//------------------------------// // and silence. // Story: Uilai and the Ponies at the center of the Galaxy // by ForceUser //------------------------------// Sometimes a story or idea doesn't pan out as the writer had hoped. Writing himself into a corner for example, or receiving overwhelmingly negative feedback or not receiving any feedback at all. Some writers can continue writing regardless while others need that feedback to know if an idea has merit and is worth pursuing. I'm one of the latter. It's hard to write a story for me where there is near enough no feedback whatsoever, negative or positive other than 'down vote'. If I knew what I did wrong, or right I could work on fixing it or build on it to make a story better. If the idea is flawed at its core even that can be fixed but without even a single word it's hard to fix what to my eyes looks perfectly fine. While the audience here is not the same audience one would aim for if you wrote a book or story to publish in a printed book they are the audience this and my other stories are written for. The only people that can increase the quality of the stories on offer are the people who read, rate and comment. Or write.
