? All the guards are lying passed out on the ground an-" Luna said as she walked in on their hug. "Uriah? Is that you?"

"Yes Lulu it's me" Uriah said as Luna joined the group hug.

"But how? It's been seventy-six years and you haven't changed a bit" Luna asked.

"Isn't it obvious? I'm immortal, like you two" Uriah said as they separated.

"Wait, Luna what did you mean by 'all the guards are passed out'?" Celestia asked.

"Just like that, they're passed out" Luna replied.

"Uriah, can I presume you have something to do with it?" Celestia asked.

"Yeah, sorry, but Bolt is the one who knocked them out" Uriah said whilst pointing to Bolt, the bird took this as offensive and picked Uriah in the head before flying of to Celestia's shoulder.

"And who? Or better yet what is this bird?" Luna asked.

"Well that's Bolt and he is a lightning Phoenix, I found his egg around fifty years ago, and as far as I know, and that's a lot, he is the only lighting Phoenix in existence" Uriah explained whilst trying to get Bolt off of Celestia's shoulder. "Get back here bird brain!" He yelled as he ignited fire under his boots and flew after the bird, eventually catching him... For about five seconds before Bolt poured around ten-thousand volts in his body, making Uriah fall to the ground, all the while spasming.

"Uriah are you okay!?" Luna asked as she ran to Uriah's still spasming body, Uriah then jumped back to his feet and resumed the chase.

"Enough!" Celestia yelled causing both Uriah and Bolt to fall to the ground.

"Is that really how you treat your pets?" She asked.

"Pet? Bolt isn't my pet, he's my friend, companion, etc." Uriah replied.

"Bolt is not your pet?" Luna asked.

"No, he comes with out of free will... Does that make sense?" Uriah said.

"Not really, normally Phoenix's are solitary creatures" Celestia said as Bolt went and sat back on Uriah's shoulder.

"Oh, okay then, but remember, Bolt is a lighting Phoenix, maybe that's the reason"

"It could be, but that doesn't matter right now" Luna inquired. "What does matter is that you're back and that needs to be celebrated"

"Celebrated how?" Uriah asked again.

"We could hold a formal party for your return" Luna explained.

"I guess we could do that" Celestia said. "Oh and one more thing" she continued as she lapped Uriah over the back of the head. "That for leaving"

"I guess I can see the reason in that" Uriah told the winged women.

And with that they went of to plan the party, what happened to the guards you might ask? They awoke a half hour later.
