Epilogue

"And... done!" The door of Twilight's Library was replaced just as the sun set. Every pony cheered. It really was kind of the whole town of Ponyville to help Twilight fix up her home after its destruction.

Pinkie Pie bounced up to the alicorn, singing, "I've got a great idea, the best one that I've had! Since the library is all fixed up, and you're no longer sad... I propose a party, to put on just tonight! To celebrate our teamwork; since ev'rything is alright!" More cheers came.

Twilight stepped forward. "Thank you every pony. I really couldn't have fixed this in just a few days all on my own. And now, it is my honor to announce the reopening of... Mage's Library! A place for colts and fillies, mares and stallions alike to come and gather all the knowledge between the pages of a book!" The door swung open, and many ponies entered, either walking or galloping.

Spike nudged his friend. "Twi, I thought all of your books were ruined!"

"Not all of them," the princess clarified. "Also, Princess Luna found some of Gari's writings in that cave and gave me permission to publish them.

"A lot has happened in these couple days for her, hasn't it?"

Twilight hugged her little dragon. "Yes, Spike. But I think she's going to be just fine."

The alicorn was then draw from the moment when she heard a certain country pony shout from the inside of the library, "Hey, Twi! Ya comin'?"

"Yes!" Then pony and drake went inside together, as the first star of the night showed itself, twinkling brightly. It was joined by ten others, and a pony could almost make out a constellation of a young unicorn.

Thank you, Mother. For all you've done for all of us those centuries ago. I could never have found a way to repay you, ever...

"Gari?" a surprised deep purple Earth pony with baby blue eyes walked up to the unicorn. "Is that you?"

"N-Night Shade?" Gari breathed. He looked so much like her friend from long ago, but he was no longer a colt. He was a handsome full-grown stallion.

Shade wrapped his hooves around Gari. "You're here! Oh, I'm so glad! I missed you so much."

A tear fell from the beige mare's green eye. "I missed you, too."

Then both Night Shade and Gari entered into a bright light. Nine other voices cheered, "Gari!"

She was finally home, where she belonged. With her brothers and sisters. The Children of the Night.
