The Night After
“It certainly was rather beautiful sight, wasn't it?” a dark blue figure asked her lavender companion as they sat on the grass, warped in each others arms and wings.
“I guess it was.” the other figure giggled. “But I wasn't that into enjoying the scenery while the whole of Equestria was at stake... again.”
“And you did certainly a good job defending it again.” Princess Luna nuzzled Twilights cheek. “I don't think either me or Tia could be any prouder of you.”
“Well, maybe you could be wrong.” Twilight replied back, returning back to Luna's nuzzling who snorted amused.
The two of them were spending another night alone together at the fairest end of Canterlot. At the very edge of the city, where view for the whole Equestria was open to them. And from there Twilight could see the very few lights of Ponyville that told her that few of its residents were still up.
And it certainly has been one strange two days. Not just yesterday, only a week after her coronation, strange looking plants have emerged from the Everfree Forest and had taken over Ponyville while abducting Luna and Celestia. And then there was the Elements of Harmony she and her friends had to give up.
And that troubled her. “Luna,” Twilight asked quietly whilst looking at Luna. “Do you think we can defend Equestria without the Elements?” she seemed concerned.
Luna pondered Twilight's words. It was rather difficult answer since there were many different kinds of answers, both good and bad. And that gave her the honest answer she thought Twilight would deserve.
“Truth to be told Twilight, I'm not sure.” Luna honestly replied. “We've gotten used to their power that we, or at least I, can't really imagine a time without them.” Luna flinched inwardly when noticing Twilight's sad and worried look. But Luna on the other hand offered Twilight a brave smile.
“But this could be our chance of finding and figuring something out without the help of the Elements. So we aren't that dependant to them.” she continued. Turning her gaze back to the scenery. “And I have a great feeling that with you on our side, I think we might find that solution.”
Twilight blushed heavily at the comment. For some reason, it always made sort of embarrassed when everypony was praising her. And it was “worse” when it was Luna that was giving her the praises, especially with that smirk of hers, it certainly had the effect.
“It certainly has been one big adventure for us...” Twilight almost muttered after a moment of silence, wanting to change the subject slightly. Now she was burying her head onto Luna's shoulder. “And hopefully we don't need to anymore of that in any time soon.” she then chuckled.
“Knowing you and your friends, I highly doubt that.” Luna had laughed whereas Twilight took some distance between them and gave Luna an annoyed gaze.
“Well excuse me Princess.” Twilight said in mocking tone giving a playful pinch to Luna's shoulder.
“Oh don't give that look.” Luna smirked, taking her hand to Twilight's chin. “Should a good long kiss make it better?” Twilight's lips changed to a small smirk.
“Maybe a little.” Twilight said playfully
“Well, that's good to know...”
The distance between them was quickly closed as Twilight and Luna shared a long loving kiss while caressing each other’s face. The kiss was then brought to an end as two of them needed a moment to breath.
“Luna?” Twilight then spoke after couple breaths. “Can we stay here bit longer than usual?” she asked.
“I don't see why not.” Luna smiled leaning her head to Twilight's, as two of them just sat there, enjoying another night together alone, without any worry.
“No, no, no, NO! You are doing it all wrong!” voice suddenly yelled above them, making Twilight and Luna jump onto their hooves. “This should have been the part where you two would show your passionate love for one another!” a familiar, snake like figure barked above them. “And that means very little clothing!”
“DISCORD!?” both of them yelled from shock and anger.
“What are you doing here?!” Luna asked demandingly.
“Oh, why of course making a profit!” a cash register then appears, with the chime included.
“What?!” both of them exclaimed.
“Such loud mouths. You two really need to be carefully with that, 'Royal Voice' of yours.” Discord commented, while digging at his ear with his clawed hand.
“But back to my reason here.” the cash register then vanished in a blink, as did Discord. Only to appear in between the two them.
“Well you see: After the Twilight's amazing one mare-show back in Ponyville, I had the greatest idea to cash in on it!” suddenly many piles of bits fell down next to them, and Luna could swear she heard a certain Prince unicorn’s scream spread across Canterlot.
Then a small scroll also appeared, showing crying Twilight on it. This caused Twilight blush from anger and embarrassment.
“But unfortunately I wasn't able to capture the whole act.” Discord said disappointedly, his paw on his forehead as the pile and scroll disappeared.
“But then I remembered that there is something else the crowds of Equestria would love even more!” Discord then “jumped” warping his arms around Twilight and Luna. “What else could be even more graceful than a romantic story about a Princess!” neither of them liked the way Discord pronounced the word “princess”. “Or more like between two Princesses!” Discord exclaimed “excitedly” before vanishing again. And re-appearing, floating before them.
“Think about the attention and admiration you both would get!” Discord beamed while Luna and Twilight shared sour faces. “Everyone must LOVE a good love story between two Princess's.” and Discord “flashed” again. This time appearing next to Luna.
“And it certainly would boost your popularity my dear Luna.” Discord tapped Luna's shoulder. “And would no doubt make you much more loveable.” he snickered. “Since you don't exactly show that little mushy side of yours that often. Or is it just for your little “Twily” here alone.” the two mares were now glaring daggers at the Draconequus.
Discord once again then re-appeared before them. “Soo, what you girls say if we take the whole thing over again,” a film recorder then appeared and Discord was wearing his “Director” suit. “Since I came here little bit late.” the film started rolling.
“Oh don't mind me or the camera.” he waved his lion paw. The two were still giving him dirty looks. “Oh come on, why so serious?” he pouted. “This can't work if you don't show that you love one another!”
The two mares then looked at each other. “What do you say Twilight?” Luna then asked. “What do you say if we give Discord a little piece of our mind?” she asked. Her horn slowly began glowing. Twilight smirked, as her horn started to glow.
“Oh I LOVE the idea.” Twilight's eyes then were fixed on Discord, who had become bit nervous. “We could instead film a documentary about how many knots can you tie a Draconequus in.” and now the mentioned Draconequus had small forms of sweat around him.
“Now that sounds like something the citizen of Equestria would enjoy to see.” Luna said bit darkly, cracking her knuckles.
In a small *puff* the film recorder and the clothes disappeared, leaving extremely nervous Discord. “Oh look at that!” he looked at his claws wrist. “I think I hear Fluttershy calling me to her cottage! Gotta flash!”
And in a flash Discord disappeared. Leaving the two pleased alicorns to themselves. “Well, that certainly was something.” Luna commented.
“It was.” Twilight replied.
The two of them then turned to look at each others, taking their hands. “What you say, if we continue this a little bit longer?” Luna then suggested.
“I would love that.” Twilight smiled.
To which Luna replied with her own smile before giving Twilight a surprise kiss.
“And maybe do something this time.” she then added sultrily. Taking Twilight's face into her hands. The only reply Twilight gave Luna was same kind of smirk before kissing her for a very long time.
