Chapter 3
The 3 long days, Day one Part one
The Search of Parts
The day was going to be along one but little did we three know how long it really was going to be. After Shadow Wolf left to go to Twilight's house, Brave Racer and Flare Flicker leave at the same time to get to their jobs.
When Brave Racer gets to Sweet Apple Acres Big Mac says to him, "Applejack wants to talk to you before work, but she went to talk to Twilight before she leaves for Canterlot."
Brave Racer says back to him, "I'll go to see her then, be back."
Big Mac says as he is leaving to go to meet up with them at the train station, "Eyyyup."
As Brave Racer is walking there he over hears three fillies talking.
Filly 1 says "its 20 bits to get the hot air balloon license."
Filly 2 says "I have that at home."
Filly 1 says back to filly 2. "Me too, what about you Apple Bloom?"
Brave Racer thought he recognized the voices, it no other then the cutie mark crusaders.
Apple Bloom answers, "Well I would have to ask my sister for my allowance."
Brave Racer comes around the corner and looks at them. "If I may, can I make a better suggestion."
The three look at him and Apple Bloom says. "Hay I know you, you work with my sister your Brave Racer."
He nods, "yes you girls want learn how to make a soap box car?"
Scootaloo asks, "Well we get a cutie mark for it?"
Brave Racer says, "Well I did, plus you don't have to pay for it. You just have to find stuff to make a car out of, and I'll help you girls with it. We just have to talk to Applejack if we use the barn and some tools."
Apple Bloom says excited. "Then let’s go get my sister, you two meet us at the farm."
They wake to the train station and the train is just leaving and Apple Bloom yells at Applejack "Hay sis Brave Racer was telling us about soap box cars and we would like to make some."
"I would help them make it so they can race them."
Applejack looks between them "fine."
Apple Bloom yells "YAY! I'll tell the girls, what do we need agine Brave Racer?"
"Anything to make a car out of like I side before boxes loges and thing you can get your hoofs on."
Apple Bloom nods and takes off Applejack looks at him "you know you shouldn't have said anything right?"
"Yeah I realizing that, oh I'm going to need tolls and stuff if I'm going to help them and they well forget the wells I'm sure of it."
Applejack "we got the tolls in the barn and stuff to make wells out of."
The girls meet up with itch other and Apple Bloom says "we can get anything that we can make a car out of."
Scootaloo ask "so should we split up and meet back up at Sweet Apple Acres?"
Sweetie Belle "sounds good to me."
In the shadows a pony is watching them, when the split up the shadow doesn't know who to follow so it follows Sweetie Belle.
Mean well back at the Farm Applejack talking to Brave Racer "you know this may end up being really bad right?"
"What do you mean?" Brave Racer asks looking at her.
"Well my Sister and her friends mass things up."
"There just kids Applejack, if they can't mass things up who can?"
Applejack thinks about that, and then Brave Racer asks. "But this isn't about them is it? This is about Shadow wolf being alone with Twilight isn't it?"
Applejack looks up at him shocked like how you know.
“You have nothing to worry about trust me; out of all us Shadow is the shyer one. He doesn't take changes with anything. We are only here because of Flare Flicker."
"But I thought Shadow Wolf brat you all hear."
"He did."
"But if he didn't want to come here then why did him."
"He came because a friend asked him to. Won't you do the same?"
"Well yes I would."
Scootaloo is the first back "I'm here." she tries to pull the log off her scooter.
Brave Racer helps her "that's a big log... what was your name again?"
"I'm Scootaloo, and if this long going to look like Rainbow Dash it need to be big."
"right ok well let me help you get the wells on and you can start making it look like Rainbow Dash." he takes it over to where the wells are and he saps it to be a little more aerodynamic and puts the wells on it.
Applejack watches him wood chips fly passed him and he looks so hot to Applejack she falls of him even harder. Then he put the wood on the grown on its new wells then makes a hole in the wood for Scootaloo to sit. "Ok Scootaloo try sitting in it not sure if I made it big enough."
She sits in it, “it's just right. Applejack you got some paint I can use?"
"yeah I think Apple Bloom dues." just as she says that Apple Bloom comes in "i have it no need to get it hear you go Scootaloo and Brave Racer I found the bight box I cud. "
"Umm Apple Bloom that's a crate not a box but it well work, we just need something for you to sit on and it well be good."
"Well this work?" Apple Bloom takes out a hat box that was sitting
"Umm yeah I can make that work. Now for the wells." he gets the wells and he puts the tap on the box so it hoping it will stay. "I don't know if I can make it more aerodynamic."
Apple Bloom says "I'll think of something “she pushes it so she can work on it."
Brave Racer looks around, "Where is Sweetie Belle?"
AppleJack "I don't know."
She finely comes, holding a well barrel with fabric in it. "Sorry my sister was talking to me."
Brave Racer looks at her "umm I think we can make it work." He puts the wells on the wood, and then Sweet Bell takes it and starts growing on the fabric.
as the girls put the finishing there cars Shadow wolf and Twilight come back and Applejack waves at Twilight and Twilight waves back and comes up to Applejack saying. "We have to go to Zecora and have to ask her where a Power crystal is."
Applejack looks at her "ok you two be safe."
Twilight smiles "we well, and we hoping to be back to night if not we well be back tomorrow if not then look for us."
Applejack nods "well do."
They both leave, Applejack looks at Brave Racer. "I'm little worried."
Brave Racer looks at her. 'You got nothing to worry about Applejack, Shadow Wolf a good guy he probably the best one out of all us."
Applejack say shocked. "Are you being serious right now?"
Brave Racer nods. "It's true he can be kind you just need know how to bring it out."
As he saying this Flare Flicker comes up to them. "Hey what you two up to, oh I see you’re doing soap box derby that's cool."
the girls get done with their cars and push them up to the starting line with is at a top of a hell, and Brave Racer build a starter line that would hold the cars back tell the polls a sting.
"Are you ready girls?!" Brave Racer yells
They yell back "Ready!"
Brave Racer polls the sting and there off.
Scootaloo is off to a good start going fast but then her wells give way and the log she is in is scooting along on the grown she going slower.
Sweetie Belle car going down the fabric that she put on with gruel start flying up in her hair and some fly down in to her wells slowing down.
Apple Bloom box is started up slow and the hat box she sitting on brocks and she can't see. She caches up to the other two of what happen to their cars they call finish to gather but it's like the slowest race ever.
Brave Race is a little shocked says to the girls. "Wow that was amazing they fished the same time, which never happen in soap box derby history."
Scootaloo says existed. 'That was so cool."
They all jump out of the cars and cheek there flacks they are still black, Apple Bloom says said "But no cutie marks."
Sweetie Belle looks massy form the glue and she has fabric stuck all over her "I got dirty for nothing."
Brave Racer asks "but you had fun."
Scootaloo nods "yeah that's true."
Flare Flicker says to Sweetie Belle. "Your sister going to have a cow when she sees’s you Sweetie
Belle, she told me not let you get dirty."
Sweetie Belle sighs "I know I’m sorry."
Flare Flicker nods "it well be ok she said she was going to make up a bath for you."
Sweetie Belle leaves to go get ready Brave Racer looks at Flare Flicker and ask. "What’s going on Flare Flicker?"
Flare Flicker sighs. "It's a long story I'll tell you later." he walks away.
Brave Racer shrugs he looks at Applejack. "Well I guess it's too late to do apple bucking."
Applejack nods "yes it's a little late for that, but want to get some diner with me?"
Brave Racer smiles "Sure I would love to."
Applejack smiles and they walk to a resent, they have a gat time out. Early that day just after Twilight and Shadow wolf left for Canterlot
As Twilight and Shadow Wolf get off the train, Twilight opens up what they need to get. "Ok there is allot of stuff we need to get and if we do this in order we should be done by lunch, we eat hear then head back home."
Shadow Wolf nods. "What are we whetting for then?"
They go to the metals store and buy new gears, and then they go to the tool shop and get a few new tools. After that they go to whirring store to get a lot of whirs. Then there one more place to go the gem shop to find a power crystal that Twilight can us to power to with her magic but the sore didn't have one they told them it was to rare to keep in stock. This whole time Shadow Wolf has been a gentle man he carried all the stuff and opens all the doors for Twilight. They finely go to have lunch Shadow Wolf polls out her char she smiles. "Wow thank you, you have been a big help and no complied ones."
Shadow Wolf sits. "Why would I complain?" he asked putting everything they got down with his magic.
"Oh Spike does most of the time, that's all."
He nods, "I see."
Twilight sighs. "I don't know how we are going to finish the new mashie without the power crystal."
"Isn't there some pony we can ask to find one somewhere?" He asks.
She gasps. "Yes but its some zebra not some pony, I think my friend Zecora could help us let's eat first."
After they place there order Twilight looks at him and thinks to herself they eat and head back they drop everything at Twilight house and the go to update Applejack then they head to Zecora.
