It been three weeks since the Element Rangers return from the Power Rangers dimension and Twilight was switching between training, learning spells, and playing her flute she brought two weeks ago. Twilight was now training her moves so she had a better time against putties. Not to mention that Nightmare Moon was quiet the past three weeks. Twilight had give Spike a break today and he was out gem hunting with Rarity. She just stop to wipe some sweat off her when she head a knock. Placing the towel around her neck, she walk up stairs and to her front door. When she open it, she was met with a surprise.
"Mom? Dad?" She ask.
"Twilight? Who would thought the first place we check, you be here?" Mr. Sparkle said.
"Honey, why are you wearing a towel around your neck?" Mrs. Sparkle ask.
"I was training." Twilight answer without thinking.
"Training for what?" Her mom ask.
"Um...", Twilight said thinking quickly, "Do you remember the day that the Putty Ponies attack?"
They nod.
"Well, I'm training to make sure noting happens like before." Twilight said.
"Never thought my little sister would do something like that." Said another voice.
Twilight look behind her parents to see a white stallion with a blue and light blue streaks mane and tail. He had a shield with a six-pointed star like her.
"Shining Armor!" Twilight shouted and hug him.
"Whoa! Twily! You really are all sweaty." Shining said.
Twilight got off him and wipe more sweat off her head.
"Yeah, with switching between Training, learn spells and playing a flute can make you that way." Twilight said leaning them inside.
"Playing a Flute?" Her family ask.
"Yeah, I decide to learn a little music to help pass the time." Twilight said placing the towel on the table.
She then turn to her family who was looking a picture of her friends. She walk up to them and smile.
"Those are my friends.", She said taking the picture in her magic, "This is Fluttershy, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash."
"Five friends?", Shining ask, "Didn't know you could make that much."
Twilight giggle and put it back.
"You know at first I was unsure about meeting them.", Twilight told them, "But now, I glad to."
"We are proud of you honey." Mrs. Sparkle said hugging her daughter.
"So, care to show us around your new home?" Mr. Sparkle ask.
"Sure! And this time, let hope we don't have the same as last time." Twilight said.
"So the Green Ranger family has visit her this time." Nightmare Moon said watching her.
"Should we try to get them again?" Gilda ask.
"No, we only need the Thunder coin and we need a monster that will do so." Nightmare Moon said.
"Trixie did over heard that Twilight Sparkle say she has been training since we return." Trixie said.
"Then let give her a little test." Nightmare Moon said with a smile.
Twilight show her parents and brother around. Some of the ponies wave at Twilight and she wave back.
"Well, ponies around here treat you well." Mr. Sparkle said.
"Yeah, Hey we are close to Sugarcube Corner. Maybe you can met some of my friends." Twilight said before noticing where they were at.
Before they got close, they saw ponies ran pass them. Twilight turn and saw Putty Ponies heading right for them.
"Great, not again." She groan and ready herself.
Shining was surprise to see Twilight take a defense stand as the strange grey ponies came up to them. Twilight quickly block an attack before knocking the Putty down. She then duck under another one and trip it. She jump back up and threw a kick knocking a putty in the air and it fell to the ground. Twilight then threw a roundhouse kick that knock down three putties before she was grab from behind. Twilight act by elbowing the Putty before grabbing it hoof and flip it over her. Two Putties got luckily and kick her away, Unknowing that she drop her Thunder Coin.
Shining saw the coin and pick it up. He could feel some powerful magic coming from the coin and was wonder why his sister had it when he spotted some of the Putties head straight for him! Shining duck and threw a beam that knock it back. He heard one putty try to get him from behind and buck it before it got close. Twilight just punch another Putty away before seeing her brother being attack by some of them. She quickly ran up and jump kick some away. Twilight then proceed to take down the rest. After they were down, the Putties disappear.
"What were those things?" Shining ask.
"Putty Ponies, I haven't seen them for three weeks." Twilight answer.
"Hey, Twilight where did you find this coin?" Shining then ask holding it out to her.
"My Thunder Coin? It must have drop when the Putties knock me down." Twilight said taking it back.
"Thunder Coin?" Mr. and Mrs. Sparkles ask.
"Yeah, it has a thunderbolt on it and it allows be to morp-I mean it gives me luck." Twilight said, almost giving away her ranger form.
Her family look at her. They could almost sworn they heard Twilight almost say morph. Twilight place the coin away and turn back to them.
"I'll tell you about the coin later, let go met up with the rest of my friends." She said not wanting to talk about the coin right now.
"Ok, Twily. Let met your friends." Shining said, deciding to wait to ask about the magic he felt from the coin.
Back on the Moon, Nightmare Moon saw how well Twilight fought against the putties.
"Hm, it appears being in that dimension really make her stronger. Even that Stallion was able to handle a few of them." Nightmare Moon said.
"My queen, the monster is ready and soon the Green Rangers Power will be yours again." Gilda said seeing the monster.
The Monster was unicorn but it not like any unicorn you seen before, It was the size of Nightmare Moon and had no pulps and no cutie mark. It was as black as the night sky and it mane and tail was just as black. It even had sharp teeth.
"Ah, Pitch Black! Good you see you have been remade." Nightmare Moon said.
"So, who my target?" He ask in a deep voice.
"A unicorn name Twilight Sparkle. She holds a power that belongs to me. Get it back." Nightmare Moon said.
"Very well. It will be done." He said before disappearing.
"Soon the power will be mine again and the Elements will fall! HAHAHAHAHA!" Nightmare Moon laugh thinking she was going to win this time.
Twilight and her family step in Sugarcube Corner and look around. Soon Twilight spotted her friends, minus Rarity who was still gem hunting, sitting at their normal table. Twilight took them over and call out to them.
"Hey, girls!" She said.
"Hey Twi! Looks like you brought some company." Applejack said seeing her family.
"Yeah, this is my mom, dad, and big brother Shining Armor." Twilight said.
"Shining Armor? If Rarity was here, she would faint." Rainbow said picturing it.
Twilight roll her eyes. She too can picture it. Then her mother spoke up.
"So are you going to tell us who is who again?" She ask.
"Alright, this is Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, AppleJack, and the one that not here is Rarity." Twilight said.
The rangers welcome them and they sat down to talk about what happens when there not an attack. It went on for while, each of the mares telling Twilight's parents what they do. Twilight had lot of fun with her family and friends. But that change when a explosion reach their ears.
"What was that?" Mrs. Sparkle ask.
"There a giant green dragon attack Ponyville!" One pony said.
"You don't think that evil Green Ranger is back?" Another ask.
Twilight was there in no time. She was highly shock on what she saw she couldn't stop herself.
"Dragonzord?!" She said.
All ponies turn to her and she blush.
"I know about that it because I seen it before and the Green Ranger has use it before and I heard it call it name." She quickly said.
Shining step up and look. Though it was his first time seeing it, he could tell something was wrong.
Rainbow and the others nods and quickly sneak out, with Fluttershy call Rarity about what going on.
Twilight notices her friends leaving and was about to follow when her mother spoke up.
"Twilight? Where are you going?" She ask.
"Oh! I just making sure everypony get to safety, I mean I'm well familiar with the way Ponyville has been attack and this is the first attack in weeks." Twilight said.
"You sure about that Twilight? I am the Captain of the guards, I can help you." Shining said.
"Don't worry, I'll be fine." Twilight said and walk out and ran up to her friends.
"Any idea why the Dragonzord is attacking? We haven't seen Lighting Dust in a long time." Rainbow ask.
"No clue but we might as well stop it." Twilight said.
"So no more Darling.", Rarity spoke up as she reach her friends., "I came as quickly as I could once Fluttershy told me what going on."
"Ok girls we had our break and now it time for action, IT MORPHIN' TIME!!!" Rainbow said.
"GENEROSITY!"
"LAUGHTER!"
"HONESTY!"
"KINDNESS!"
"LOYALTY!"
"THUNDER!"
Once Morph, the five Element Rangers rise their hooves ready to call their Zords.
"WE NEED DINOZORD POWER NOW!!!"
Once their Zords came, they jump in and form the Element Megazord. The Dragonzord turn and attack the Element Megazord. It spin around hitting the Megazord by it tail but the Element Megazord recover and land a punch. The Dragonzord back away then finger a few missiles at the Element Megazord.
"Twilight, it your zord! Stop him!" Rainbow said as she and the other were knock around for a bit.
"Right!" Twilight said a play her Thunder Dragger but noting happen.
"What?" Twilight ask and play it again.
This time a lake started to boil as another Dragonzord appear and stomp it way to Ponyville. Everypony turn in surprise to see two Dragonzords in the same battle.
"Wait, two Dragonzords? We haven't seen that since we went to the Power Rangers dimension." Pinkie said just as confuse.
Twilight just look at them. The Dragonzord that she call turn to her and let a low roar as if it was trying to talk to Twilight. She then saw her dragger glow. She rise it and heard the Dragonzord low roar again. Twilight wasn't sure but it sound like it was telling her to play the Dragger. She rise to her mask again and play.
The Dragonzord stomp up to the another Dragonzords and slash it a few time and they watch as it turn into a black unicorn.
"GAH! Why you! You broke my spell!" Pitch Black said angrily.
Everypony look in surprise but Twilight snap out of it.
"You tell Nightmare Moon to not impersonate my Dragonzord! He the real one and noting can replace him." Twilight shouted to him then jump in her Zord.
"Heh, no matter once you two are done, I'll take your power Green Element Ranger." Pitch Black said firing a blast.
The Rangers were force back but stood tall. The Element Megazord went right up to him and land a few blows before the Dragonzord hit him with it tail. Pitch Black stood and laugh.
"You Rangers are stupid. You don't by drawing your out, we can easy attack the Ponyville!" He laugh.
"WHAT?!" The Rangers shouted and look down.
He was right, there were Putty Ponies attack some bystanders.
"Twilight, you go down and stop them. You are a great risky then us. Remember he after your power and we can't let that happen." Rainbow told her.
Twilight didn't what to leave her friends but hear the Dragonzord roar again. Twilight could almost hear the Dragonzord telling her to go. She was confuse but nods anyway. She jump out and started to fight off the Putties. The Element Megazord and the Dragonzord stood ready to fight more.
Twilight ran up and knock some Putties away from a small family. She turn to block and counter another putty. She caught another and held it down then turn to the family.
"Get out of here!" She said before kicking the putty away.
The family nods and runs. Twilight ran to another pony in trouble. She kick away the putty and saw that the pony was in trouble was her brother. Shining saw the Green Ranger taking out the putties, He step to her and smile.
"You're the Green Element Ranger, right?" He ask.
"Yes, can you get some of these ponies to safely? There too many bystanders and I don't know if my follow Rangers can keep that Monster away for long." Twilight said.
Shining rise a eyebrow. He could almost sworn that the Green Ranger sound like his sister but nods anyways. As soon as he left Twilight sign. That was close, she didn't think about speaking to her brother but she had too. She look around and saw no more Putties, which was odd to her. She turn to see both the Megazord and Dragonzord look around, but Pitch Black was gone. Twilight look around as well until she felt something was behind her. She turn, ready to fight but stop when she saw the Putties holding her Family.
What? Again? Twilight ask in thought.
"So Green Ranger how you like my little trap?", Pitch Black ask, "Never thought this would happen."
"Trust me, I seen this before. Trixie try it. It back-fire on her last time." Twilight said ready to fight again.
"Heh, heh, so you think. I got a different plan. Give me your Thunder Coin and I'll let them go." Pitch Black said.
What? But Twily has the coin. Shining thought.
"Yeah, she needs a new hobby.", Twilight whisper to herself, "Nightmare Moon made a mistake of give this power to a pegasus and it came to mine hooves. She needs to give up on it. The power of thunder will help the Element Rangers as long as I chose to."
"Heh, heh, you don't get it. That coin was made by evil power." He said.
"WHAT?!" Twilight and her Family shouted in shock.
"Opps! I said to much. When I'll take these unicorns until you give me the Thunder Coin. Ta, ta." He said before disappearing.
Twilight try to reach them but knew it was too late. Soon the other Rangers ran up and look around.
"Twilight, did you get ponies to safely?" Rainbow ask.
"I did but that Unicorn took my parents and Brother." Twilight said.
"What?! We better got to the castle." Rarity said.
The Rest nods and teleport to Canerlot Castle.
In a cave, The Sparkles and Shining Armor awaken to see that they were in a cage. The black unicorn was stand in front of them talking to a back Alicorn.
"I slip about the Thunder Coin a little. She might ask Celestia about it but even if she does there noting she can do about." He said.
"I see, well I see they are awake." The Black Alicorn said.
Shining then knew who it was.
"Your Nightmare Moon." He said ready to defend his parents.
"I see you know me. That make it easier to see who follows me." Nightmare Moon said.
"I follow Princess Celestia. I'm the Captain of the Guards. You're no ruler." Shining said.
Nightmare Moon just smile. She turn away and spoke again.
"I had something stolen from me and I want it back. And Twilight Sparkle has it." She said.
"Stolen? Why would Twilight steal from you and what did she steal?" Mrs. Sparkle could stop herself from asking.
"You seen it already, the Thunder Coin and the Green Ranger has it as well." Nightmare Moon said.
That confuse them a lot. How can both Twilight and the Green Ranger have the Thunder Coin? Twilight told them that the Thunder Coin was her lucky Coin.
"Well, I guess it time to let you know something. Twilight and the Green Ranger are the same." Nightmare Moon said.
"Wait, your saying that Twilight is the Green Ranger that save us before?" Mr. Sparkle ask not believing it.
"I take you still don't believe me. Well here something to think about. Have you even see Twilight and the Green Ranger at the same time?" Nightmare Moon told them then walk away.
"Well, It time for me to get the rangers out of hiding." Pitch Black said and walk away as well.
The Rangers appear in their Command Center and remove their helmets thinking it was not a safe time to un-morph. Celestia saw them and knew what the problem was.
"I saw from the Viewing Globe and still looking. It looks like Nightmare Moon was more careful on hiding them." Celestia said.
"No doubt after Twilight powers." Rainbow said rolling her eyes.
"There was also a monster that copy the Dragonzord. Nightmare Moon is started to go back to her own Monsters." Twilight said.
"Yes, Nightmare Moon is up to something and getting the Thunder Coin is so far the only plan we know." Celestia said before the alarms went off.
They turn to the viewing globe and saw the Dragonzord Battle mode attack Ponyville.
"What? But the zords are on stand by." Fluttershy said.
"It got to be the same monster, It did it before." Rainbow said.
"There now time to waste, we better stop it." Applejack said.
"Twilight, you better stay here and help Celestia." Rarity said.
"But, Girls..." Twilight started to say but Rainbow cut her off.
"Nightmare Moon has your parents and fighting the monster won't find them quicker. You better help Celestia." She said.
Twilight nods and set her helmet down and look at her friends.
"Good Luck, girls." She said.
Rainbow nods and said, "BACK TO ACTION!!!"
The Rangers appear in their Element Megazord and face the fake Dragon Battlezord. They charge at it and made a blow that knock it away.
"Alright cut the act! We know your a fake!" AppleJack said.
Pitch Black drop the look and laugh.
"Where your Green Ranger? To afraid to face me?" He ask.
"She busy with something else. You got use to deal with." Rainbow said and the Megazord charge.
Element Megazord Swing it sword and Pitch Black turn into the Element Megazord and block the attack with it own sword.
"What a matter? Afraid to fight us in your real form?" Rainbow ask.
"Heh, No. I just what to have some fun that all!" Pitch Black laugh before pushing their sword in the air and slash them.
Applejack and Fluttershy act quickly to have the Megazord regain it balance and ready for more of the fight. The two charge again and clash their swords.
Back at the Command Center, Twilight couldn't stop watching the fight. She really wanted join but she also had to find her family. Spike notices and walk up to her.
"Hey, They'll be fine, remember they been at this longer then you have." Spike said.
Twilight just walk away. She knew Spike was trying to cheer her up but it wasn't working. She knew they be at this longer then she have, but she has her family to worry about too. She turn back to Celestia and walk near her. She sign again for the third time after her friends left to fight.
Celestia knew Twilight wanted to help and her parents were in trouble. She didn't want to admit but she was having trouble finding them. Twilight look over everything. She knew they were missing something. Something they over look.
"If Pitch Black is a unicorn then he got to leave a trail behind some where." Twilight said thinking.
"Maybe if we look for an energy trail?" Spike ask.
"Look for an energy trail...", Twilight repeated before smiling happily, "THAT IT! Spike your a genius!"
Twilight hug the baby dragon and started to use her magic to search for a energy trail. She soon found it and smile.
"I know where they are at! They're in a cave 20 miles to the north of Canterlot!" She said and grab her helmet.
"Good luck Twilight, and be careful." Celestia told her.
"Right, hang on mom and dad. You too B.B.B.F.F. BACK TO ACTION!" Twilight said then shouted.
Twilight teleported near the cave and look around. No signs of Putties but knew not to let her guard down. She went in the cave and look around. She saw a cage and ran up to it. To her surprise it had her family!
"Hey! You three ok?" Twilight ask getting their attention.
"Huh? The Green Ranger?" Mr. Sparkle ask.
"Yeah, hang on I'll let you out in second." Twilight said and drew her Thunder Dragger.
Twilight slash the lock into two and open the gate. The Sparkles walk out and they headed outside. Where they were met with a surprise, there in front of them was Nightmare Moon.
"Hah! At last we met Green Element Ranger." She said.
"Nightmare Moon." Twilight said ready to defend her family.
"Do you believe me now? There no way the Green Ranger would know you're here unless Twilight knew." Nightmare Moon ask the Sparkles.
Twilight saw what Nightmare Moon was trying to do, expose who she will was and lose her power so Nightmare Moon can have it back.
"Nightmare Moon is trying to tell us that you and Twilight are the same pony." Shining Armor told her.
Twilight knew that but she wasn't going to break the rule. She drew her Thunder Dragger and turn back to her family.
"I need you to get away from here, I'll hold Nightmare Moon as long as I can." She said.
"You're kidding? You're kidding right?" Nightmare Moon ask once she heard what was said.
"No, If you want my powers so badly then come and take it." Twilight told her.
Nightmare Moon laugh and lower her head so her horn was pointing at her.
"Then lets get to it then. Once I beat you, the Thunder Coin will be mine again." She said.
"Not going to happen." Twilight said back.
The two then charge at each other and Twilight try a high spin kick that Nightmare Moon duck under. Twilight then try throwing another kick that Nightmare Moon block and hoof punch Twilight back. Twilight regain her balance and stood ready to fight again. Then she heard something. It was small but sounded like a roar. Twilight try to listen and soon heard what sound like 'duck!' Twilight did and watch as Nightmare Moon threw another hoof punch that was aiming for her head. Then then heard another faint roar and she uppercut Nightmare Moon on the chin. Twilight was as Nightmare took a few feet backwards and rub her chin. Then another faint roar appear in her mind. Twilight quickly rush up to Nightmare Moon and swing her Thunder Dragger that knock Nightmare Moon back even more. Nightmare Moon stood up and fire a beam Twilight who raise her Thunder Dragger to her mask and started to play the tune that power her Thunder Shield armor. The beam was reflect back and Nightmare Moon was blast into a nearby cliff.
"GRRRRR! This can not be! How are you using the Thunder Coin against me?" Nightmare Moon ask once she stood up.
"As long as I bare the Thunder Coin, I can use the power for however I see fit and I'll use the coin to help protect Harmony." Twilight told her.
Nightmare Moon growl, she didn't get it. The Thunder Coin runs on a different power then the Elements and yet the barer can chose what it wants to do with it? She didn't believe it. She stood up and look at Twilight.
"When Pitch Black mention that the Thunder Coin runs on evil power, he met that it runs on Chaos. There no way you can control it!" She said.
"It all base on what the bare wants to do, Nightmare Moon." Another voice said and they all turn in surprise to see Princess Celestia flying down to the battlefield.
"Ah! Celestia, what a surprise. This is the second time we came face-to-face." Nightmare Moon smile.
Celestia ignore Nightmare Moon and turn to Twilight.
"Element Ranger Green, You must return to the others, they can hold out for much longer." She said.
"I understand, what about the Unicorn family I came to find?" Twilight said then ask.
"I'll get them to safely, you get to your teammates." Celestia told her.
"Right. Be careful Princess." Twilight said and teleported away.
"So it me and you now Celestia." Nightmare Moon said.
"No, just you." Celestia smile and teleported herself and Twilight family back to the Command Center leaving Nightmare Moon surprise and confusion on what just happen.
Twilight teleport near the battlefield to see two Element Megazords fighting each other. Twilight didn't know which was which but she got to do something. She raise her Thunder Dragger and summon the Dragonzord. Once it arrive in Ponyville, She jump in her zord and contact her friends.
"Girls, I'm here." She said.
"Twilight?", Rainbow voice came through, "I thought you were looking for your family?"
"Already found them. Celestia got it cover, she told me to come back and help you but I can't tell which one is the real Element Megazord." Twilight told them.
Then the Dragonzord roar again and Twilight could hear a small voice in her head. She close her eyes and listen to it. She could then heard something tell her to attack the Megazord in the right. Twilight opens her eyes and spin the Dragonzord around, making the tail hit the Element Megazord on the right that was knock away and turn back into Pitch Black.
"What?!" He shouted.
"Twilight, who did you know that was the fake?" Applejack ask.
"The Dragonzord told me." Twilight answer.
"What?" The other ask confusion.
"Let's just go with it for now, we got a monster to stop." Twilight said.
"Right." Rainbow said.
"DRAGON-MEGAZORD COMBINE!" The Rangers shouted.
Soon the Dragon-Megazord stood and face Pitch Black.
"What is this?! But there no way for the Dragonzord can combine with your lifeless zords." Pitch Black said in surprise.
"Like I told Nightmare Moon, as long as I bare the Thunder Coin, I'll use to protect Harmony!" Twilight said as the Dragon-Megazord took into the sky.
"DRAGON-MEGAZORD, FINAL BLAST! ALL WEAPONS IN FIRING POSITION!"
The Rangers then got all their zords' weapons into firing position, aimed right at Pitch Black
"POWER OF HARMONY," the Rangers shouted in unison, "FINAL BLAST!"
All of the Megazord's weapons then rained down upon Pitch Black. Then the Dragon-Megazord fly down ready to strike with it swords.
"FINAL SLASH!" The rangers shouted.
The Dragon-Megazord pulled both of its blades back in preparation for the attack. Just before the Dragon-Megazord hit Pitch Black, the Rangers swung both blades in a scissors formation, hitting Pitch Black directly.
"What?! But the Thunder Coin was never created for good!" Pitch Black shouted and erupted in a glorious explosion.
"My Little Ponies, victory is ours." Twilight said.
The Ranger appear back in the Command Center and was about to talk their helmets off when the saw Twilight family walk up to them.
"Um, what are you doing here?" Rainbow ask in confusion.
"We what to see what Nightmare Moon say is true." Mr. Sparkle said.
"Are you really Twilight, Element Ranger Green?" Mrs. Sparkle ask.
"We just want the truth." Shining Armor added.
"It ok rangers, they have agree that your identities will remain secret." Celestia said.
The six turn to each other and nods. One-by-one they remove their helmets and show who they really where to Twilight's family.
"What? It not just Twilight that a ranger but her friends too?" Mr. Sparkle ask in surprise.
"Yeah Dad, all six of us are the Element Pony Rangers." Twilight answer to insure them that they weren't seeing things.
"Wow! Now I see how you can defend yourself. Looks like I won't be watching over you any more." Shining Armor said surprise.
"Now that your know the Rangers identities, you must never tell anypony. Nightmare Moon already knows but the Rangers need their powers to fight her." Celestia said.
"We understand. Twilight why didn't you tell us?" Mrs. Sparkle said then ask.
"It part of the Ranger code. If any pony knew who we were that will put their lives in danger." Twilight told them.
"We see, will we are proud of you Twilight. Not only on making friends but keeping Equestria save as well." Mr. Sparkle said and hug his daughter. The rest join in and Twilight smile. Their were some questions that she like to ask Celestia but she can wait. Right now, she has a family to be with before going back to Ponyville.
