The Party

Day 3 ~ The Party

It was once again, a beautiful sunny morning with little to no clouds as Twilight, Fluttershy, Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie all stood outside the hospital doors. Pinkie Pie was the most excited, since she had a party ready to surprise Applejack back at Ponyville. Almost every pony in Ponyville was going to be there, ready to jump out and surprise the orange cowpony.
Twilight was smiling, but behind that smile was a frown. She was terrified of what Applejack would do or say after they tell her.... She didn't want this, all the sadness to follow. She wanted to desperately hide in her library with a shield of books. She wanted to read so badly so this feeling could leave her. Her mind slowly started to ache with all her thoughts swirling through her head, but she came into the world again to hear the sliding doors open.
"Applejack!" Pinkie was the first to jump to the orange cowpony and squeeze her into a nice hug.
"Applejack, dear. How does it feel to be out finally?" Rarity asked, walking over to her.
"It feels mighty awesome to walk again." Applejack confessed, walking to the rest of the group, having Rarity and Pinkie follow.
The group made their way back to Ponyville. When nearing it, Pinkie quickly blindfolded Applejack. "Whoa. What's goin' on?"
"Just follow us Applejack." Rainbow Dash answered, watching Pinkie grab a rope and put it in Applejack's mouth to help her follow them. They made their way to the middle of Ponyville, and the blindfold was token off. Right away, Applejack's mouth widened, having the rope fall to the ground.
The whole center was decorated with orange flags hung up on a rope all around the center. There was two tables with a table cloth with apples randomly spaced everywhere. One table had hay, grain, oats and different types of sandwiches. The other table had deserts like cupcakes, pies but most of all a two layered cake with each friend easily carved out of plastic on top, and the frosting was white all around and there was orange frosting lining the cake.
There was balloons at the front of the park, tied on the park lights. There was a music stand with the popular DJ, Vinyl Scratch, behind it. "Why, Ah never seen anythin' like it." Applejack was lost at words.
"Of course you didn't silly! This is a special party for you!" Pinkie jumped over to Vinyl, "Let's get this party started! On cue, Vinyl started the upbeat music and ponies from around filled in and started eating and dancing.
"Well, Applejack...this is your party. Aren't you coming?" Twilight joked, walking towards the food table.
"Why, color me pink. This is a nice party." Applejack smiled, following Twilight. She picked up an apple and a sandwich and walked to a nearby bench. Rainbow Dash followed, getting a sandwich and a few chips and walked to the same bench.
She sat down next to her, lightly blushing as she threw a chip in her mouth. Around an hour passed, Rainbow and Appledash talked about a lot of things. For example, what Applejack missed on a certain day she was in the hospital. Rainbow hid the fact of the main reason for what the conversation was for... How was she supposed to tell Applejack about her short life span?
"Hey you two! Come on over and dance!" Pinkie called to the two.
"Haha, well alright. Are ya comin' Rainbow?" Appledash smiled, getting up from the bench and throwing her apple core away.
"Yeah, this party needs to be welcomed by the one and only Rainbow Dash. I'm going to make this party twenty percent cooler!" Rainbow exclaimed, cantering over to the dance floor, which was in front of the DJ stand. She automatically started putting down moves as Applejack joined the floor. Pinkie then moved over to Rainbow, and whispered in her ear. Rainbow nodded and got ready for lift off. Wait...lift off? Where was she going? Before Applejack could ask, Rainbow was already in the air.
Rainbow then came down near the center of the park. She flew so fast, she created a beautiful sonic rainboom over the whole park, then landed near the DJ. The crowd went wild! The party was a huge hit, but all of the Elements knew when the party would be over, they had to tell Applejack the truth. It was going to be hard, but it was right. And who knows, maybe she'll live longer than 100 days?! That all would come in time, but each pony vowed that they would stay by AJ's side....or that's what they thought.
