	Derpy blinked once and flashed an evil grin at Maredusa, "Now you listen here and you listen real good, you have exactly 5 seconds to tell me where Henry is."  

Maredusa slithered, "I ssss-simply can't darling, I'm not like other gorgons I don't just turn them into stone, I torture them slowly and painfully until they die." 

Derpy said nothing at first, she growled, "Time take Carrot Top and go find Henry, I'll catch up in a bit." 

Time peeked at Derpy from the corner of his eye, "Derpy I don't want-" 

"GO NOW!" She barked.

Time stood there shocked and paralyzed by the sudden outburst. He took Carrot Top by the hoof and dragged her out of the woods, I've never knew she could...She just snapped...What?! A million thoughts rushed through Time's brain.  





Maredusa stared at Derpy's eyes but nothing worked, she still remained her normal self, she was shocked and confused, "How are you not into ss-stone?!" She shouted and demanded an explanation.

"There are few advantages of having wall-eyes." Derpy grinned, “Now Maredusa, usually I’m not for revenge and getting other ponies back, but you’re not exactly a pony and I’ll make an exception for you.” Derpy growled and lunched towards Maredusa, “Plus, no pony colt-naps my friend and gets away with it!” Maredusa didn’t see it coming. Before she could react she received a blow right to the side of her ugly monstrous face. Maredusa spat out to the side a mixture of saliva and blood. 

That was enough to set Maredusa off, after spitting she wiped her muzzle and grinned, “Sss-stupid pony! You think that’s enough to defeat me?! You’ve got another thing coming.” She turned and shrieked, the snakes on her hair pointed up and they pointed their fangs and shrilled a piercing scream, “Attack!” The snakes shrieked and flew from Maredusa’s hair towards Derpy, they all attacked one by one. Derpy hit the first one sending it back to its owner, the second one lunched forward Derpy turned and struck it on it's head knocking it out cold. The third slithered around her legs and wrapped her around; unable to get her front arms out she did the only thing she thought of... Chomp! The snake loosened up and shrieked falling to the ground, dropping Derpy.

Derpy regained herself and smiled at Maredusa's failed attacks, "Is that all you got?" 

Maredusa chuckled, then threw back her head and laughed at the now confused mare, "You think I would chicken out because you out-smarted some of my snakes. Muhahaha! How quaint, but this is just the tip of my iceberg." Maredusa laughed even more, "Come forth, Giant Mamba and teach this nuisance a lesson!" 

First there was silence, then a low rumble took forth, knocking Derpy over, the ground rumbled and the tree-tops shook violently. Derpy couldn't move, she didn't know what was happening, then was silence once again, just when she thought it was over it had just begun, out from the roaring pits of hell, ripped out of the ground a giant black snake, it's stretched 20 feet in length, its teeth were the size of a stallion, the green poison dripped from its razor-sharp teeth, each drop the size of a filly's head. Derpy's legs buckled, her stomach churned and her jaw dropped at the terrifying sight that stood before her. Then the snake-monster shrilled a deafening scream, Derpy's ears started ringing. The monster lunched forward, and there Derpy stood frozen, not able to move awaiting death. Derpy winced and waiting for the impact. Time came galloping in and grabbed Derpy moving her out of the way just in time (no pun intended) before the creature could devour her. 

Derpy snapped out of her state and looked at Time with tears in her eyes, "You saved me, but wait where's Carrot Top?!" 

"Of course I saved you, do you think I would lived with myself if something were to happen to you!?" Time caught his breath, "Carrot Top and I found Henry, Maredusa trapped him in a gooey confinement and Carrot is getting him out of his trap right now, as soon as we found him, I ran as fast as I could back to you. I felt the ground shake and a piercing scream, then I came running. But now we have to deal with this monster."
