"Princess!" Exclaimed twilight after realizing her teacher was present.
"Royalty huh?" Asked the knight after looking at the the princess observingly. She certainly looks the part that's for sure.
"Now I ask again. Before I get angry you had best answer. Who are you?" Asked Celestia again with her voice becoming more and more forceful with each passing word.
"I am Davion. The dragon knight."
"Now what in equestria is a dragon knight?" Asked Celestia again with a slightly less forceful tone.
"I am a knight who has gained the power of a dragon."
"Sounds too far fetched to be honest. For all I know you could simply use spells to do the things you do," Said Celestia eyeing daggers at the knight..
"True. I have reasonable proof that I am part dragon."
"What proof?" Asked twilight and Celestia almost simultaneously.
"Sorry," Said twilight with a slight blush.
"You see princess. I can turn into a dragon."
With surprised expression on Twilight, Celestias, and especially Spikes face they all stared at the knight like he was mad. Which happened a lot to the knight. Unsurprisingly. But then a mare maybe a little smaller then Celestia stepped out of the carriage eyeing the knight like he was a wild animal waiting to be put down.
"Next thing you'll tell us is that you can breathe fire that can freeze," Said the shorter but darker one.
"I can do that actually. I can also make fire that's acidic. Now this high populated area. Let us go where I can show you freely."
"Yes. I wish to see this myself," Scoffed Luna in disbelief. "Also my name is Luna. Yours?"
"Davion."
After walking for several minutes the five reached a small grasslands like area. Far enough for the knight to show them his power
I hope to the ancients this will work. I hate making a fool of my self.
When the five stopped walking the knight noticed several other ponies that decided to see the knight. Many had doubt, some anger and others had amazement. Especially the little ones. They didn't seem afraid. More like they wished to see the knights amazing magic.
"Well? We are waiting," Said Luna coldly.
With a large inhale the dragon knight focused searching for his strength. After believing he was ready Davion exhaled loudly and then it happened. The knights body was wrapped in flames. These flames like always never burned or hurt the knight. When the flames fully wrapped the knight in a neutral embrace the flames bulged until the knight now dragon stretched out his wings and roared loudly enough to scare even a manticore. The knight then looks back at the crowd and huffs out a puff of steam from his nostrils.
" Believe me now?
With a slow nod from everyponys heads the dragon then spread his wings victoriously and flew straight upwards. After going past the clouds the dragon looks down upon the town and realizes how big it actually was. Sure wasn't nearly as large as the battlefield he has grown so used to but was still fairly large town. With a nod the dragon then flew straight down landing in the same spot spreading small amounts of dirt and grass outwards upon his impact.
"Bravo! Bravo!" Exclaimed a familiar elderly voice.
" Keeper! You have a lot to explain! Said the dragon
"I know. But I've told you. I wont let you come back until you learn the power of friendship. Plus there's another reason but I wont tell you that quite yet," Said the keeper.
With this the dragons familiar neutral flames wrapped around him and turned back to his humanoid stature.
"Now Celestia. Daughter I will leave you with my friend. Just don't tell him of my plan. Not yet. Tata!" Said the keeper disappearing in a ball of light fading away towards the sun.
"Keeper is your father?!" Asked the knight obviously surprised at this.
"Yes he is. Technically grandfather but he treats me like his own offspring. Now the question is where will you stay? Residence wise of course," Said Celestia with a pondering look on her face.
"He can stay with us Right Twilight?" Asked Spike quickly.
"Spike! Its not that I wont give him shelter its just that I uh well..." Said twilight at a lost for her own words.
"Don't trust me. Don't worry. I am a knight after all. I promise on my honor I shall not harm anyone without a reason."
"Alright. And its every pony."
"Let us go. Also Spike it was? Why were you so adamant about me joining you two?"
"Well you see I've only met a few other dragons and well they're total jerks. Always," Said Spike slightly muttering
"Ah I see."
"Here we are. Now a few rules. You will not mess up my books. And you will help me at least every so often," Said twilight putting her hoof to the knights chest and pulling it back hast fully.
"I understand," Said the knight bluntly.
After the rules were stated the knight, the book worm, and the infant dragon entered the library. Looking around the knight finally spoke up.
"Where may I rest?" Asked the knight.
" Oh um...." Stuttered twilight.
"Its alright. I can rest on the floor. I have rested in rougher circumstances."
"Alright. Well good night. See you tomorrow," Said twilight trotting back upstairs to her room.
With that spike brought down his little hand basket of a bed and asked.
"Could I sleep by you?"
"I don't mind," Said the knight bluntly.
"THanks."
Spike then put down his 'bed' and curled up in his small blanket and started to sleep.
"Keeper. I just have a feeling that you have me here for more then friendship. Something big. Now what is the question."
The knight the closed his eyes and drifted off to a peaceful sleep.
