Heavy Fear

Lance walked the streets of ponyville it was a quiet little tone maybe Luna and himself could move here one day. Lance in his town gazing ran into somepony. "I am terribly sorry about that." Lance replied there was a loud gasp and the pony he ran into ran off in a puff of smoke. Lance was confused by this but dismissed it calmly. "What was that?" He asked continuing to walk around town he stopped at a a giant tree it had a sign that said library. He knocked on the door and it slammed open startling Lance. "Hello?" He asked concerned.
"Come in..." A groggy voice said from inside it sounded horrifying. Lance walked in to see a Twilight Sparkle face down on a desk.
"Twilight is that you?" Lance asked she looked up to see Lance she ran up hugging him.
"Lance it has been so long how has your work been going?" She asked now in a happy state but Lance could tell she was tired. "Do you need a book on nightmares?" She asked looking around frantically.
"Twilight I wrote most of the books on Nightmare study you know that." He said but Twilight didn't listen he sighed pulling out a syringe and injecting her in the neck with the serum she collapsed in a heep Spike saw this happen and charged Lance but slammed into a magic shield Lance looked back to him and smiled as he cast his spell on Twilight stealing her nightmare but it was filled with such pain and sorrow it turned most of his legs black. Lance felt sick "She will be fine when she awakes. All I did was take her nightmare." Lance said as he fell over two nightmares in a row really tanks on the mind and body.

"Think he will be alright dear?" A voice said sounded familiar.
"Spike tried two buckets of water and nothing." Said another voice Lance opened his eyes slowly to see a bucket of water splash on him.
"What the buck! Why water you could have just nudged me." Lance said annoyed the water was freezing he still felt light headed but he needed to move to shake off the feeling but then he noticed them all six of them. "Ok I know Twilight and Rarity who is everyone else?" Lance asked.
The rainbow maned mare was annoyed "How dare you not know the fastest flier in Equestria and Future Wonder Bolt. Rainbow Dash." She said cockily Lance looked at her flatly.
"Mah name is AppleJack I run Sweet Apple Acres." The Orange Mare said with a smile.
"Pinkie Pie I should hold a party for you for not being dead and surviving whatever it is that happened to you and a welcome party." The Pink Mare bounced around Lance which made him more dizzy.
The last mare a yellow mare with pink hair just hid behind Twilight.
"So let me get this straight." He pointed to Rainbow. "Nightmares about not being the best." He said as he pointed at Applejack next. "Nightmares on not being able to support your family." He shifted to Pinkie Pie. "I won't say because it will make you sad." He said with a frown he then shifted to Fluttershy. "Your nightmare would kill me." He said calmly. They all looked at him shocked.
"Girls let me introduce Lance Nightmare he is the leading authority on the study of nightmares his talent is taking of nightmare and disposing of them." Twilight said calmly.
four syringes stuck into Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy. Lance smiled watching them fall asleep he activated his spell stealing their nightmares but something was painful about this his coat turned pure black and blood streamed from his nose he coughed a pool of crimson. Twilight looked at him shocked "Ow ow ow." Lance said trying to compose himself but was failing he felt the world around him darken and then a loud slam. What had just happened.
"Lance... LANCE!" Were the last words he heard from Twilight.
