//------------------------------// // Chapter Five: Y U No Cutlery! // Story: My Little Pony: Minecraftian // by SamMaherGamer //------------------------------// Waking up, I heard a clattering in the kitchen. It must be Pixel and Cuboid grabbing a make-do breakfast from my food storage. Smiling, eyes still groggy, I got up and realised that this wasn't my home. Carefully, I picked up my backpack, and tip-toed out of the room and into the next... My smile dropped... Fluttershy was in the kitchen, supposedly making breakfast. I was still in this other world, where ponies conquered. Maybe I would be able to get back somehow. Some of these ponies had horns on their heads, so does that mean that they can do magic? Will that get me home? Sighing, I stretched my back, electing a few pops from my spine, and startling Fluttershy. She whipped around, horror in her eyes, until she saw that it was me. "Why are you so scared of things?" I asked. I was becoming very curious of this world, just like I was of my old one; Always going and inventing things. "I-Um... I guess it's just in my personality?" She said, hoping that her answer was enough. I guess I could understand that... Just like I'm a troll. Which reminds me: I wonder if they do griefing in this world. Just as Fluttershy lifted the saucepan she was using off of the stovetop, a rapid knocking on the door was heard. Instantly, Fluttershy spoke, "I've got it," as she stepped towards the door. I listened in to who it was, trying to make out the conversation: "Hey, Fluttershy! Is the alien here? Twilight made me Pinkie-promise to not talk to the alien last night in case I ended up scaring it! I'm not that scary, am I?" Said the mystery voice. "No, Pinkie, that's quite alright. Come in, make yourself at home," The kind pegasus spoke. Almost instantly, a pink blur sped up to me, and began to talk really fast, in which made me step back in caution, and making my leg hit the leg of a table. "Hello! Are you really an alien? How'd you get here? And where's your spaceship? Ooh! I should throw a big 'alien-landing-party!' It'll be great! I'm actually going to go get started on that right now! Bye!" She said, before racing off in a poof of pink cloud. "Um... Bye?" I said to thin air. Fluttershy just giggled, "You'll get to know her soon enough. She's just a bit... Energetic, at times," "Great..." I said, looking down at the leg that had bashed into the table. The table's legs were made up of woven cane, and some of the threads of cane were sticking out in places. Of course, any normal person would have just been slightly scratched by these, I wasn't a normal person. I was an extremely 'lucky' normal person. The injury was a deep gouge that went about two 'pixels' across my leg. It had now started to bleed, and I lifted it up in hopes that it would not stain any of Fluttershy's furniture. "Oh my," she said, running to another room. I just pulled a remaining apple from my inventory and began to eat it. The gouge already feeling better. Fluttershy came bolting back into the room with a first aid box in her mouth. "Woman, I don't need no bandaids," I said, before taking another bite of my apple. "But you might get infected. Or- or..." She faded, staring at my wound. Of course, it had started to heal the instant I had started eating the apple. Now, all that I had to do was wait. It didn't take too long, about a minute to be exact. "Fluttershy," I waved a hand in front of the yellow mare's face, trying to snap her out of it. She blinked, before shaking her head around and looking up at me. "What?" I asked. "Y-You healed so quickly," "I wouldn't say that I healed faster than others. I mean, if I had eaten a golden apple, then I might heal faster than others, but until then, I guess I was actually rather slow." I said. "How'd you do it," she asked, less fear and more curiosity in her voice. "I ate, then I healed. Can't ponies do that?" I replied "No, that's why we have a hospital in Ponyville," she answered. "Ponyville? Is that what this town is called?" I questioned. It's funny how the town is named. It's just like calling a town: Humanville. It was weird. "Yes," she said, putting the first aid kit away in the bathroom and walking back over to the kitchen, "I made pancakes. Would you like any?" She asked. "If there's enough for me, then sure," I replied, pulling out a chair at the table and sitting down. The chairs were quite long, and had rather short legs. Made for a pony, I guess. Just that moment, Fluttershy came walking into the room holding a tray stacked with steaming pancakes on top. As she set it at the middle of the table, she raced back and fetched a jug of a form of fluid, and a container of butter. She placed them down by the pancakes. "Would you like to take some?" She asked. I nodded, and then grabbed the first couple of pancakes from the pile. Putting them on my plate, Fluttershy came to my side, and put butter and that syrupy liquid on my pancakes. "What is that?" I asked, seeing it run slowly across my pancake. "Oh, did you not want it? I'm so sorry," she apologised. "No, it's quite alright. I like to try new things, but I just wanted to know what it was," I replied, trying to calm the mare down. "Oh, it's maple syrup!" She said. That rings a bell somewhere, but I still have no idea what it could be. I just realised that I didn't have cutlery. I doubt that ponies have cutlery anyway, as they always do things with their mouths. Crap... I'm going to have to craft some with my wood. I don't want her to see it, because it might freak her out again. Under the table, I craft a fork with a sharp edge for cutting. I then pull it out from under the table and started to use it. It was worse that my metal cutlery, but it would do for the day. I wasn't willing to waste that iron on something as silly as cutlery. I'd need it for more important things such as mightier tools and weapons! After finishing our pancakes, Fluttershy told me that we were to go to Twilight's library. As I recall, Twilight was the purple coloured one with both a horn and wings. She was a librarian? Wow. You'd think she'd be a bit more superior than that. Apparently I wasn't to be seen by the locals whilst traveling to Twilight's library, and Fluttershy was a bit uncertain of what to do. We could tunnel underground, but I'd have to know exactly where the library was from underground. We could sneak around, but we still might be spotted. Eventually, Fluttershy had an idea. "What if we blanketed you over in a cart, and I'd pull you there?" She said. "I don't know, are you sure? I mean, wouldn't I be too heavy?" I replied. I weighed in at about seventy kilos, and I wasn't sure if she could pull such a weight. "No, you wouldn't. I've pulled bears that are much heavier than you," she assured, pulling a small cart out from the back of her house. Hopping in, a blanket was draped over me and I felt the cart begin to move... Bears? How does she pull bears? That would weigh so much! Oh well. She is a different species after all. I'd better not argue with a different world, let alone different laws of physics! Listening, I could hear a light chatter as we moved. There were ponies everywhere! Every time I heard a pony right next to me, I cringed. They must be very well associated with Fluttershy to stand so close to her cart as she moved. She did say that she hauled bears places, so were the locals like this when she hauled them? Anyways, I just hope we get there soon...
