The drinks piled up and Applejack slowly got drunker and drunker.It was a big party like their was most weekends, but, unlike most weekends it was not hosted by Pinkie Pie but by her polar oppersit Fluttershy. Pinkie sat opposit to AJ drinking a vodka orange and talking about the things that she did at the bakery mainly about how Fluttershy had asked if she could throw a party on the Saturday. AJ only semi-conciously listend to the pink earth pony for she had other things on her mind mainly the host of the party. 

Pinkie noticed something was wrong because Applejack useually spoke during theire convosations asking for more details or just commenting on the subject of the discussian but she just sat their thinking occasionally taking a sip of her cider. "um, AJ are you okay?" asked pinkie in an unusually concerned voice compared to her normal giggly tongue. 

" Yeah, ahm fahn pinkie just got allot on mah mind thats all." responded apple jack snapping out of her trance and blinking a few times to adjust to the semi darkness and flashing strobe lights prodused by several unicorns in the corners of the room totaly ignored by the several dozen ravers in the room everypony at varying levels of drunkness. 

"okey doki loki." chirped pinkie pie not noticing the blush on applejacks cheeks or at least pretending not to notice at least. 

Fluttershy glided over to the table whare AJ and pinkie talking about last years grand galloping gala and reminicing about the grand fiasco with great humor. " Hey guys how you enjoying the party?" whisperd Fluttershy barely audiable ovr the loud dance music eminating from a mixing table occupied by an allabaster unicorn with an elecric blue mane with cyan highlights she wore purple shades and nodded to her masterful beat.

"AMAZEBALLS, this party is amazeballs!" squeed the intoxicated pink party pony bouncing up and down and squeezing the life out of Fluttershy who tenderly hugged her back with a nervous smile. 

" Ahm also enjoying your party sugar cube." agreed Applejack more sanely than her pink associate. she gave Fluttershy a smile and began blushing uncontrollably. Fluttershy was obviously more observant than pinkie because she saw that the usually orange Applejack was beat red. 

"um Applejack are you okay?" asked Fluttershy still barely audiable over the music she put a pale yellow wing on Applejack's shoulder eliciting even more blushing her. AJ being the element of honesty could not lie to her dearest friend, yet she didn't want to reveal her feelings at the risk of upsetting and worrying her further it was awkward enough when she had told her friends that she like mares especially around rainbow dash who assumed that she was 'perving' on her 24/7.

"um, pinkie could you leave us for a moment please?" whisperd AJ pinkie nodded and bounded over to the white dj kissed her on the lips and began playing their trademark number 1 from the wedding 'Love is in bloom'. Fluttershy sat next to Applejack and looked at her with a pleasent smile.

" What did you want to talk about AJ?" asked the shy pegasus her smile putting AJ at ease. 

Applejack gulped and looked down at the floor slightly ashamed "Fer almost a year now since we battled discord ah have had a a a an infatuation with you at first ah ignored it but... Fluttershy ah love you will you be my special somepony?" confessed AJ looking even further away from her friend "Ahm sorry!" she whisperd to Fluttershy, AJ got up to leave when she herd a faint whisper "what was it saying" thought AJ standing still a glimmer of hope sparking in her heart.  

"I LOVE YOU TO AJ" Fluttershy yelled most of the drunken ravers looked towards them most were shocked the others aplauded it only lasted a few seconds but the party resumed and the yellow and orange ponies spent the rest of the evening locked in each others embrace of hooves and lips kissing and conversing all through the night.
