On the moon, Nightmare Moon walk around trying to think of a way to destroy the Element Rangers for good. Her monsters kept failing one after another and even team up with another evil heart, she still couldn't destroy them. She also notices that Trixie was training her magic more then normal and Zecora was started to work on making Potions then Monsters. Gilda train non-stop to try to beat the Rangers herself. If only there was away to beat the rangers. If only she had rangers herself...
"THAT IT!!!" Nightmare Moon shouted.
"What it?" Gilda ask confuse.
"We can destroy the rangers with our own rangers." Nightmare Moon told them.
"Um, not to be rude, but didn't we already try using a ranger against the Element Rangers only for your evil ranger to lose it power and a new ranger that team up with them?" Trixie reminding her.
"Yes, but this time I'll make my own team of rangers and have them use the Chaos Coins." Nightmare Moon said.
All the villains smile at that. The Chaos Coins are six powerful coins that can mimic any power and if Nightmare Moon is going to use her own rangers against Celestia Rangers, then the Chaos Coins will make six rangers that will over power the Element Rangers. There was one problem though.
"How are we going to use the Chaos Coins to make our rangers?" Gilda ask.
"Zecora!", Nightmare Moon shouted at the Zebra, "make the strongest Pony Putties you can!"
"Strong then will be, especially if the are being made by me." Zecora said and got to work.
"I'll take them down to Equestria to train. Once we have the six strongest Putties, I'll will give them the Chaos Coins." Gilda said.
"Good, Trixie.", Nightmare Moon said turning to the unicorn, "I need you to keep the rangers busy while Gilda trans the Putties."
"Yes your highness.", Trixie said and bow, "Trixie will do as you order."
Nightmare Moon smile. Soon the Element Rangers will fall and Equestria will be hers.
Back on Equestria, Twilight was rushing through her house, trying to get things ready for something important later that day.
"Ok let see, Books in place, Check! Telescope position away from the sun, Check! Desk all neat and clean, Check!" Twilight said going over the check list in her head.
Spike walk in and saw what Twilight was doing. He knew that today was a big day for her and her friends. Today mark Celestia's birthday and all the rangers wanted to surprise her. Spike was all for it, but he couldn't help but to smile as he shook his head.
"Twilight, you need to relax. Celestia birthday party won't started until five hours from now." He said.
"I know Spike, but I got to make sure everything neat before I met up with the others. By the way can you send that scroll to Celestia?" Twilight said then ask him.
"Sure." Spike sign.
Spike walk over and pick up the scroll. He decide not to read it and then took out and small box that he was hiding. He took a deep breath and let his green flames cover them. Soon the scroll and the box was on it way to Princess Celestia.
"Happy Birthday Princess Celestia." Spike whisper to himself.
Back on the moon, Nightmare Moon eyes widen when she hear what Spike said.
"Oh, after being trap for 1,000 years, I forgot my own sister birthday.", She said with a smile, "Don't worry dear sister. I'll have a gift ready for you soon."
Nightmare Moon then turn to another part of Equestria where Gilda was training Earth Ponies, Unicorns and Pegasi Putties for her new Chaos Rangers.
"Gilda, how the training of my Chaos Rangers coming?" She ask.
"It working out very well. I have told the putties that only two of each type will be chosen to be the Chaos Pony Rangers." Gilda reported.
"Good, good. I'll check back later to see if anything has change." Nightmare Moon said.
Gilda bow and Nightmare Moon turn to Ponyville where Trixie was waiting with a few more putties. Because Nightmare Moon wanted her own Rangers, she give Trixie normal putties to keep the Rangers busy.
"Trixie is everything ready?" She ask.
"Yes Nightmare Moon.", Trixie said with a bow, "the Putties are ready to attack and so is Trixie."
"Good, remember you don't got to win, you just have to stall for Gilda to get my Chaos Rangers." Nightmare Moon remind her.
"Yes, Nightmare Moon." Trixie said.
Nightmare Moon laugh. She highly believe that she has the rangers now.
Meanwhile in Ponyville, Twilight had rush up to the rest of her friends with Spike on her back. She skid to a stop and try to catch her breath.
"Am...am... I on...on...time?" Twilight try to say, but was still short on breath.
"Yes darling, you're on time but we haven't even started going over the plans for the Princess birthday party." Rarity said.
"I told you, you should relax." Spike said rolling his eyes.
"Sorry...I wanted...to make...sure...I...got...here..." Twilight said, still out of breath.
"Why don't you sit down and have some apple juice Twi? I'm still it can help you." Applejack said handing her one.
"Thanks...Apple...jack." Twilight said and took it with her magic.
Right after Twilight finish her drink, explosions appear around them and knock all them to the ground.
"Sorry to interrupt your meeting time, but Trixie just had to see what you're up to." Trixie said as she step out of the smoke that she made.
"Great, even on Celestia's birthday, Nightmare Moon attacks." Rainbow said as they got up.
"Yes, Trixie has heard. I want to you to tell Celestia that I wish her a happy birthday. PUTTIES!" Trixie said then summon the putties.
"Come on girls! We got Putties to buck!" Rainbow said and the Rangers charge at the Putties.
Meanwhile, in a place far from Ponyville, Gilda was watching as four putties pony from each type was fighting each other to prove which one of them could be a Chaos Rangers. Gilda turn to see four Earth Ponies Putties fighting each other and watch as two of them team up and knock the other two down.
"You two pass!" She said as the two putties stood next to her.
Gilda then turn to see two Unicorns Putties fighting and watch as one Unicorn Putty place a shield around itself and another one as two more fire a beam. After the beam hit the shield and the shield drop, the last Unicorn Putty ump over and fire two beams at the last two knocking them down.
"You two pass!" She said again and the putties stood next to the last two.
Gilda turn to the last four Pegasi Putties that took their fight into the air. Pegasi Putties were a new type of Putties that Zecora made when Nightmare Moon attack Cloudsdale. She watch as two Pegasi Putties zoom pass the other two, knock them out of the air. They turn and flew back hitting them a few times before they crash into the ground.
"You two pass!" She said smiling.
Soon the six Putties line up as Nightmare Moon walk up to them.
"I was watching the training and I must say I'm impress. You six are worthily of being by Chaos Pony Rangers." She said before taking out six black coins.
"These Chaos Coins will allow you to mimic the Element Rangers powers and use their forms, However, it can not mimic their zords so you must fight them only in your rangers forms." She said giving each putty a Chaos Coin.
"As of now, you six are my Chaos Pony Rangers!" Nightmare Moon laugh.
Back in Ponyville, Twilight and Rarity was walk to Sugarcube Corner talking about the fight they just had. It was weird, right after the last Putty was taking down, Trixie said that her time was up and teleport away before they could ask what she was up to.
"It just too weird. Normally Trixie would try to fight us but the way she left after we beaten the putties was odd." Twilight said to Rarity.
"I agree darling. Something tells me that Nightmare Moon is up to something." Rarity agree.
"How right you are!" said and familiar voice that case the two to turn.
They quickly ready themselves to fight when they spotted Nightmare Moon standing not to far from them. Other ponies that saw or heard her ran to get away. Sweetie Belle was close by to see her sister standing ready to fight and decide to hide behind some barrels to watch.
"Nightmare Moon, still sore about the defeated I gave you when you kidnaped my family?" Twilight ask with a smirk.
"Oh no, not any more. I accept that defeat. You won fair and square. However, I'm here for a different reason." She said.
Soon to Unicorns Putties appear next to her and both Twilight and Rarity sign.
"What the point sending putties? We beat them whenever we morph or not." Rarity said show that they were tried of the putties.
"True, but these putties are special.", Nightmare Moon said and then turn to her putties, "show them my putties. It morphin' time."
"It what?!" Twilight and Rarity shouted surprise to hear Nightmare Moon use their morph cry.
They watch as the two Putties took out black coins with a green thunderbolt and a white gem. The Putties threw their coins forward and were cover in a bright light that everypony had to cover their eyes, Nightmare Moon just smirk.
When they could see again, they were totally shock on what they saw. There stood Pony Rangers in the same form as Elements Green and Black.
"I see we met at last." The Green Ranger said, sounding like Twilight.
"We are only two of the Chaos Pony Rangers." The Black Ranger said, sounding like Rarity.
Sweetie Belle was also surprise. Two grey ponies just turn into a look-alike of the Pony Rangers. Only all the white that was on the Element Rangers was turn to grey.
"Should we morph?" Rarity ask Twilight.
"No, let see what they can do." Twilight said, still a bit surprise that Nightmare Moon use Putties to make her own Rangers.
Twilight and the Green Chaos Ranger both walk around each other both waiting for one to make a move.
"Heh, You should have never became a ranger when you got the Thunder Coin." Chaos Green said.
"You may look and sound like me, but you aren't me." Twilight said back.
Rarity and Chaos Black look at each other, both ready to fight.
"There one thing I don't get, Why are you black when your fur coat is white?" Chaos Black ask.
"The color has nothing to do on who I am." Rarity said.
"Well you look ugly in either color." Chaos Black said.
"Oh...it...is...ON!" Rarity said.
Rarity ran up and threw an kick that Chaos Black block. Rarity jump back and throws a hoof-punch that Chas Black grab and threw an punch in Rarity guts that knock the breath out of her.
Twilight and Chaos Green were able to block and corner each other attacks and were evenly match for a bit. Then Chaos Green fake an kick and hoof-punch Twilight in her face knocking her back.
Twilight and Rarity stood back up and look at the Chaos Rangers.
"Gezz for one that can copy our powers they sure are strong." Rarity said.
"Ok, now we can morph." Twilight said and the two got ready.
Before they could use their morph cry, Nightmare Moon spoke up.
"Now, now, You'll get your chance. After all this was just a test." She said.
Then Nightmare Moon and the two Chaos Rangers teleported away. Twilight and Rarity look at each other wordless and nods. They ran off to tell the others what happen as Sweetie ran to tell her friends.
Princess Celestia was in the Command Center, smiling about Spike gift. She knew today was her birthday and Spike got her a small necklace with a sun on it. When she held it out in the sun, it glow. She had it on her hoof and was looking at the letter that was send with it. It was from Twilight and it was asking if she can come to Ponyville. It was imported and she had to speak in pony. She did haven't time to think about it when the Rangers teleported in the Command Center.
"Rangers? What brings you here?" She ask hiding her surprise.
"Princess Celestia, Nightmare Moon as made her own Pony Rangers." Twilight told her.
"What?" Celestia said not hiding her surprise this time.
"Yes, they are really Putties that are able to morph and me and Twilight fought them, Unmorph!" Rarity said as well.
Celestia walk up to the Viewing Globe and saw the six Chaos Rangers. She could easily tell that the Chaos Rangers were mimicking the Elements and the Thunder Coin.
"There is only one thing I can think of that will let Nightmare Moon have her own rangers. The Chaos Coins." She said.
"The Chaos Coins?" Pinkie ask.
"What are those?" Fluttershy ask.
"They are six powerful coins that fell with dark magic that can mimic your powers. I thought they were destroy along time ago, but it seems I was wrong." Celestia explain.
"So the putties are mimic all of ours powers?" Applejack ask.
"They are mimic your rangers form and weapons but they can't use your Zords." Celestia clear up.
"It fair that we can't let Nightmare Moon have her own rangers without seeing which group is stronger." Rainbow said.
"I'll go with you this time. My sister may have her own rangers but I must see if she has change at all. It sound like making her own rangers is the only plan she has left." Celestia said.
"Are you sure Princess?", Twilight ask and Celestia nods, "ok we will do our best."
Celestia and the Main Six arrive at the beach and saw Nightmare Moon and six of her putties.
"Ah, Celestia! I'm glad you came." Nightmare Moon smile.
"Luna, you are running out of plans. Your own Rangers sounds like you are running out of them." Celestia said.
"Normally I'll yell at you for calling me that but I'll let is slide because it your birthday." Nightmare Moon said calmly.
"You know about Celestia birthday?" Pinkie had to ask.
"Of course, what sister would I been if I didn't remember my sister birthday. In fact here my gift to you.", Nightmare said before turning to her Putties, "ok Putties....
"Alright girls.." Rainbow started to say as well.
"IT MOPRHIN' TIME!"
"GENEROSITY!"
"LAUGHTER!"
"HONESTY!"
"KINDNESS!"
"LOYALTY!"
"THUNDER!"
Soon the Element and Chaos Rangers stood ready. The Chaos Rangers look like the Element Rangers only all the white was now grey.
"Heh, You think you're cool?" Chaos Red said, sounding like Rainbow.
"Ya got another thing coming." Chaos Blue said, sounding like Applejack.
"We are the Chaos Rangers!" Chaos Pink said, sounding like Pinkie.
"And you going down." Chaos Yellow said, sounding like Fluttershy.
"Remember me? This time we will finish you!" Chaos Black said, sounding like Rarity.
"You Element Rangers are history!" Chaos Green said, sounding like Twilight.
"You can look and sound like us, but you can't be us." Rainbow said.
Celestia turn to rangers and said, "Defeat the Chaos Rangers. Go with your colors, that way you know who to attack.
"Right!" The Element Rangers said and then charge at the Chaos who charge back.
Rainbow and Chaos Red both threw a kick that connected with each other. Rainbow then threw a punch and Chaos Red block it before tripping her. Rainbow jump back up and was kick away into a near-by cliff. She stood up and Drew her Element Sword. Chaos Red also drew a sword but look to be gray and 1,000 years old. The two clash their swords together a few times and the grab each other hooves once the clash again. They span around before the both slash downwards hitting each other at the same time.
Fluttershy and Chaos Yellow were switching between blocking and fighting. Fluttershy was able to duck under a punch and try to trip Chaos Yellow but it jump in the air and threw out a kick as Fluttershy stood up. Fluttershy was knock to the ground but stood up quickly. She drew her Element Draggers and watch as Chaos yellow did the same. They too were grey and was over 1,000 years old. Fluttershy flew as fast as she can in hope to caught her opponent off guard, but Chaos Yellow block it and flip Fluttershy on her back. Fluttershy act by kicking it with her hoof and jump back to her hooves.
Applejack and Chaos Blue kept blocking each other upper hooves before Chaos Blue fake a punch and kick her away. Applejack recover and drew her Element Lance with Chaos Blue drawing the same weapons but grey and 1,000 years old. Applejack thrust the Lance forward and Chaos Blue push it you with it's Lance. It then turn to slash her but Applejack spin out of the away and spit her lance into two and started to strike with both of them. Chaos Blue kept blocking until it found an opening and strike Applejack down.
Pinkie and Chaos Pink was also blocking each others attacks until Chaos Pink did a Pinkie move on her. When Pinkie threw a punch, Chaos Pink disappear and then suddenly reappear behind her and kick her down. Pinkie was quite surprise. She maybe able to do the things no pony could understand, but how can this one? She never question about the things she does and Chaos Pink actually got Pinkie to think about it. She stood up and Drew her Element Bow and watch as Chaos Pink drew the same thing, again grey and 1,000 years old. The two fire a few arrows, some hitting each other, some missing, but one was able to hit Pinkie, knocking her down.
Rarity and Chaos Black was facing each other ready for one of them to make a move. Rarity remember last time that this ranger made fun of not only her ranger form but her normal form as well. Keeping a calm mind, Rarity took the first action and charge. She threw a punch that Chaos Black block and then she try to trip it. Chaos Black jump up and kick her away, after Rarity stop herself from falling over she was met with a roundhouse kick that knock her down. She quickly flip to her hooves and drew her Element Ax, Chaos Black copy her and the two started clashing their ax's together. After clashing a few times, Chaos Black broke through and slash Rarity away.
Twilight and Chaos Green were more even with each other then the others. Twilight block a kick and then move back as a punch come to her. She threw a kick that Chaos Green block and then threw a jump kick that it duck under. Twilight land and turn around, only to be met with a hoof-punch in her guts. She was threw kick away and fell to the ground. She flip herself back up and ready herself once again.
"Your Rangers are failing sister. My Chaos Rangers has more power then you ever known!" Nightmare Moon said as the two watch the fight.
"Your rangers may be strong Nightmare Moon, but my rangers have some yours don't not. Friendship." Celestia said not turning to the dark Alicorn.
The Element Rangers regroup and started to talk about a plan.
"Man, This guys are tough." Applejack said, trying to hold herself up.
"What a bunch of Meanies." Pinkie said trying to catch her breath.
"What do we do now?" Fluttershy ask, getting tried of fighting.
"I say we give them the taste of the Element Cannon." Rarity said angrily.
"Worth a shot. Let's do it!" Rainbow agree.
Soon the Element Cannon was ready but they were surprise to see the Chaos Rangers with their own Element Cannon ready. The Chaos Rangers laugh and fire knock the rangers away. They fire again and Twilight jump up in front and play her Thunder Dragger that made her Thunder Shield active making the shot boucle back but threw her off her hooves. The Chaos Rangers easily dodge the attack and Chaos Green slice the attack in half exploding around it.
"Give up Rangers! We are more powerful than you. There no way for you to beat us." The Chaos Rangers laugh.
All six Element Rangers stood back up with each of their weapons ready in their hooves.
"You think that your stronger then us? Guess again." Rainbow told them.
"When we became Rangers, we weren't sure of what to except." Fluttershy added.
"We were worry about our families getting hurt if they found out." Applejack said.
"When ever a monster attack, we were there and ready to fight." Pinkie said looking at them.
"We will not let some Chaos Rangers beat us!" Rarity shouted.
"We have been fighting a lot longer then you have, so we will never give up!" Twilight added as well.
Soon the rangers face the Chaos Rangers and started their roll call.
"With the Element of Generosity, Element Pony Ranger, Black!" Rarity said.
"With the Element of Laughter, Element Pony Ranger, Pink!" Pinkie said.
"With the Element of Honesty, Element Pony Ranger, Blue!" Applejack said.
"With the Element of Kindness, Element Pony Ranger, Yellow!" Fluttershy said.
"With the Element of Loyalty , Element Pony Ranger, Red!" Rainbow said.
"With the Power of Thunder, Element Pony Ranger, Green!" Twilight said.
"In the name of Harmony! We protect the weak and insure the peace!" Rainbow said.
"WE ARE THE ELEMENT PONY RANGERS!" They shouted as an explosion appear behind them.
They charge at the Chaos Rangers again, drawing their weapons and start another attack, but this time it was different.
Rainbow and Chaos Red once again clash swords until Rainbow push Chaos Red sword away and slash it twice, once sideways and once downwards, both leaving a red streak behind.
Fluttershy was dodging all of Chaos Yellow attacks before she kick it hooves away and slash it with her draggers sideways, leaving two yellow streaks.
Applejack still had her lance spit into two as she block all of Chaos Blue attacks. This went on for a bit before Chaos Blue knock Applejack lances in the air, but she kick out and push Chaos Blue back. She jump in the air and grab the lance and put them back together. Once she land, she swung out and hit Chaos Blue with a blue streak coming from it.
Pinkie and Chaos Pink both had their Bows out but this time Pinkie just remain still and ready her arrow. Chaos Pink was firing arrow after arrow trying to hit Pinkie but all shots miss. Then Pinkie fire her arrow that hit it mark, causing Chaos Pink to be push back. Pinkie then ran up to it and swung as hard as she could leaving a pink streak behind as she hit it.
Rarity had her ax in her blaster mode and was firing at Chaos black who deflect all her attacks. Rarity then fire at the ground in front of it, cover it vision. Before the smoke clear, Rarity rush up to it her ax back to attack mode. Rarity strike down hard, leaving a black streak behind as Chaos Black was knock away.
Twilight was able to block every single attack that Chaos Green threw at her. They both even had their Thunder Draggers out and clash them a few times. Twilight push Chaos Green back with a kick and saw it fire a beam from it horn. Twilight play the tune to let her Thunder Armor active and deflect the shot back and fire her own that hit Chaos Green.
Nightmare Moon couldn't believing what she was seeing. The Element Rangers were over powering her Chaos Rangers. Celestia just smile and knew that their friendship was their true power.
"Ok, time to finish this. ELEMENT WEAPONS COMBINE!!!" Rainbow shouted.
"Element Ax!" Rarity shouted flipping it around and move the handle to the base before throwing it in the air.
"Element Bow!" Pinkie shouted flipping her bow around before throwing it in the air and it combine with the Element Ax.
"Element Lance!" AppleJack shouted and spit the lance in half before throwing them to combine at the end of the bow.
"Element Draggers" Fluttershy shouted and flip her before throwing them. They went right next to the lances half's.
"Element Sword!" Rainbow shouted and jump up and grab the Element Ax before placing the Element Sword on top.
Rainbow land on the ground and aim at the Chaos Rangers. The others place their hooves on Rainbow's shoulders.
"ELEMENT CANNON! READY!" They shouted.
The Chaos Rangers had their cannon ready as well but before either of them could fire Twilight place her hoof on Rainbow.
"Added with the Power of Thunder!" She said.
"FIRE!" All six of them shouted and fire a powerful beam at the Chaos Rangers.
The Chaos Rangers fire back and it look like the attacks were even, until the Element Rangers attack got through and hit the Chaos Rangers Chaos Coins. Without their Chaos Coins, the Chaos Rangers powers were gone.. Their cannon was fling into the air were it was destroy. The Element Rangers turn away from the Chaos Rangers as they fell to the ground and exploded.
"My little Ponies, victory is ours!" All six said at the same time.
"No, no, NOOOOOO!", Nightmare Moon shouted, "I was so close!"
"Like I said, Your rangers may be strong Nightmare Moon, but my rangers have some yours don't not, Friendship.", Celestia repeat what she said earlier, "but I still thank you for remembering my birthday."
"This is not over! You heard me?! IT NOT OVER!!!" Nightmare Moon shouted and teleported back to the moon.
The Element Rangers all sat down and remove their helmets. They were tired and what to rest for a bit, even Pinkie.
"That took almost everything we had." Rainbow said as she took a few gulps of fresh air.
"Too true darling, I thought we were really done for." Rarity agree.
"Well, at least Nightmare Moon will think twice before sending Chaos Rangers at us again." Applejack added.
"It was scary, but I'm glad that over." Fluttershy said as she took breaths to calm herself.
"Normally I'll say I had fun, but I'll let this one pass. It wasn't fun at all." Pinkie said as well.
"I got a good feeling that Nightmare Moon is running out of monsters to fight us. Sooner or later, she going to have to fight us herself." Twilight said, feeling that the final fight was growing closer.
"And when time comes, you'll be ready. For now rest rangers, you been through a lot today." Celestia said.
"Not yet." Pinkie pipe up smiling happily.
"Yeah, that right. We got one more thing to do before we could really get some rest." Rainbow said knowing what Pinkie means.
"Princess Celestia, would you come back to Ponyville with us? We got a surprise for you." Twilight ask before she smile.
Soon they arrive at Ponyville, the rangers had de-morph before reaching there, and all the ponies in Ponyville jump out and shouted, "SURPRISE!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCESS CELESTIA!"
Celestia was very surprise. Try as she might, she just couldn't hide it. The Mane 6 smile, Nightmare Moon was stop once more and Celestia was about to have the best party in her life.
"My, this is quite of a surprise! You six did all this?" Celestia said then ask.
"Yeah, we plan everything." Pinkie said happily.
"Except Nightmare Moon attack with her own rangers." Twilight whisper to her teacher.
Celestia nods before seeing a giant cake that was made by the Cakes themselves. Pumpkin and Pound Cakes crawl up to Celestia and giggle happily to see her.
"Celestia!" Pumpkin said.
"Birthday!" Pound added.
Everypony laugh and had the great time of their live, even Celestia.
