The Tale Of Teal

Prologue

I am finally old enough to move out of my parents place in Canterlot, and I think I might want to move to a small place called Ponyville. It sounds like a nice place, fun too. Tons of stuff happens over there, like the time Discord was there making it rain chocolate milk and causing chaos. Most ponies would say that's dangerous, but who cares! Its chocolate rain. Who doesn't want that?! I bought a one way ticket to Ponyville and went off to my soon to be home.

Its been two hours so far, the train is supposed to take 6 hours to get there, so I still got along way to go. I listened to the newest DJ PON-3 album like fifty times, and its getting pretty old. Not having anything better to do, I got up and walked around the train. As I got up I heard my stomach growl.

"Man, I haven't eaten all day." I muttered to myself. I walked up to the closest pony who seemed to know what he was doing and asked, "Um, would you happen to know where I could get some food?"

"Yeah, the next two carts that way, He said as he pointed to the door behind me.

"Thanks," I replied as I turned around and started heading to the food cart. As I was heading there I didn't see that many other ponies, and the ones I saw were listening to music or reading. None of them sat together.

"Guess I wasn't the only one," I muttered as I continued to walk forward. I finally arrived the the cart and saw that there was three tables on one side, and a counter on the other. I walked up to the girl at the cash register and ask her, "Do you have anything to eat?"

"Yes, She replied, we have a couple of different salads, and a few different drinks."

"What kind of salads do you have, and do you have water? I asked,

"We have a Garden Salad, lettuce, cheese, the essentials. Then we have the Griffin Salad, which has all of the ingredients that the Garden has, but with grilled chicken, and yes, we do have water. She said

"I'll take the Garden Salad and a water, please." I said, not wanting anything to do with the meat.

"Okay, that will be 7 bits." She replied.

Luckily, my parents gave me 300 bits, for the ticket, food, and some sort of shelter, the ticket was only 15 bits, so I still had a lot and could afford a good meal. "Here ya go," I said as I gave her the bits.

"Your order will be read in 2-7 minutes," She said as she walked into the kitchen on the other side on the counter.

I took a seat in the middle table and waited for my food. Two and a quarter hours down, three and three quarters to go...
