//------------------------------// // Prolouge: Farewell to Hyrule // Story: The Chronicles of Virtue: The Coming of Link // by Chironicus Claymaster //------------------------------// It was an average day to most of the people in Castle Town, Hyrule. For Link, The Hero of Time, it was the best day of his life, maybe a little too good for his taste. His recent defeat of Ganon he had managed to do without the help of the legendary Triforce, and, naturally, Zelda had the idea that they could use the wish foretold in the legends to end the Golden Trio Curse once and for all. However, Link had the feeling that this was somehow going to go wrong, nothing in Hyrule stayed peaceful for long. Just about the time he was up and ready, Navi, his "helpful" fairy came into the room. "Hey Link," Navi said, "I see you're ready to go, you're not usually up this early, is something wrong?" "No, Navi, I'm fine," he said, " I just have this feeling that something bad is going to happen." "Doesn't it always," Navi replied. They then made their way to the underground chamber where the Triforce was being kept. Upon arrival, there it was, the life-size, congruent, golden, and sentient triangle. Zelda then smirked as she commented, "Did you sleep in again, Link, cause you are late." She always was the type to joke around, but she could be very serious when she wanted to be. "So, lets get done with this before something happens like it always does," Zelda said. No sooner did the words come from her mouth than Link's old buddy, Dark Link, appeared and held a strange book over head. Link tried to lunge, but suddenly a black void appeared beneath the three of them, and they descended into a spiraling vortex of rainbows. The last thing Link saw before he passed out was Dark Link standing at the top of the hole as he waved his hand as if to say goodbye, for good.
