The Tale of a Faunus Huntsman (A RWBY crossover story)

The Huntsman

My name is Alexander, if anyone finds this make sure that Professor Ozpin of Beacon Academy receives this, I am currently undercover within the White Fang. For those that do not know, the White Fang is a Faunus insurgent group. Many people think the White Fang fights for equality for the Faunus, but they have other motives and I have been sent to find them.

"Another lunch, another bounty listing." I sigh and get some pizza from the buffet table and sit down next to a bear faunus and a cat faunus, "Hey guys, either of you know who is gonna be on the bounty listings today?"

"My bet is more executives." The bear faunus smiles.

"Oh, please Sammy. I heard that a team from Beacon Academy is gonna be listed." The Cat eats some sushi.

At the mention of Beacon students being listed on the bounty board I soon grow afraid, and thoughts races though my head "Who are these students? Should I tell the school?" I sigh and flick my forked tongue, now I was a snake faunus, snake faunuses are very rare in the sense that there are only about 2,500 known snake faunus in the world. Snake faunus have the cat like eyes that venomous snakes have, we have forked tongues, and the actual ears are actually just for blending in, our real ears are small holes just behind the ears. As far as I knew I was the only snake faunus in the White Fang, because even within the faunus we are outcasts because during the faunus' war with the humans, the snake faunus stayed neutral as we had been hunted to near extinction and we still had to grow our numbers.

"Hey the bounties are being posted!" Cat points out before we rushes the board and I manged to grab a copy of each bounty. "hmmmmm." I say reviewing the bounties, among the usual executives of Dust companies, were 4 girls who were first year students at Beacon, Ruby Rose, Blake Belladonna, Yang Xiao Long, and Weiss Schinee. The bounty said that they were placed on the board for interfering with White Fang activities, and that Blake was former White Fang. I then decided to leave my pizza and find a safe place where i could transmit the information. I walk out of the mess hall and into the forest compound that is White Fang HQ, the place was crawling with patrols, so I place my hood on my head and hold my quarter staff so that I could attain better balance and I jump into the trees. After several minutes of scouting I see a door into a part of the compound that the general soldiers weren't allowed. I manged to get into the building and I looked around and in the center was a big swirling pit full of dust, but I decide that it was best to first transmit the information, so I pulled out my scroll and decided to call Headmaster Ozpin.

"Ah, Alexander I was wondering when you might call." He smiles and sips his coffee as the video feed starts

"Yes, yes. Transmitting latest bounty listings, be advised we have Beacon students on this list." I said as I began the data transfer.

"Hmm, I expected they would be added after that incident in Vale. Anything else to report?"

"Just this." I move the scroll so that Ozpin could see the pit, "Hmm, I will have to get Professor Goodwich to review this."

"Roger." I say as the door on the other end of the room bursts open showering the room in light.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here, a little snake looking around where he should not be." A rather snooty but familiar voice says.

"Who are you?!"

"Oh, you don't know me little serpent?" The source of the voice enters the light revealing itself to be crime boss Roman Torchwick

"Torchwick!" I sneer

"Ah, so you do know about me." He smiles

"How could I not, you've been holding up dust shops all across the territory." I get out my staff and prepare for combat by putting away my scroll and cutting the connection to Ozpin.

"Well, what are you waiting for?! Get him!" Torchwick's henchmen and also White Fang members storm into the room.

"lets rock." I smile and twist my staff so that it splits into two separate sticks that are better suited for close combat. Several of the henchmen charge me but are quickly knocked back by my twin weapon attacks

"If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself." Roman sighs and lifts his cane up and fires a shot at me, which I easily dodge

"You missed me." I mock

"No I didn't." He smirks as the round bounces against the wall to my rear and rebounds into my back sending my plummeting into the swirling vortex of dust, but I manged to hang onto the rim of the pit.

"Goodbye little snake." Torchwick smiles and stomps on my fingers causing me to fall into the pit.

----0----

I was falling into the never ending vortex of dust for what seemed like an eternity, but even though there was a total lack of space that was being occupied by air, I some how did not die of suffocation. I soon felt solid ground on my feet and the tornado of dust dissipated. I was puzzled as the forest around me did not look like any forest I was familiar with, so I took out my scroll only to find that my video chat with Ozpin had drained the batteries, but my thoughts on how to recharge the battery were soon broken by the unmistakeable roar of an Ursa, one of the creatures Grimm that I had sworn to hunt. I rush towards the source of the roar once I had found the two parts of my staff and reattached them. When I neared the source I heard a second sound, the sound of a girl shrieking in terror. I hastened my pace and I soon came across a scene that I never in my wildest dreams had imaged, an Alpha Ursa roaring at a yellow and pink winged pony.

"Creature Grimm! Prepare to meet your maker!" I scream and charge towards the beast with my staff at the ready. Luckily the beast was distracted long enough for the pony to run away. The Ursa begins to swing its massive claws at me, which I easily dodged. I then responded with some strikes with my staff to the creatures face, which it did not appreciate. The Ursa begins to charge after me, this is when I run up a tree, push off from it, and thrust my staff into the back of the beast, turning it into black dust that was soon scattered by the wind.

Soon the pony came running out of the forest and tackled me 'You killed it you monster!"

"Uh, what?" I reply, flicking my tongue in confusion
