You asked for more screen time, now you have a chapter to yourself! Hot dog! ... I don't know why I just typed that. Shoot for the Stars: Chapter 30: A day in the life of: Lightning Streak Author: Burritoburger I walked down the street, having a particularly good day. I was on my way to the Carousel Boutique, I wanted to buy a ring. Hint, hint. Big plans, as well. I was planning on getting together with Stargazer and my other friends, and we were gonna plan something awesome. However, I needed to keep it a secret from D.I approached the Boutique, and knocked on the door. "Welcome to the Carousel Boutique, how may I help you?" Rarity asked after opening the door and putting on a fake smile. I could tell the mess her mane was, and it looked as if she didn't notice it. "You look really tired. Are you okay?" I asked. She sighed. "Unfortunately, no. I have been working for days trying to get these dresses done for the Grand Galloping Gala. I just have no idea how all these ponies got their hooves on tickets." She explained. Wow, didn't think the Gala was this close. "Anyways, I'm looking for a ring. You know, an engagement ring." I said. She perked up. "Ah! Who's the special somepony?" She asked. "Somepony you don't know." I replied. "Oh please, I'll know." She insisted. I sighed. "Alright. Her name is D." She frowned. "You're right, I haven't met her before. Anyways, come into my shop, I'm sure I can find something." She said, and I followed her inside. She showed me to a massive ring collection, and I tried to find one that was perfect. "What about that emerald one?" I asked. Don't judge me. "Yes, that will be 2000 bits." She said. I winced. I am broke. "Uh, I don't have that much money, is there any way I can make up for it?" I asked. She smiled. "Well, you could help me do some things to help me make the dresses that much easier to make..." She trailed off, thinking about what to do with me. I sighed. Why didn't I just ask Stargazer for money? I really need a job. "Could you possibly be a test for my dresses?" She asked. "What do you mean?" I asked. "Well, I'll make the dresses, and you try them on. Simple." She said. I groaned, and got up. "Fine." I said. About an hour later... I was trying on probably the strangest dress ever. There were two parts you had to put on. It even came with it's own hairstyle. I looked in the mirror. How do you like it, Thunder Cloud? I sat in humiliation as Rarity admired my look. Suddenly... *knock knock!* The door opened and Starlight, Stargazer's sister, walked in, with another pony. In my opinion, he looked like a douche. When they walked in, they started laughing, especially the red and blue one. After they were done laughing, Starlight spoke up. "Rarity, Frostfire here, would like a suit, please." Starlight said. "I already made one in advance. Here you are darling." Rarity said, and handed a suit to Starlight. "How many bits is that?" She asked. "300." Rarity replied. I could hear 'Frostfire' whisper something into Starlight's ear. She didn't seem pleased, but after a delicate kiss on the cheek, she smiled and whispered back to him, "Okay." She walked over to Rarity and gave her 300 bits. Frostfire came over towards me and whispered. Definitely a douche. "Hey, buddy. You should do something more valuable with your time, like learning how to get a life." A douche that I want to kill. Now. "Oh, I have a life. I don't rely on my marefriend to buy stuff for me." I shot back. He frowned. "I'll deal with you later, punk." He whispered back. "Excuse me Starlight? When was the last time you talked to Stargazer?" I asked. She shrugged. "I dunno. Yesterday?" She looked distracted. "Two days left." I said. "Oh, Lightning! You have helped enough, you can leave now." Rarity said. Finally. I took off the dress and fixed my hair. Frostfire laughed. "You still look pathetic." He added. I smirked, and charged my hoof with at least 1200 volts of lightning. It was clearly visible, slightly bouncing off my hoof. He looked a bit scared. "Looks can be deceiving." I replied, and discharged my hoof. I walked out of the shop, merrily walking along. I arrived at Stargazer's house and knocked on the door. No answer. Strange. I decided to head back to town, search for him there. When I arrived, there really wasn't much. I couldn't see him, and finally decided to ask some of the ponies walking around. "Do you know where Stargazer is?" I asked countless times, the answer usually being, 'I dunno' or 'I saw him over (insert place where Stargazer isn't here.)'. Finally, I saw him over in the distance, coming towards me. "Dude! Where have you been?" I asked. "About that, I was hanging out with a new friend, Vortex." He said. "Well, I need to tell you something!" I said. "Well, spit it out! I need to tell you something as well!" Stargazer said. "Well! I am proposing. Sorta." I simply said. Silence. "...And I want you to help me make it the best proposal scene ever." I finished. "Um... I think mine is more important." He said. "Pfft, yeah right." I replied. There is now way whatever he is going to say is more important than- "If we continue doing the things we've done for the past few weeks, we will be banished from Equestria, and two certain ponies of ours will be executed." He spat out quickly. "Who are the two?" I asked. He gulped. "Pineapple and D." He said. Just that one sentence filled me with more rage that I though was capable. I flew off as fast as I could, shooting through my house and grabbing my greatsword. Celestia is going to die. Now. I shot off towards Canterlot, a few ponies down below looking almost frightened as they could see how enraged I was. _________________________________________________________________________________________________ Heh. Good for you Thunder, your OC gets to beat the living hell out of Canterlot. Burritoburger, out.
