Lance was trying on his suit he loved it it was a black with an intricate white moon scrawled across the side with a dark blue accent around the cuffs. "Rarity this was worth every bit." Lance said looking at himself in the mirror if he had his black coat you couldn't tell he was wearing a suit beside the moon design. "Where did you learn to do this kind of work?" Lance asked looking back at her.
"I taught myself darling." She said with a gentle smile. "But why did you pay so much for it?" She asked Lance smiled.
"I told you I would pay the difference between the two the nightmare and the suit I normally charge a lot because the people I treat are extremely rich I used to charge less until my work was recognized." He smiled. "Might as well get paid for my suffering." Lance said as he straightened his tie.
"Suffer?" Rarity said quizzically. "You mean your coat?" she asked confused as to what he meant.
"I would take a nightmare and then suffer with it until I learned to dispose of them I rarely slept and drank a lot just so I could sleep." Lance said walking towards her. "Don't tell Twilight she would worry about me nonstop if she knew." Lance said with a smile. "Thank you again Rarity I need to be going I have to go see Luna to show her the suit." Lance said and in a snap of darkness he was gone.

Lance appeared in Luna's bedroom she looked over at him smiling. "So my love how do I look?" Lance said doing a little spin she smiled at him walking up and kissing him tenderly on the lips Lance returned the kiss happily. They slowly pulled apart both blushing. "I take it you like it?" Lance asked sarcastically. Luna only smiled and kissed him again.
"I love it Lance." Luna said calmly. "I still can believe you paid Rarity so much for it." She said disbelieving but still smiling.
"Ah who cares that money has just been cluttering my bank for years now need to get rid of it somehow." Lance said with a dismissive wave of his hoof.
"Tomorrow is the ball I can't wait Lance." She said though she frowned. Lance put a hoof under her chin looking at her smiling.
"We can make this work Luna Trust me." Lance beamed as he kissed her for the final time today. "I will see you tomorrow Luna to walk with you into the ball." Lance said calmly as he disappeared in a snap of darkness. Luna sighed seeing her lover leave one day maybe they can be together not just in secret.

Lance appeared in ponyville but not even a second after he appeared he was tackled by a pink blur. "Hiya Lance are your ready to party. cuz I am ready to PARTAY!" Pinkie yelled and squealed bouncing around happily Lance couldn't even recover from the happy assault could only laugh.
"Yes I'm ready to party lets go PARTY!" Lance yelled running with her to sugarcube corner.
Lance was happy by the surprise party but was more surprise that people were happy to see him. "Pinkie had to name it Apples of The Nightmare didn't she?" Lance asked smiling as he took a drink of his cider. They sighed.
"At least it is good business for you and Applejack." Twilight said with a smile. Lance sighed when he saw her blush at him.
"Twilight I told you before I won't say it again." Lance said coldly she looked down brokenhearted Rainbow dash took up the defensive for her friend.
"What the buck is wrong with you?" Rainbow Dash asked in a low growl. Lance didn't flinch at this he only finished his drink. "Answer me you jerk." She yelled at him.
"Have Twilight tell you she has a better explanation than me." Lance said as he stood up. "Now if you excuse me I have to prepare for tomorrow." Lance said with a bow. He turned around and walked out of the party without many ponies noticing he left.

"Tell us sugarcube what happened between you two?" Applejack asked calmly but still curious. Twilight sighed.
"I asked him out yesterday but he turned me down said he was already dating someone he was polite about it but Lance was never a person to repeat himself. That's why he was cold earlier." Twilight said calmly.
"You asked him to the Winter Festival Ball didn't you Darling." Rarity asked she only nodded calmly. "He is going with Luna." Rarity said sadly. That statement shocked everyone Lance was going with Luna. "They do have the same talent Darling dream walking is a rare talent so they must be very good friends." Rarity said trying to prove a point.
"That's true but I still wonder who he is dating?" Twilight said with a frown but then it hit her. "No way that's not possible." She said running off to find Lance there were answers she needed.
