Nightmare in PonyVille

Chapter 1 Waking Up

(Jeremy Llama) I'm needing an artist if anypony out there feels like helping with that then thanks!

"Where am I?...I feel... lost....and alone....where are my friends?..." Everything I say echos... "I don't like this..." All I see is darkness with dark grey fog. I close my eyes in hope of everything changing before me like when I was a filly and frightened.

I open my eyes and everything is there. My house, library, and Spike. Was I dreaming? I thought to myself. I must have been but it was far too realistic. I felt cold until I opened my eyes it changed to heat and drowsiness. I looked at my hooves thinking something would be different to them but there wasn't anything it was just my purple hooves. I slowly got up and tried to wake Spike up but he wouldn't wake up. "Typical old spike." I chuckle quietly. I headed to my door when I noticed a book was on the floor near the door. "Odd how did this get here?" I said. I went over to pick it up. When I did, I turned around to put it back on it's shelf. When I did I saw something that looked like a black figure. I couldn't tell what pony it was but it flashed for a second.

I was stunned but I think it was just my imagination...I think? It's still early in the morning and I did have a nightmare but I can't remember what all had happened in it. I put the book up and headed outside. Ponies were out and laughing, having fun, talking the usual. I remembered that there were some potions I needed Zecora to make. So I headed off to the Everfree Forest. On my way there I was stopped by Pinkie Pie. "Hey where ya headin' off too?" She asked. I'm not really in the mood to talk today but her company brings me at ease.

"I'm heading to Zecora's. I asked for some potions a few days ago that I need." I said

"What kind of potions?" She asked

"I would tell you but I forgot what they were." I chuckled

"Oh ok. It's been kinda lonely around since the other ponies had left." Pinkie Pie had said.

Apple Jack had left to go to the Equestria Rodeo Competition, Rarity had left to go to the Great Galloping Galla, and Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash had left to see the Wonder Bolts. So all that was left was me and Pinkie Pie.

She followed me asking me questions and being Pinkie Pie as usual, until I reached the Everfree Forest, she'd left me to go in alone but she's possibly scared of what's in there. "Finally silence." I said very quietly in case she was still with me, although I knew she wasn't. As I kept going I noticed sounds and started getting frozen. Slowly I started to stop. I see a mysterious black figure.

It's not a pony nor any kinda animal I've ever seen.

"Goooo Baaack!"

I could barely hear it...it's...frightening everything around it is slowly starting to look morphed but I can still barely see it and now black smoke darker than night is appearing out of no where making it even harder to see it. Whispers of frightening levels come from no where but there's nopony else around here is it the black figure?.

I finally gained the courage to mutter out
"Wh-....Who are you..." I say extremely shakily.
It ran off. A blur following along with the smoke and whispers as well. I was frozen until I didn't see it anymore. Now I'm shaky and collapse. What was that thing? I slowly get the strength to get up and start running to Zecora's.

Next thing that happens is that I can't remember anything that had just happened.

I saw her house and knocked on the door. No response.....
I wait a few more seconds and try again. No response.....
I try to open the door and it opens easily. It's not locked? I open the door all the way and I see Zecora. Relieved to see another living soul around I come in quickly but she doesn't seem to notice.

"Hello Zecora. Do you have the potions I was needing done yet?" I asked trying to not look shaky.

"Aah hello there Twilight Sparkles. Yes I do have the potions you were needing, but they require lots of motion or else they will cause a great deal of a commotion."

"Ok thanks. Also have you noticed anything strange lately such as nightmares and then forgetting what happens in them, or forgetting things that happen not to long ago. Maybe some black figures?" I asked.

"No I can't say I have my dear. Although I will tell you if I do though. Why do you ask?" Zecora said.

"No it's nothing and ok." I gathered the potions and headed back to Ponyville...When I heard sounds of whispers and steps on grass coming at me at a fast pace.
