Chapter 5 : Cottage of Animals

“I'm heading out!” Sweetie Belle yelled, in hope that Rarity could hear her from her working area.

Eventually, Rarity's working area isn't so far from where Sweetie Belle was standing, so she could hear her little sister perfectly fine, even without the yelling. “Okay, Sweetie Belle darling. Just be back before five, and not a minute later than that.” Rarity answered.

Sweetie Belle nodded, even though she knew Rarity couldn't see it. She turned the door knob, it was pretty hard at first, and it took her two minutes to finally opened the door. She went outside and closed the door, and trotted along. She looked up into the sky, and saw a rainbow dashing through. “A dashing rainbow? Wow, that's new.” She said it out loud, and she heard it as a rhyme. “Why did I say that? Almost in rhymes?” she questioned herself in her thoughts.

She stared at the dashing rainbow, and it slowed down. It seems to be a pony. The pony was flying down to the ground, and landing right in front of Sweetie Belle. “What's up.” The cyan pegasus said, greeting Sweetie Belle, in a weird way.

“Well, mostly the sky.” Sweetie Belle answered as she pointed to the sky.

The cyan pegasus chuckled, “My name is Rainbow Dash, and well, that is just my way of saying ‘hey’” Rainbow Dash explained.

“Okay. Uhm, is your mane normal?” Sweetie Belle asked, pointing to Rainbow Dash's mane and tail.

Rainbow Dash tilted her head, “What do you mean?”

“Well, it's just that everypony I've met so far has one or two colors for their manes and tails, but yours is much more different. Is your hair dyed or something? If so, what was your real hair color?”

“Eh, no. My hair is not dyed. And yes, that is kinda normal. Some ponies may have three or more different color for their hair, but it all depends.” Rainbow Dash explained.

Rainbow Dash walked around Sweetie Belle, to see if she had any bruises on her hooves. “You still remember how to talk, walk, and even write. I'm impressed.”

Sweetie Belle tilted her head in confusion, “Isn't everypony suppose to know that? Of course, unless they are little foals and colts.”

“Yeah, well. You lost your memories and stuff. So, I just thought that you forgotten how to walk that you begin crawling on the floor and stuff. Also, I even thought you don't know how to talk that you will start acting like a baby, and to end it off, scribbles.”

“Scribbles?”

“You know, what little foals do when their–” Rainbow Dash paused and fell onto the ground. “Egghead...” She said in a very creepy yet upsetting tone.

“A pony whose head shaped like a egg?” Sweetie Belle questioned.

Rainbow Dash shook her head and stood up once again. “Nah. I think that's something ya need to talk with Twilight about, kid.” She messed Sweetie Belle's hair, and Sweetie Belle used her hoof to comb it.

She looked up to Rainbow Dash, and said, “Do you do that to everypony you see?”

Rainbow Dash looked over at Sweetie Belle with her pupil shrunk down. “Wh-what? No! I just do that to little fillies and colts. Ya know, for fun?”

Sweetie Belle shook her head. “I don't think that's fun at all. It's more of annoying if you ask me.”

“Yeah, whatever.” Rainbow Dash replied. “Oh, gotta go kid! See you around next time!” Rainbow Dash waved goodbye and dashed off into the clouds in the sky.

“I wonder what's that all about. It seems like every pegasus has something to do up there.” Sweetie Belle looked up into the sky, her eyes sparkling by the sunshine. “If only I could go up there... Too bad I'm a unicorn and not a pegasus.” She shrugged and trotted away. She met with one of the Cutie Mark Crusaders on the way. “Oh, hey there!” She ran over to Scootaloo, but mistaken her as Applebloom. “You're Applebloom right?”

“No. I'm Scootaloo.” Scootaloo corrected. “Anywho, I just see that you have met Rainbow Dash.”

Sweetie Belle looked up in the sky, and saw a butterfly, she ignored Scootaloo and begun to chase the butterfly. “Ooooh~ Pretty!”

Scootaloo watched Sweetie Belle running around, chasing the butterfly. “Butterflies will fly away from you no matter how hard you try,” Scootaloo thought, giving out a smile as she watched her friend trying her best to chase the butterfly. “Unless you're Fluttershy, that's a different story.”

Sweetie Belle stopped chasing the butterfly, and fell onto the ground, “I'm exhausted!” She whined.

Scootaloo walked towards Sweetie Belle, “Do you like butterflies that much?”

“Well, their pretty,” Sweetie Belle looked up in the sky.

“Well, then, how about animals?”

“Wait, there are animals here?” Sweetie Belle stood up in all fours, and looked around the place, “Where are you, animals?” She tried searching the bushes, thinking there may be a bear somewhere.

Scootaloo sighed, and pulled Sweetie Belle by the tail, and dragged her all the way to Fluttershy's cottage, Scootaloo knocked on the door three times, and a yellow Pegasus with pale pink hair opened the door, “Uhm, how may I help you?”

“It's me, Scootaloo, with Sweetie Belle,” Scootaloo said.

Fluttershy moved away from the entrance, “Oh, please come in.”

Sweetie Belle walked in first, with Scootaloo behind her tail. Fluttershy shut the door gently after the two fillies entered the cottage. “Did Sweetie Belle really lost her memories?” Fluttershy looked down at Scootaloo.

“Yeah,” Scootaloo nodded. “She even mistaken me as Applebloom.”

Fluttershy looked at Sweetie Belle, who is now cuddling Angel tightly, “That poor dear,” Fluttershy said softly.

“The bunny?” Scootaloo asked.

Fluttershy shook her head, “No, I mean Sweetie Belle,” she pointed at the white unicorn, who is practically squeezing an innocent bunny to death.

Scootaloo stared at the bunny, who was struggling hard to get out of Sweetie Belle's tight grasp. “Yes... Die soon, so I could take away all your carrots,” Scootaloo thought evilly, but she never showed her evil expression, so nopony knows.

I know what you readers are thinking. Why does Scootaloo want Angel bunny to die? Well, that's a different story. But, I'll be sure to write it as a special chapter after the story ends. Anyways, back to the story!

Sweetie Belle released the bunny, and gasped. “A green sphere!” She exclaimed with joy, and grabbed it.

“Uhm, Sweetie Belle... That's a tortoise,” a Fluttershy spoke quietly, but Sweetie Belle didn't hear her.

Sweetie Belle stood on the poor tortoise's shell, and begun to bounce on it. “This is so much fun!” She squealed.

Scootaloo's jaw dropped to the ground, and Fluttershy bit her hooves. “Sw-Sweetie Belle... Th-that's a...a...a living creature!”

Sweetie Belle stopped jumping on the tortoise shell, and held it on her right hoof, “It's alive?” She tried looking into one of he holes, but it was too tiny, and too dark for her to see anything inside. “I can't see anything,” she grumbled.

A green head popped out from one of the holes, and Sweetie Belle stared at it for a few seconds, “Oh, would you look at that...” Sweetie Belle whispered.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!”

Sweetie Belle ran around the cottage, “Ew! What did I just touch?!” She panicked.

“Sweetie Belle...”

“That's creepy! That head, it came out of nowhere!” Sweetie Belle stopped on the couch, and off she goes, running around the cottage again.

“Uh... Sweetie Belle, could you please calm do—”

Sweetie Belle held down Fluttershy's neck, gently of course, “You have no idea how terrified I was,” she looked into Fluttershy's eyes deeply, “I was extremely terrified.”

“So terrified, that I could die right on that spot!”

“Haha, you don't have to be do over-dramatic,” Scootaloo laughed.

Fluttershy walked over to Angel, and she picked the bunny up and placed it on her back. “Hey, you're Duckerplate, am I right?” Sweetie Belle pointed to Fluttershy.

“Duckerplate? PFFFTTT!!!” Scootaloo, sitting beside the couch, trying her best to hold in her laughter.

Fluttershy looked at Scootaloo, and showed a tiny sad expression. “N-no... It's Fluttershy,” Fluttershy spoke softly.

“Plucker tie?”

“Fluttershy.”

“Feather mine?”

“No, it's Futtershy.”

“Mutter fly?”

Scootaloo smacked Sweetie Belle on the horn, “It's Fluttershy, dumby!”

Sweetie Belle rubbed her horn, “That hurts,” she whined.

“Oh my, are you okay?” Fluttershy hurried towards Sweetie Belle.

“Nah, it's fine,” Sweetie Belle shook her hooves.

Fluttershy sighed in relief.

“So, what brings you two here?” Fluttershy asked in a gentle voice.

Scootaloo pushed Sweetie Belle forward, “Well, Sweetie Belle here wanted to see some cute cuddly animals, so I brought her here,” Scootaloo explained.

Sweetie Belle was already being distracted by something else. “Would you look at that fluffy ball of fur?” She ran towards a sleeping dog on the couch, and begun to toss it around in the air, “Hehe! It's so fluffy!”

“Ah! Sweetie Belle! That's not a ball of fur...!” Fluttershy panicked, trying to catch the falling dog.

The dog was wide awake, and fell onto Fluttershy's hooves. “There you go... Safe and sound,” Fluttershy whispered to the dog, and laid it on the floor.

“Sweetie Belle, that's not a good idea,” Scootaloo stared at Sweetie Belle, who was already outside in the backyard, on a stool, trying to get a beehive from a tree.

Sweetie Belle ignored Scootaloo's advice, and tried to push the beehive off the tree. “It's sticky,” she touched one of the honey.

Fluttershy rushed towards Sweetie Belle, and dragged her back into her cottage, slamming the door. “Please don't touch anything else, if you don't mind,” Fluttershy pleaded.

Scootaloo whacked Sweetie Belle's horn again, “Yeah, please.”
