It been three weeks since Twilight family agree to keep her and her friends Rangers duties a secret. Twilight had spend time at Canterlot looking over all books she didn't have back at Ponyville. Twilight was alone in Canterlot Library, it was one of her favorite places. Twilight look over a book and place back before pulling out a really old book.
"Huh? What's this?" Twilight said and open it.
Twilight started to read it and it told her about a timeline that Night was spend across the land and five heroes that once defend the land where destroy. Twilight eyes widen because she had a feeling that what happen in the story could happen here. As if it was tell her the future if her friends lost to Nightmare Moon.
"This is strange. It almost saying that this would happen if I didn't become a Ranger.", Twilight said thinking about it, "But why? If only I knew what happen then maybe I can help."
She then shook her head. She was so into the story, she felt like she was there already.
"Wow, I guess Rainbow right. I need to stay out of books a little bit more. But still, where did Celestia get this book?" Twilight said to herself.
Twilight flip the next page and saw a round hole that was the same size as her Thunder Coin. She took it out and place in the page, no sooner then she did, a bright green light shine through the book and Twilight turn her head away from it. She try to pull the coin out but as soon as she touch her coin everything when white.
"Ugh...my head." Twilight groan as she stood up.
Twilight spotted her Thunder coin and pick it up as it still gave off a green glow before dying out. Twilight could still feel it power and put it away and look around. She was surprise that it was dark and the moon was out. She also notices that she wasn't in Canterlot anymore but near the edge of the Everfree Forest.
"How did I get here?" Twilight ask, taking in her surrounding.
Twilight decide to walk forward to figure out where she was. She didn't get far before reaching to what look like Ponyville but many houses were destroy. Twilight walk through seeing no sign of any life. She soon come to her library/house and saw that the leaves on it were gone and the windows were board up. She try to enter it but found the door was lock. Twilight was about to teleport in when she hear something behind her. She turn around and ready herself for a fight. She stop in surprise to see an unicorn putty looking at her. Soon more join it and attack Twilight.
Twilight quickly block one attack and block another before flipping sideways to get away from the library. She then kick down one putty and grab another. While still hold on to that same putty, Twilight spin around and kick out, knocking down another putty. She then threw the putty hoof she had up in the air and then kick it away. She started switching to blocking between to putties before flipping out of the way. Twilight then fire a few beams that knock down each putty. Soon they disappear and Twilight caught her breath.
"That was strange. Why are Unicorn Putties here?" She ask before decide to look around some more.
After 10 minutes of searching, Twilight could tell some was very wrong. Time still flow but the moon has move since she got here. She walk pass an broken house and stop to see five Armor Ponies and the ground with Fighter over them.
What Fighter? But me and my friends destroy him! Twilight thought and decide to listen in on them.
"HAHAHA! This is the Princess best defense? You are noting but a joke! Only the Element Rangers could match up to my power." Fighter laugh.
"The Element Rangers never give up and either will we." The Red Armor Pony said as he stood up.
"HA! You can barely stand! I'm going to have fun destroying you!" Fighter said and raise his sword only for it to be blast out of his magic.
"WHAT?!" He shouted.
The Armor Ponies were just as surprise. Somepony just knock Fighter sword away from him and the soon saw who did.
"Opps! Sorry, I slip." Twilight said with a smirk.
"Who do you think you are?!" Fighter shouted at her.
Huh? He does know me? This is very weird. Twilight thought before walking up to him.
"I'll answer your question if you answer mine." Twilight said, stopping in front of the Armor Ponies.
"Heh, very well." Fighter said thinking this unicorn was making a big mistake.
"What time is it?" Twilight ask confusing all of them.
"Time? There is no time!" Fighter said not understanding why she ask that.
Twilight stood on her back hooves and place one of her hooves behind her. The Armor Ponies could see a golden coin appear in her hoof and what they heard next shock all of them.
"IT MORPHIN' TIME!" Twilight yell and brought the coin in front of her.
"THUNDER!"
In no time, Twilight morph in the Green Pony Ranger and stood ready for battle.
"What the?!", Fighter shouted surprise, "Just who are you?!"
"With the power of Thunder, I'm Element Ranger Green!" Twilight answer.
"An Element Ranger?!" Fighter shouted in shock.
Twilight drew her Thunder dragger and charge at Fighter who quickly raise his shield. Twilight jump over and land behind him, smiling under helmet. Twilight was testing him to see if he was the same Fighter she fought before.
"Who is that, Unicorn?" The black Armor Pony ask.
"Why, You like her?" The Pink Armor Pony ask teasing.
"Price, this is not time to joke! There another question we need to answer. How can she be an Element Rangers?" The Red Armor Pony said.
Fighter recover from his shock and made his horn grow. Twilight place the Thunder Dragger to the mouth piece and play the tune that like allow her to use her Thunder Shield. Fighter attack was defect back into him and he was knock away. Fighter jump back up and brought his sword over to him. Then he charge at Twilight who return the charge. Twilight and Fighter clash their weapons before Twilight kick out, knocking him away. Fighter took a few steps before stopping, Twilight then rush at him and threw a high kick that Fighter duck under and Twilight then try to put her Dragger down on him. Fighter try the same with his sword and both of them grab on to their weapons land on them. Then at the same time they both drew back, slashing each other. Twilight stood ready to fight some more. Fighter growl and charge again. Twilight decide to do something that she hasn't done since she first became a Ranger, fire a beam from her horn. Fighter was knock back again and lift his head to look at Twilight.
"I don't care if your a fan of the Element Rangers! You're going down!" He said.
Before he could charge again, another voice spoke up that Twilight knew.
"Fighter, enough!" It said.
"Nightmare Moon?!" Twilight shouted in surprise.
"My queen why did you stop me? I can easily taken out this fake Ranger." Fighter ask.
"There something about her power, I want you to retreat for now. We must study her and her power." Nightmare Moon said.
"Grrr.", Fighter growl, "This isn't over yet!"
Fighter teleported away from the field and Twilight power down. She turn to see the Armor Ponies walk up to her. Twilight could see that she was a strange to them because they don't know her and she doesn't know them.
"However you are, you were great!" Price said.
"Um, thanks?" Twilight ask confuse, She thought she was looking at Pinkie.
"What is you name?" the Red Armor pony ask.
"Twilight Sparkle, also know as Element Ranger Green." Twilight said.
"What?! That can't be!" The Blue Armor pony said.
"Huh?" Twilight ask confuse.
They didn't answer her, they look at each other before nodding and turning back to Twilight.
"We need you to come with us, our Princess will decide if your telling the truth." The Red Armor Pony said.
Princess? Is Princess Celestia still here? Twilight ask in her head.
She nods and follows them, wondering what was going on here.
Twilight follow them until they reach Canterlot, unlike what look like Ponyville, Canterlot was untouched. She soon found herself inside Canterlot Castle. As she walk she saw many things that wasn't change like the rest of Canterlot. She look around as the Armor Ponies look at her.
"Hey, Firewall.", The blue armor pony said to the red one, "Do you really think we should trust her?"
"Aqua, it not our place to judge this pony, besides I find it hard to believe that she says who she is." Firewall answer.
"So, what will happen if the princess find out?" The Black armor pony ask.
"Oh come on Full Moon." , Price said, "You worry too much."
"Yeah so what if she claim she a element ranger, that doesn't mean that she on Nightmare Moon side." The yellow armor pony said.
"And your not worry, Sunlight?" Full Moon ask.
"Just so you know, I can hear you." Twilight spoke over them.
The five ponies jump in surprise. They thought they were keeping it down but they guess not. They keep going until the reach the throne room, once inside Twilight was surprise to see an Alicorn that look just like her.
"Princess Twilight, we had found this pony in the ruins of Ponyville and claims that she is Twilight Sparkle." Firewall said as they bow and Twilight look at him in surprise.
"And she's telling the truth." The Princess said surprise the armor pony.
Twilight watch as her older-self walk down the steps and look her over. After a while she nods.
"This is what I look like when I was younger.", She said and walk around Twilight some more, "It be a long time since I seen my unicorn state."
"Um, I'm a little confuse right now, can somepony tell me what going on?" Twilight ask.
Princess Twilight told her that Nightmare Moon had won and the Element Rangers, along with the elements themselves, were destroy. She was able to find and rebuilt the Element into armors that the five ponies behind her now wears. Twilight was quite surprise, it remind her of that book she found.
"The ones behind you is Firewall, the Loyalty Armor Ranger." At his name, the armor disappear show him to be a red Pegasus with a orange and yellow mane and tail and a wall of flame as his cutie mark.
"Aqua, the Honestly Armor Ranger." At his name, the armor disappear to show he an blue earth Pony with a darker blue mane and tail and a raindrop has his cutie mark.
"Sunlight, the Kindness Armor Ranger." At her name, her armor disappear to show she was a Pegasus with a orange mane and tail with a sun has her cutie mark.
"Full Moon, the Generosity Armor Ranger." At his name, his armor disappear to show he was a black unicorn with a white mane and tail with a full moon as his cutie mark.
"And Price, the Laughter Armor Ranger." At her name, her armor disappear to show she was a pink earth pony with a brown mane and tail and crown as her cutie mark.
"Wait, Rangers?" Twilight ask.
"Yes, we are the Armor Pony Rangers." Firewall said.
"So how did you become a ranger?" Price ask.
"Wait, your a ranger?" Princess Twilight ask.
"Um yes, I'm a Element Ranger.", Twilight answer and pull out her Thunder Coin, "This coin allows me to morph when I need to."
Princess Twilight took it in her magic and look at it, then drop it in shock. Twilight look at her in surprise and went to pick her coin back up.
"Where did you find this coin?" Princess Twilight ask stopping her.
"Nightmare Moon give this coin to a pegasus name Lighting Dust. For some time she had a her own ranger that work with her. After a while my friends was able to bring her to me and I started to look over the Coin. However, sometime during that, Lighting Dust woke up and try to get the coin back, but I was able to stop her and use the coin to morph." Twilight explain.
"A power from Nightmare Moon?" Price ask.
"That another Pegasus use?" Sunlight ask next.
"And now you can use?" Full Moon ask last.
"Yes to all three." Twilight answer.
Princess Twilight thought about it for a while but didn't get far when a guard come running in.
"Princess! Nightmare Moon and her minions are at the city gates!" He said.
"Armor Rangers! Ready yourselves!" She told the new Pony Rangers.
"Yes, your highness." They said and follow the guard out.
"I hate when they call me that." Princess Twilight said.
"But you understand why right?" Twilight ask her older self.
"Yes, Listen Twilight, I need you to stay here and never use the Thunder Coin again." Princess Twilight said then hold her younger self.
"What?" Twilight ask shock.
"The Thunder Coin is full with Chaos Powers and the more you use it the more dangerous it will become." She said and walk out.
Twilight just stood there trying to figure out what her older self means. Still, She had the Thunder Coin for some time and she hasn't became dangerous, right?
It doesn't matter, I as long as I choose to help the Elements, there no way it power can be dangerous. Twilight thought before walking out of the throne room.
Princess Twilight step out of Canterlot with the Armor Rangers still un-morph right behind her. She face Nightmare Moon who let out a smile.
"Princess Twilight, no matter what you do, your rangers are powerless." She said.
"The Element Rangers never gave up and either are we." Princess Twilight said.
"Heh, going on and on about those weak ponies, they never stood a chance.", Nightmare Moon laugh, "Destroy them."
"Ok guys, IT MORPHIN' TIME!" Firewall shouted and all five of them lift their right hooves and hitting each gem on it.
"Loyalty Armor Power!"
"Kindness Armor Power!"
"Honesty Armor Power!"
"Laughter Armor Power!"
"Generosity Armor Power!"
"With the power of the Element Pony Rangers, We stand in their place to protect the peace!" Firewall said.
"WE ARE ARMOR PONY RANGERS!!!" They all shouted.
"Hehe, Try all you want you stand no chance!" Nightmare Moon said as her minions charge.
The Rangers charge back and what appear to be a all out war happen. Princess Twilight charge at Nightmare Moon who charge back in return. Their horns clash as soon as they met.
Else where, Twilight Sparkle ran through Canertlot trying to find her older self when she heard a loud clash. She guess that the fight had already started. She ran towards the sound knowing that she could help, no matter what the coin is. Twilight reach there in no time as saw the Armor Rangers fighting Nightmare Moon minions and losing badly. She turn to see her older self get blast back from Nightmare Moon and slid across the ground. Nightmare Moon smile and Twilight knew what was going to happen and she was going to stop it.
"NIGHTMARE MOON!!!" Twilight shouted.
Everypony stop and turn to the purple unicorn. Fighter was completely surprise to see her and remember the fight they had. The Rangers were surprise that she show up.
"What are you doing?" Firewall shouted.
"It far to dangerous here!" Full Moon added.
"I'm not running. It my job as a ranger to Protect the weak and insure the peace." Twilight said not backing down.
Nightmare Moon laugh thinking she just told a funny joke.
"And what make you think you can stop me?" She ask.
Twilight smile back.
"I have something that I got from another pony that you gave to." She said.
Nightmare Moon look at Twilight before she stood on her back hooves and had one hoof behind her. Only the Armor Rangers and Fighter knew what she was doing.
"IT MORPHIN' TIME!" She shouted.
"THUNDER!"
Soon everypony saw Twilight as the Green Element Ranger again and Twilight stood ready to fight once more. Nightmare Moon was quite surprise to see that unicorn morph with a coin she never seen.
"Just who are you?" She ask.
"With the power of Thunder, I'm Element Ranger Green!" Twilight told her.
"Element Ranger?", Nightmare Moon ask before growing angry, "I destroy the Element Rangers a long time ago!"
"Well, I'm after another timeline then.", Twilight said getting surprise looks from them, "In my Timeline, Nightmare Moon never beaten the Element Rangers and try to have her own Ranger. The plan almost work but my friends never gave up. Soon the evil ranger was caught and I started to look over the coin. The evil ranger woke during that time and I was able to kept her away from the coin. When I was stuck in a bad spot, I use it to morph for the first time."
Twilight stop and let what she said sink in their heads.
"I'm know as Element Ranger Green, but my real name is Twilight Sparkle!" She said.
Nightmare Moon then was shock to her that name. She turn back to Princess Twilight then back to Twilight Sparkle. She realizes that the unicorn wasn't lying. The unicorn was Twilight before she became an Alicorn. She growl and walk up to the green ranger.
"So, that power if from me huh?", She said as her horn glow, "Then I'll guess I'll take it back!"
She fire a beam at Twilight who already raise her Thunder Dragger and active her thunder shield that deflect the attack back at her. Nightmare Moon place a shield around her as her own attack hit it. She then charge at Twilight who stood ready to fight her.
Nightmare Moon charge and fire another beam that Twilight duck under and ran up to her and threw a high kick that knock Nightmare Moon down. She stood up and fire another beam that Twilight jump over. She run up to Nightmare Moon and threw a punch that she block and try to counter. Twilight duck under it then threw a uppercut that knock Nightmare Moon in the air and she land on the ground not far from them.
"Come on, I had a harder time fighting in my timeline." Twilight smile under her helmet but knew to be ready for anything.
"You think you can beat me?!", She shouted, "You haven't seen noting yet!"
Twilight knew what was going to happen next. She stood ready incase she was still able to bring the Dragonzord into the fight.
"BY THE POWER OF THE MOON! MAKE ME GROW!" She shouted and soon grew 20 feet tall.
"It been a long time since Nightmare Moon done that." Princess Twilight said.
"I just hope I can bring my friends here." Twilight said and play the Thunder Dragger.
In a away lake the Dragonzord rose and stomp it way to Canterlot. Everypony turn in surprise to see since a creature, while Twilight smile.
"It for some Dragonzord power!" She said before jumping inside her zord.
"What?!" Nightmare Moon ask in shock.
"Oh, did I forget to tell you that the Thunder Coin came with own zord?" Twilight ask.
"It doesn't matter, you will fall ranger!" Nightmare Moon shouted and fire a few beam at the Dragonzord.
The Dragonzord walk past all the beans that exploded around it before reaching Nightmare Moon. The Dragonzord started to swipe it claws a few time missing Nightmare Moon as she dodge then swing it tail around hitting Nightmare Moon. Nightmare Moon was thrown back and roll across the ground before jump back up and threw her front hooves that hit and knock the Dragonzord back. Twilight had the Dragonzord regain it balance and raise it claws.
"DRAGONZORD ROCKET-FINGERS, GO!" Twilight shouted and the rockets force Nightmare Moon back
"You're too convenient about your win over the Element Rangers, you thought there was no power in the world that could stop you!", Twilight said as Nightmare Moon got up, "the Thunder Coin maybe fill with a different power then the Elements but as long as I bare it, I can use it to how I see it fit!"
The Dragonzord roar and Twilight nods in understanding.
"TAIL DRILL ATTACK!", Twilight shouted as the tail started to spin, "STRIKE!!!"
The tail hit Nightmare Moon and she fell in surprise. The attack didn't destroy her but left her very weak.
"I won't destroy you.", Twilight said, "As a ranger I must never use force on anypony that does not deserve it. So Nightmare Moon, I have a easier time with you because you are over convenient about your victory before I came here and you say you was going to study me., but it look like you never did."
Nightmare Moon growl and shrink back to her normal size. Twilight jump out of the Dragonzord and power down. She walk up to her then whisper in her ear.
"Celestia told me about what happen to you...Luna." she said.
Nightmare Moon look at her in surprise then grew angry once more.
"DO NOT CALL ME THAT!!!" She shouted and fire a beam at her.
Twilight stood as the beam came at her and saw her older self appear and place a shield around them.
"You lost Nightmare Moon, you have may a grave mistake." Princess Twilight said.
Nightmare Moon growl before anther voice spoke up.
"As long as the Elements exist, your power will never take over." It said.
Everypony turn to see Celestia in a glowing light.
"What?! Celestia?! But I imprison you in the sun like you di with me in the moon!!" Nightmare Moon shouted.
"Yes, you did. It was I who also brought Twilight Sparkle here as well." She said.
"WHAT?!" Everypony shouted.
"I knew Nightmare Moon was getting to powerful so I had to find somepony that had the power to match her and a good heart. One I discover another timeline where Nightmare Moon as not destroy the rangers and Twilight was a ranger I knew that she could help." Celestia said.
"So you're the one that...." Twilight try to say.
"Yes, young Twilight, I was the one to place the book in Canterlot library." She answer.
Nightmare Moon growl once more and try to fire a bean that Celestia block with ease.
"WHAT?!" She shouted.
"Nightmare Moon, you should remember that when I imprison you, I just didn't put you on the moon but I also put you inside a moon rock that drain you of your powers." Celestia said.
"GRRRR! This isn't over!" She shouted and teleported away with her minions following her.
"She gone for now, but she will return, however, she will return to her old ways as in sending monsters to stop you." Celestia said.
"Giving you guys some time to train until your just as good as the original rangers." Twilight smile.
"And now for you to return to your timeline." Celestia said.
"Huh?" Twilight ask.
"Princess Celestia are you sure?" Princess Twilight ask.
"Yes, I brought her here to weaken Nightmare Moon and help your Armor Rangers, now that is done it not time for her to return and help the rangers." Celestia said.
"What?" Twilight ask.
"Nightmare Moon of your time is about to attack and your power is needed then more." Celestia said.
"I understand.", Twilight said and turn to the Armor Rangers, "Good luck all of you. Nightmare Moon monster maybe tough but remember as long as your bare the Elements you can over come anything by working together. I saw how you guys were fighter before I morph."
"So by working together you can over come anything Nightmare Moon will throw at you. That what may my friends powerful rangers." Princess Twilight said.
"And great friends." Twilight added.
"Come Twilight Sparkle, it time for you to return." Celestia said.
Twilight nods then hugs each armor ranger in surprise. Then she hug her older self who return the hug.
"Good Luck Element Ranger Green." Princess Twilight said.
"And don't hug me next time. I'm not use to those." Firewall said.
"Oh come on, you sound like your mom." Sunlight said.
"Yeah, my and Full Moon moms had no problems with them.
Princess Twilight roll her eyes before turning back to her younger self.
"What did you do to make her so mad at her?" She ask.
"Why don't you ask Celestia?" She answer with a smile.
Twilight walk next to Celestia and waited for Celestia to take her home.
"Twilight please take out your Thunder Coin." She said.
Twilight did and waited again.
"Now raise it to the air and shouted by the power of thunder." She said next.
Twilight raise it and shouted, "By the power of Thunder!"
Soon a green thunderbolt shot from the night sky and hit her. Not only morphing her but make her glow as well.
"Good, now I can use my magic to send you back." Celestia said as her horn glow.
"Take care Element Ranger." Everypony said as Twilight disappear into a green light and shot towards the sky.
Twilight open her eyes to see she was back at Canterlot Library. She look down in her hooves to see her Thunder Coin giving off a soft glow but no book this time.
Twilight was confuse on what happen, but had a strong feeling that it wasn't dream. It wasn't long before she heard her coin go off.
She raise it and said, "This is Twilight Sparkle."
"Twilight you must hurry to Ponyville. The rangers are fighting another one of Nightmare Moon monsters." Celestia voice came through.
"I'm on my way." She said and stood up.
She ran out of the room shouting, "IT MORPHIN' TIME" not noticing a glow light that stood where she once was. After floated there for a few seconds, it disappear as if it was never there.
