	Derpy gasped and expected the worst, “What happened?” 

“He said he was going to be back in 10 minutes!” Carrot Top exclaimed.

“Well, that doesn’t seem so bad.” Time shrugged and looked at Derpy.

“He said that an hour ago!” Carrot Top paced back and forth, “I tried not thinking about it right away! I said maybe he was distracted or something…but now I’m really scared and I don’t want anything to happen to him.” 

“Carrot Top I need you to calm down, alright?” Derpy motioned her waving her hoof up and down.

Carrot Top took a deep breath, “I’m sorry Derpy, it’s just I’m scared I don’t know what to do.” 

Derpy smiled, “It’s alright Carrot, and I know you like him,” Derpy winked at Carrot, “Trust me I would be freaking out as well.”

“More actually.” Time added.

Derpy said through her teeth, “Like I was saying, I think I have a solution to your problem.”Carrot Top listened attentively. 



“I don't know Derpy, what if it doesn’t work?” 

“Don’t worry I’m going to test it with this muffin.” Derpy set the blueberry muffin on the table, grabbed the ray carefully and looked away. “Here goes nothing!” Derpy pulled the trigger and a powerful force sent her flying back a few feet.  Zap!  

“Derpy!” Time ran rushing to her side, “You alright?!”  

Derpy snickered, then giggled and eventually burst into tears laughing out loud, “Oh my sweet Celestia! That sure was fun!” 

Time sighed, “Don’t scare me like that Derpy. You almost gave me a heart attack.” Time bent over to help Derpy get up. 

“Don’t worry Time I’m fine, promise.” Derpy nuzzled Time’s cheek.

Time put his hoof on her chin and kissed her, “Okay but be careful alright?” 

“I will.” 

Derpy walked over to the machine, “Carrot Top? Did it work?” There was a scream not like the other it was Carrot Top's scream.

There was static and then there was a high pitched noise in the background. Derpy typed furiously and shouted, "Carrot Top? What happened? Are you there?!" Derpy sighed and let out a tear, "Time I have to go." 

"No!" Time stomped his hoof.

"I have to make sure she's alright!" Derpy shouted back and walked towards the ray, "She's my best friend." 

Time grabbed her shoulder and turned her around, "No, I won't let you! I'm not going to lose you...not again!" Time dropped his hoof, "Not...again." 

Derpy stopped walking, turned around with tears in her eyes and looked at Time, "Don't worry Time you don't have to, I promise I'll be careful." 

Time watched as Derpy head back to the ray and silently whisper, "Please no." 

She grabbed the ray, winced, and pulled the trigger. Wasting no time, Time quickly sat up and jumped in the blast sending both Derpy and him in the past.





Carrot Top screamed as she saw the tiny rodent scurrying across the cave floor. The mouse looked up at the terrified pony, snickered, grab a piece of the blueberry muffin and scurry away.

With a blinding flash of light both Derpy and Time were right beside Carrot Top. Derpy immediately rushed to Carrot Top and began turning her around, carrying her and inspecting her, "Are you okay!?" Derpy massaged Carrot Top's front arm, "Where does it hurt?!" 

Carrot Top puzzled looked at Time who couldn't help but chuckle at the poor sight, Carrot Top finally spoke up, "I'm fine nothing happened just I saw a mouse." 

Derpy sighed, "Is that why you screamed?" Derpy chuckled nervously and looked at Time, "Well I guess that is pretty scary huh?" 

Time huffed and muttered a few words under his breath.

"What was that?" Derpy shot a glance at Time that made him gulp. 

"Nothing, love, I just said should we go looking for Henry?" Time chuckled nervously while Derpy gave him a stare. 

"Sure thing!" Derpy hopped off out the cave while the others followed her. 



  

"Derpy you must be careful! There's a Maredusa lose around here." Carrot Top turned her head left and right making sure there wasn't any danger and walked closer towards Time hiding behind him and occasionally bumping into him, causing him to trip. 

"Ugh! Carrot Top can you please stop tripping- gah!" Time huffed and fell forwards on the ground.

Derpy giggled at her colt-friend face planting on the ground, "Oh Carrot Top I'm not scared of a over exposed ugly snake headed mare."

Carrot Top screamed and pointed, "You might want to rethink your position on that!" Derpy turned in the direction of her hoof and met face to face with Maredusa.
