This morning was cold. I sat up and yawned and looked around, somepony had blown out my candles and it was VERY dark. My horn flashed and the lights came on, but nothing was there. I was half expecting someone or something to be there. I got up and like every day I made my way to the throne room but as I was one hallway away I heard a voice. “You elements are useless against me now! The night shall last forever!” My face darkened and I rushed into the throne room.
“WHAT IN THE NAME OF MY NIGHT IS GOING ON IN HERE!?” I had accidently use my Royal Canterlot Voice and scared the elements of harmony and........Nightmare Moon? About as witless as they could get.
“W-what? I thought you were asleep!” She hissed at me but my pissed off look took a LOT of the cake.
“Yes I was but like any normal pony I WOKE UP! Now get you flank out of my throne or I’m going to send you to some place colder than the moon!” She was about to do so then stopped.
“And why should I listen to you? You’re not the king anymore!” I extended my wings in a hostile manner in which Fluttershy passed out.
“You had better run girl...” Dash whispered loud enough for Nightmare to hear her. She gulped but stood her ground.
“Right then...” I sighed and my horn started to glow purple. She gulped again.
“You have something about you, it makes me fear you...” She muttered. I grinned and stood up on my back hooves.
“Why? Because, I’M YOUR FATHER!” I just had to do that. I grinned and started walking towards her my wings still extended. She by this time started to panic and was throwing her strongest spells at me. Note to self: Thank Peter for that blessing of stone hide. I made my eyes a little wider. “You know...” A bolt of dark lightning hit my chest. “If Lulu and Tia are my daughters, and you’re somewhat Lulu....” A lot of power was put into that one.....ouch, I felt that one! “You know what that makes you?” I grinned like a mad man-er, pony. She was breathing heavily and quickly, I swear she was going to cry out in fear as I stopped right in front of her. I stood on my back hooves and grabbed her in a hug. “That makes YOU my daughter too.” The looks on everypony’s faces was PRICELESS! I swear this is the best thing I have ever done! All of the elements except for Pinkie (Who D’awwed instead) gasped (AGAIN!). Nightmare went as wide eyed and let out a low gasp. Peter was suddenly beside Pinkie who joined in the D’aww which must have spread to the other elements.
“W-what?” Nightmare looked around unable to escape my fatherly death hug.
“You are not hated. There are a lot of ponies here that love you and the night. Heck I AM the night and I’m loved. So that means you are loved as well. So I’m going to let you go now, you’re not going to run are you?” She thought for a moment then sighed shaking her head. “Good.” I let her go and waited. She was telling the truth, she didn’t run. I turned to Peter and smiled. “Find me a spell to separate the two?” He smiled and nodded walking off, followed by Twilight who had a look of excitement. I turned to the element that had remained. “I thank you all for coming for I may need help with this. Are you all up to it?” They all nodded. “Good, Now I ask you all to wait a moment. Nighty.” I turned to Nightmare with her new found nickname. “You be nice to the elements. I have to go make sure Twi and Keeper don’t blow up the castle, and let Tia go, where ever you put her.” I giggled a bit and FINALLY got a smile out of her, even if it was a small one.
I walked into the library to find Peter and Twi......BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHASHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! OH DEAR THEIR MAKING OUT! OH MY NIGHT! Anyway my sudden outburst scared the IQ points out of the both of them cause they couldn’t pronounce a single word. “Hey! Your secret is safe with me!” I grinned and laughed a bit more. “Anyway, find anything?” Peter nodded and walked past me.
“Yes, and it’s a good thing you told the elements to stay.” He explained everything to me on the way back. The elements had to stand in a circle and feed power to the both of us so we could quickly make a body for Nighty while allowing Lulu to stay in her own body.
“Right, let’s get started.” I called as we entered the throne room just in time to stop a fight from starting between Nighty and Dash, something about the Shadowbolts or something. “Right! Harmony in a circle now!” I ordered as they began to do so. When everything was in place Peter and I got to work. It was a good thing we were getting magic from the elements cause I ran out of power FAST doing this. In the middle of the spell Tia entered the room and watched with wide eyes. As the body was being made something went.....wrong, It didn’t grow up! I half hoped she would not remember anything and be a little girl for me to raise. We gave up on the body and took Nighty’s soul and placed it into the body. Lulu’s body returned to normal and Nighty’s body changed to match her, her pelt changed to look a bit darker then mine and her eyes were green dragon eyes.
We finished up and let them go, they both passed out as soon as they reached the floor. I sighed and looked at everypony. The elements were out of breath and Tia was looking over Lulu. I walked over to Nighty and smiled. “Goodnight baby girl. You’ve earned it.” I picked her up with my magic and put her on my back. “Elements, you are welcome to stay the night here if you wish. Keeper, you go to bed, you need it.” I walked out of the throne room and into my bedroom. I set her down in my bed and laid down next to her, curling around her as if to protect her from the outside world. “Goodnight, my little angel.” I muttered before falling asleep.
