As they returned to Woodburrow, some of the Skylanders were there and saw the orb that belonged to the Ancient Tree Spirit land on the statue. They saw the Chieftess and Tessa approach as the Chieftess said,

"Thanks to the Skylanders, the Cloudbreak Islands are safe once again, and the Eruption Ceremony can commence." They was an applause, until the Chieftess continued,

"But, this is not the only cause for joy, it is time for a new generation to lead us. Please welcome our brave Tessa as your new chieftess. Let the Celebration begin!"

Among the Skylanders in the crowd was Spike, Twilight, Scratch, Pop Fizz, Rarity, Cynder, Spyro and Flash Sentry. They cheered as Tessa was announced as the new chieftess. They even laughed when Kaos said,

"Release me, you fools! Or face the unending doom wrath of Kaos!!!" He swallowed a flower and began to choke on it as the others laughed. As he spit it out, he said,

"I hate flowers."

Spike replied, "That's because you are not a pony."

Flash Sentry pointed, "Check it out!" The orbs that had the Elementals formed around each other and journeyed to Mt. Cloudbreak. Flynn said to the others,

"Wowsers, this is gonna be awesome! You know what this calls for."

Spyro replied, "Let me a guess."

Flynn replied, "Special Volcano Boom." Just then a thunderous flash of Dark Magic interrupted the Celebration. The Skylanders got into their battle stance as a holographic version of Kaos' Mom appeared from the dark clouds. She said,

"Congratulations, Skylanders. Once again, you have foiled one of my son's ridiculously overblown and poorly thought out plans."

Flynn said to Kaos, "Wow, your Mom's kinda harsh, huh." 

Kaos replied, "Ya Think?"

Kaos' Mom continued, "But this is far from over!" Kaos disappeared and Tessa disappeared as well, Flynn realized what has happened and said,

"Hey, You bring her back, right now!!"

Kaos' Mom replied, "I don't think so. If you want her, you're going to have to come and get her!" She vanished as Spyro said,

"She took Tessa, but we have to get her back."

Twilight said, "This may be a trap, that she wants us to go after her."

Spike spoke, "I can't imagine what could happen if we don't get her."

Scratch spoke with the former Chieftess, "We are going to Kaos' Fortress to get Tessa back."

The Chieftess replied, "Please do. Tessa has always been like a daughter to me."

Spike asked, "So, which two should go to Kaos' Fortress first before we get summoned to the Portal." 

In the Portal Chamber, Celestia and Luna were trying to choose on which Skylanders to summon to the Portal. The Alicorns soon felt a surge of magic from the Portal of Power when Master Eon said,

"You two are progressing far in your Portal Mastery. But you have to choose two Skylanders to venture to Kaos' Fortress before you want to swap any other Skylanders."

That's when the word, swap came to Celestia's Mind and said, 

"Rattle Charge, you are up to Kaos' Fortress."

Rattle Shake and Magna Charge said, "Magna Shake and Rattle Charge, Go!!" Rattle Charge formed and said,

"Buen, I am ready." He jumped into the Portal.

Princess Luna said, "Boom Jet, you're going in." Boom Jet felt uneasy until Princess Luna kissed his cheek, that's when his turbine went to full overdrive as he said,

"BOMBS AWAY!" He jumped into the Portal as the others reappeared from it. Twilight said,

"Boom Jet looked determined when he appeared."

Celestia looked at the blushing Luna as she replied, "Some things need a little determination."

Scratch realized, "So, that's how it went."

 When they arrived at Kaos' Fortress in Flynn's fully repaired airship, they discovered that Kaos' Fortress is more than a fortress. Boom Jet looked at the layout of the fortress and said,

"Its a factory for toxic goo and a sheep shearing plant. I bet this is what Kaos planned before using the Petrified Darkness."

Sharpfin said to Boom Jet, "If we go in guns blazing, we're in for a rude surprise. You and Rattle Charge should find a way to sneak into the fortress and knock out those Anti-Aircraft Guns."

Flynn spoke, "Because we don't want those Sheep Shooters to shoot at us."

Boom Jet and Rattle Charge were dropped off at the entrance to the fortress as they met up with a special agent, codenamed: Softpaw. He helped the two Swap Force Skylanders get through security by disguising themselves as sheep in order to get through the sheep shearing devices. Once they made their way through security with clever Sheep disguises, they made their way passed their defenses with a stealth transport disguised as a common surfboard. Once they reached the first AA Gun, they found Softpaw and he said,

"Psst. Hey Skylanders, I've rigged this Spark Lock to explode! Completing it would destroy this gun turret.....and about three square blocks!"

Boom Jet and Rattle Charge worked their magic on the Trigger Mechanism for the bomb. After they joined Shock and Bolt together, the door exploded as well as the tower as it started to blow. Softpaw warned,

"You better get moving, Skylanders. The Tower's about to blow!"

Rattle Charge replied, "No need to tell us that, Senor."

Boom Jet pointed, "I see a surfboard, we have to get out of here!"

Boom Jet and Rattle Charge escaped as the AA Tower exploded. They were beginning to progress to the second AA Tower until Rattle Charge decided,

"Pull me out!" Rattle Charge disappeared and an enchilada appeared followed by a pink EQG followed grabbing the delicious treat. Boom Jet chuckled,

"EQG Pinkie Pie and the Enchiladas, you can't keep them away from each other."

EQG Pinkie Pie noticed, "Its not just me who likes enchiladas. Legendary Trigger Happy has his share in Enchiladas."

Boom Jet chuckled again, "Another reason why you two can't be away from enchiladas."

The Swap Force Skylander and the EQG Skylander made it to the next AA Tower and destroyed it and after evading security so many times, they made it to the last Sheep Shooter, but they found that they were in for the fight of their life. They found an ambush waiting for them and decided to use their powers to take down the enemies before going after the AA Gun. Boom Jet used his turbine to fire missiles at his enemies while EQG Pinkie Pie pulled out a Party Cannon and blow a K-Bot to pieces. They came across a Magic Spell Punk that turned the enemies invisible, but the two Skylanders saw right through them and defeated the invisible enemies. After dealing with the enemies, the Gate to the Spark Lock Bomb was opened. After arming the Spark Lock Bomb, they moved to the surfboard and were at the gate to the main castle. EQG Pinkie Pie was swapped up for Spyro. 

 As the two Skylanders made their way through the gates to the main throne room to rescue Tessa, they found it kind of off odd that they haven't came across any more Greebles, Trolls or Cyclopses, they got the feeling that Kaos' Mom was baiting them. Until they entered the throne room and saw Kaos' Mom as she said,

"Hello Dearies, I've been expecting you."

Spyro said, "Let Tessa go."

Kaos' Mom replied, "Oh, don't worry about your friend. My pet will keep her entertained while we have our little chat." They looked at the big Greeble attacking Tessa as she evaded its attacks. Kaos' Mom got up,

"Now I'm not one to usually fight Kaos' battles for him. I'm not a big meddler after all. But really, failing to take over Skylands after so many tries? I just had to see what the problem was. And now I see its because of two Pony Portal Masters all along"

Two holographic versions of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna emerged right beside the Skylanders, Celestia said,

"We caught your attention then."

Luna spoke, "Why did you want to know what the problem was?"

Kaos' Mom said to the Princesses, "Oh, You two didn't really think that Kaos was the strongest Portal Master on Malefor's side, did you?" She laughed, "You two might've defeated my son, but I AM a true Dark Portal Master and MY Power knows no equal!" She went back to her throne, "First, I'll take care of you two four-legged nuisances and claim all of Skylands for myself. Sorry, Kaos dear, you had your chance." She sat down, "Now, Prepare yourself for a battle you will NEVER FORGET!!" She used her powers and pushed Spyro and Boom Jet out of the Throne Room. The holographic Celestia and Luna helped them up as a Portal of Power that was carrying Kaos' Mom appeared. The Dark Portal Master said,

"Now we shall see what you two ponies have learned from Eon!" She called, "Raise the cages and unleash the beasts!"

The many Evilized creatures that they faced throughout their adventure had begun to attack the Skylanders. Boom Jet and Mega Ram Spyro began to use their attacks to evade and retaliate at each Evilized Creature. Boom Jet called in an airstrike on some of the Evilized Creatures, reverting half of them to normal. After taking out the Evilized Creatures, Kaos' Mom said,

"You think you have won, this is only the beginning!" She disappeared from her Portal of Power. Princess Luna realized,

"She's hiding somewhere." That's when a holographic Master Eon appeared and said,

"She is hiding within the Portal of Power, but it would require an empty portal to find her."

Princess Celestia found out what he was saying and said, "Skylanders, Return!" The Skylanders returned to Equestria as the Royal Sisters found Kaos' Mom, she saw the two Alicorns and said in shock,

"How did you two find me in here? Its not possible!"

Princess Celestia calmly said, "Anything is possible for Portal Masters." Kaos' Mom jumped back to her castle as Princess Luna called Spyro and Boom Jet back to battle. As the two Skylanders returned to battle, two green crystals appeared as Kaos' Mom said,

"Enough of this, feel the power of the Darkness!" She fired her Dark Magic at the Skylanders until the holographic Luna said, "Use the Crystals to direct her magic back at her."

Boom Jet and Spyro used her advice, used the crystals and directed the Dark Magic back at Kaos' Mom. She got hit and said,

"NO!! Very clever, but I am done toying with you here!" The door opened behind her as the Skylanders moved onward. They went to the next room with the holographic Royal Sisters at their side. Kaos' Mom spoke,

"I'm surprised that you made it this far, but it ends here! Open the gates and release my pets!"

The gates opened and more Evilized Creatures emerged from the gates. These Evilized Creatures were assisted by a Life Spell Punk, who heals the Evilized Creatures and gives the Skylanders a hard time. Mega Ram Spyro said, 

"Let's take out the Life Spell Punk! If we don't we'll be fighting these guys all day!"

Kaos' Mom was looking at the carnage that the Skylanders were unleashing in her own castle,

"You can't be doing this. You're no match for me!"

The Skylanders continued their carnage until they defeated all of the Evilized minions. Kaos' Mom said before disappearing,

"Looks like I'm out of defenders. Time for a strategic retreat!" She disappeared as Princess Luna said,

"Skylanders, Return!" The Royal Sisters found Kaos' Mom again as she said,

"No, not again, Away from me!" She jumped back to battle as the Royal Sisters summoned Boom Jet and Spike to battle. Kaos' Mom said as she fired her Dark Magic,

"No holding back! Bow down before, the Darkness of Malefor's powers!"

Spike and Boom Jet used the green Crystals to redirect the Dark Magic back at Kaos' Mom. She got hit and said,

"Ouch! That Smarts!" She fled to the other room as she said, "You won't get away with this sort of behavior."

As the Skylanders entered the next room, Kaos' Mom spoke directly to the Royal Sisters,

"It looks like I might've misjudged my poor Kaos. You two ponies are far more troublesome than I ever imagined. But even powerful goddesses will fall before my dark power eventually."

The holographic Celestia said, "Separated from each other, we fall." 

The holographic Luna finished, "But when we are united, We fight as one and with the teamwork and friendship between the Skylanders, we will prevail!"

The Skylanders evaded the traps as they entered the throne room and they see the big greeble called, 'Bubba Greebs' still trying to smash Tessa until he caught the sight of the Skylanders and began throwing the smaller Greebles at them. Kaos' Mom's voice echoed through the chamber,

"Now we shall see how much of a hero you really are. Minions, Attack the Skylanders with everything you have, No Mercy!"

Princess Celestia's voice now echoed in the chamber, "Skylanders, you have come so far and not because of our current battle, but ever since you first arrived in Equestria."

Princess Luna's voice echoed in the chamber, "We have shown you the power of friendship and how you help us out in the many events that transpired in Equestria."

Princess Celestia finished, "You have come so far, Skylanders. We know that you can beat her."

Spike realized this and began channeling his elemental powers to his core and unleashed a barrage of Fire, Earth, Electricity and Ice at the Greebles, while Boom Jet used his Turbine and his bomb more frequently and even hurled dynamite at Bubba Greebs to knock him off his post. It would leave the big Greeble vulnerable to their attacks. After knocking Bubba Greebs off his post again and attacking him again. Kaos' Mom echoed through the chamber as the big Greeble jumped back to his post,

"No, You won't defeat me in my own castle."

Spike and Boom Jet knocked Bubba Greebs off his post a final time and defeated him. But Kaos' Mom appeared, 

"How are you doing this? I am the most powerful!" The Skylanders approached her, but she disappeared, "Stay back!" Princess Celestia's voice echoed,

"Skylanders, Return!"

The Royal Sisters found Kaos' Mom and she said, "Impossible, you can't do this to me!" She jumped back into the battle as she angrily says,

"Enough, I will end this now. Behold the unparalleled power of The DARKNESS!!" She fired her Dark Magic at the two Skylanders as they avoided it....but without a crystal they can't fight back. That's when Tessa threw her dagger at a nearby mirror's chains and cut the chains, allowing the mirror to fall to the throne as the Skylanders heard Celestia's voice,

"The mirror...direct her Dark Magic towards the mirror."

Spike and Boom Jet lured the Dark Portal Master's magic which redirected it back at her. The Dark Magic pulled her into the mirror as she screamed,

"NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" There was a huge flash of light and the mirror had Kaos' Mom trapped inside. She said in shock,

"What! What have you done? I can't get out!"

Boom Jet said, "In that case....this is a dialogue I found in a book, 'Mirror, Mirror on the wall, Who are the most powerful Portal Masters of them all?"

Kaos' Mom asked, "What is that supposed to mean?!"

Boom Jet replied, "Sheesh, Lady, it was a joke!" 

 A few minutes later, Flynn and Tessa arrived to see both Spike and Boom Jet and surprisingly, the Royal Sisters of Equestria as well. Tessa said,

"Wow, the Skylanders sure fixed her. Ka-Blam!"

Flynn replied, "Yeah, she's not getting out of there anytime soon."

Kaos' Mom said, "Kaos, Kaos, Help Mother would you dear?"

Princess Celestia remembered about who they were really after, "I've thought we would find Kaos, but we only find his mother."

Princess Luna replied, "Something is not right."

Flynn spoke, "But where is the little twerp anyway?"

Their question was interrupted when the Fortress' Portal of Power came to life and Kaos' head appeared. He laughed as he said,

"Hello, stupids. While you have been foolishly wasting time on her royal motherness, I've been filling the entire volcano with Petrified Darkness, turning it into the Super Ultimate Evilizer of Ultimate Evil DOOM!!"

Spike stepped forward, "You have fire in your hands, Kaos. Those crystals should've been destroyed!"

Kaos asked, "Destroy the only thing capable enough to spread Darkness throughout Skylands?" He finished, "NEVER!!"

Kaos continued, "Now its only a matter of time before the Darkness erupts over all of Skylands!"

Kaos' Mom said from the mirror, "Kaos, you put your own selfish desires ahead of your own mother? Oh, you really are my son, I'm so proud."

Kaos replied, "Yes, yes, thank you. Enjoy your mirror imprisonment of Oblivion, Mother." He turned to the two Skylanders and the Royal Sisters, "And don't you worry, Skylosers and to you two 'Princesses', I'll be sure to come back and destroy you when I'm all powerful."

Boom Jet stepped forward, "Not if we get to you, first!" 

Kaos said, "I would like to see you try." After Kaos cut off, the Royal Sisters returned to Equestria to choose any other Skylanders to take on Kaos in this ultimate showdown. While the others returned to Woodburrow.
