"It's just a large, metal box, Nikola" Twilight told him.
"You don't understand, Twilight" Tesla said, "It's storage, it will keep the electricity from overflowing, what can't you understand about that?"
"I'm tired, Nikola, we've been at this thing for seven and a half hours!" She shouted, "I want to go to bed, it's three o'clock. In. THE. MORNING!"
"I'm fully aware of that, Twilight. But this can get me a few steps further to finishing off my machine" Tesla told her.
"Yes, I know, but couldn't you do it later? You seem to be very impatient" Twilight replied.
"I would, but I have a machine for Applejack to build, and that took me a while, so, the more we get complete out of the bank, then I'll be able to proceed with completing Applejack's machine later on. Come on, just one more thing left to do" Tesla explained.
Twilight sighed, "There's no stopping you, is there?"
Tesla shook his head, "There isn't"
Tesla had recently brought in a table to Twilight's basement so he could work on the pulse, it's also where him and Twilight are currently working the capacitor bank on,
"Twilight, could you come to the other side of the table please, and help me finish this?" Tesla asked.
"What's the problem?" Twilight asked.
"Just come here please" Tesla said.
Twilight did so and approached him at the other side of the table,
"Could you help me push this final piece into the box, it needs more pressure applied, if it's going to be able to get into the machine" Tesla told her.
"Okay, then after this, I can go to bed?" Twilight made sure.
"Of course" Tesla replied.
"Okay, what do I do?" Twilight asked.
"You seen that empty space between my hooves? Place one of your hooves in-between, then place your other hoof above the hoof left between mine" Tesla ordered.
Twilight nodded as she followed Tesla's orders, after she did so, she asked,
"What now?"
"Alright, now, at my count to three, I want you to push this piece as hard as you possibly can into the box" Tesla instructed.
"Okay" Twilight replied.
"One..." Tesla started.
"Two...." Tesla added as he got ready to push.
"....Three!" He shouted.
As soon as Tesla shouted three, they both pushed against the piece until it slotted into the box after about thirty seconds of pushing, afterwards, Tesla banged his armed against the piece to check if it was fully fitted into place,
"Fits like a jigsaw puzzle" Tesla told himself.
"That's it over?" Twilight asked after catching her breath.
"Yes. Thank you very much, Twilight" Tesla thanked.
"No problem" Twilight replied before sighing out of exhaustion, "I'm going to bed now"
Twilight made her way towards the door, feeling very tired, and just before she managed to escape out of her basement, Tesla asked her another question,
"What's the deal with the tattoos?" Tesla asked.
Twilight became confused. She then turned around back to face him,
"What tattoos?" She asked him.
"The tattoos on the sides of your legs" Tesla replied.
"Oh, these?" She asked as she realized what he was talking about, "This is my cutie mark, I have it on both my hind legs, it symbolizes my special talent"
"Which is what?" Tesla asked.
"I'm great at magic" Twilight said.
Tesla rolled his eyes at the word, "magic". It's still not a thing he's used to yet,
"You still don't like magic, do you?" Twilight asked.
"It's not that I don't like magic, it's just that it's not something I'm instantly going to get used to in this world" He replied.
"Well, you're going to have to, every Unicorn uses it, and it's one of the most popular things we use in our economy and society" Twilight told him.
"Does everyone have a cutie mark?" Tesla asked so both he and Twilight don't go off-topic.
"Well, no one is born with one, they appear after we've discovered our talent, you have yours, didn't you notice?" Twilight asked.
"No, I didn't notice" replied Tesla as he looked at his flank to see his cutie mark was an electrical circle, colored purple, "What does it mean?"
"It probably has something to do with science" Twilight smiled, "Goodnight, Nikola"
"Goodnight Twilight" Tesla replied.
Twilight was heading upstairs to her bed; tired, exhausted and groggy. She went over to her bed and saw Spike sleeping on his smaller bed, beside hers. On her bed, she saw a piece of paper with another piece of paper stuck on it, a small post-it note. Twilight pulled of the small post-it note that was on the paper and read it. It said,
Twilight, this is Celestia's letter that she sent back, was going to give it to you once you came in, but you and Nick Niky Nikola stormed in and went down to the basement to do something. But anyways, here you go - Spike
Twilight levitated the post-it note into a small bin used for notes that aren't needed, after she did that, she levitated Celestia's letter and unfolded it, it read as such,
Dear Twilight,
Thank you for informing me about this pony, I am
interested in meeting said fellow, only when you
have the time. If you think he could advance our
kind forward in a technological advance, then I
should see this for myself and then tell you what
I think. Please do reply when you have the time.

Twilight levitated the letter over to her desk and finally rested herself on her bed, she let out a gasp of air and relaxed in her bed, and quickly drifted off to sleep.
About thirty minutes after Twilight settled to sleep, Tesla was bored, he didn't want to continue with the pulse, or anything else, and due to his sleeping habits, he was stuck like this, bored out of his mind. He got up from the chair he was sitting on and paced himself back and forth, thinking of something to do, until he finally came up with something,
"I guess I should finish off Applejack's machine, it'll save her extra time" He spoke to himself.
Tesla then made his way to the door that led him out of the basement and he quietly approached the upstairs and made his way towards the window beside the front door, he then exited out of the window, so he doesn't alert Twilight or Spike, and was hit with a cold gust of wind as soon as he left the tree home,
"Okay, let's get to the machine" Tesla said to himself.
He made it over to Sweet Apple Acres, he was pretty much trespassing on the Apple family's land, he sneaked into the barn, where the machine still was, he then went inside, placed his hoof against the half done machine, he then moved around the machine until he stopped and saw something that caught his eye, it was a small, wooden go-cart. Tesla went over to inspect the go-cart and it said something on it's side, it said,

At first glace, the cart looked terrible, one of the wheels had fallen off and the wood look corroded, but it actually wasn't. As soon as Tesla saw it, he shook his head in disappointment, and once again, another idea came to Tesla.
It was around six o'clock now, and Tesla had finally finished the apple slicing machine, and also completed something else, he upgraded the Cutie Mark Crusaders' go-cart and gave it an engine using spare scraps of metal that were meant for the larger machine, thinking to himself,
"What until the kids see their cart now"
He then sneaked out of the barn just as soon as Applejack woke up, he then made it back to Twilight's home through the window and back down into the basement, and then continued to develop his pulse, which would pretty much be his plan for the rest of today, or so it would seem...
