Chapter 8


" Oh, hey there Princess..." Rainbow spoke sheepishly. " Hello my Loyal subject. Rainbow back up until she met the scaly tail of the drake behind her. He spoke up. " Oh hello Mother." She didn't respond but just continued her omniscient glare. " I take it your the one who tried to burn me and my friends?" She remained silent. Twilight approached her. " Princess im so glad your here these tw-" She was cut short by a woof risen by her face. " Quiet my faithfulstudent, i am very well aware of the events that have occurred this night." Twilight gave her a look of worry. " But princess did you try and kill them?" She continued her gaze never looking away. " Yes, and believe me I would of continued." Everypony drew a collective gasp, minus Rainbow who was now starting to sweat and Millennium who returned his gaze. " But then he spoke words familiar to me. Preaching about second chances, and staying by friends when he could of easily left those two to burn. When he did that i recalled my fire, I was prepared to enter myself and speak with him." Rainbow lowered herself. " But then your little friend here announced the twos actual plans." Rainbow was now practically cowering behind her partner. Millennium floated nearly inches from the sun goddesses face. " And what are you going to do now? Try and turn me to stone like you did my father? Or are you just going to stand there looking dumb?" He backed away from her while the two continued their stares. Slowly Celestia lowered her gaze from him and adjusted down to the cowering blue pegasus below. " Where's all that confidence now? Run into some big trouble and your cowering like the like your yellow friend always is." Everpony stood in shock. " 'cuese me Princess?" The apple pony spoke. " Since when do you talk down to us? Let'alone anypony?" The princesses gaze lowered and went to Applejack. " Please excuse my tone, you three." She motions to the door. " Leave. I wish to speak to these two alone." The three nodded and left leaving Rainbow, Millennium and the two hypnotized ponies alone with the alicorn.

The door magically slammed as they left the library, the thud echoing through the silent building. Mother and son sat in silence staring at eachother, tension climbing, well for Rainbow anyway. " ENOUGH!" Her yell broke their concentration. " Just what in Equestria are you going to do?! Just stand there and stare at him?!" At that moment the princesses horn burst to life creating a magic box around the rainbow pony. Muffled grunts could be heard from the inside "MGHFFFF MGDFFA!" The princess smiled at her handy work as her gaze fell back to her son. " Now that we wont have any interruptions, I need to ask you something." Seriousness fell from her face and was replaced with grief. " Why?" The drakes expression changed to confusion. " W-what?" A small tear formed in the corner of her eye. " Why....Why did you leave with him?" His look went from confusion to anger. " Leave?! I didn't have a choice in the matter! The moment I was able to do anything on my own Father took me away! He said you were going to kill me! Kill both of us! YOU TRIED TO KILL ME!" All forms of self control were lost at this point, his heavy breathing loud enough for everypony to hear. " HE WHAT!" Her voice carrying more power than a royal Canterlot shout. "HE DARE TAKE MY CHILD AND LIE TO HIM!" Her horn glowed for a brief moment and with a brief flash a statue appeared. "....Father." Breathless words flowed from his lips. " COME OUT YOU COWARD!" Her horn flared again shattering the stone leaving behind a confused snake figure. It slowly rose to the air and spoke in cold and desolate voice. " Hello Celestia." He turned his head. " Son." The princess was shaking with rage now. " WHAT DID YOU TELL HIM!" He just snickered and ignored her as he turned to his son. " So, hows life son?" All of their kind carried signs of old age, but Discord was ancient. His eyes weren't filled with wisdom like you'd expect with age, no, instead his eyes beamed with madness. " No one in the talking mood eh? I have plenty to say to you son. It's been a long time since I last saw you...." His voice trailed off as he approached the enraged alicorn. " So Tia, seems like your still dead set on hunting down the boy?" He glances over his shoulder. " Seems like you've got him right were you want him 'eh? Hahaha" Steam was visibly coming from her nostrils now, eyes glowing red with sheer uncontrollable rage. " WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY SON." The ancient beast cowered at the immense volume of her voice as he raised his hands defensively. " Hey Hey, Im not the bad guy here" A grin crept accost his face. " After all you are the one who's trying to kill him." Through all that has been going on a constant banging sound had been coming from Rainbows cage, but now in the silence it had stopped. The drake lifted an eyebrow inquisitively. " Say whats in there?" A snap of his claw and the multicolored mare fell to the ground in a heap. " Oh, well if it isn't my favorite thrall." The pony struggled to her hooves. " Wh-what the.... Where...Am I?" Millennium spoke. " Mrs Rainbow? Are you ok?" The pony shot back. " WOW! DISCOR- wait why are there...two of you?"

Everypony minus Discord drew a collective gasp. " Mrs Rainbow? It's me? Millennium?" She stood there in confusion.  " Listen bud I don't know who you are but, Celestia? Why are you here? AND WHY IS DISCORD NOT A STATUE!" Celestia's glare returned to Discord. " WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER!" He snickered. " Oh Tia, do you really think my influence was actually cut off in that stony prison? I've been having fun with you from there for nearly 1,000 years." Celestias face was blank not sure of what to make of the information she had just received. " You, You've been controlling her? That favor... You were going to set yourself free with her!" He smiled again. " Oh such a clever one arnt you? And just a Millenia short. So if you'll excuse me....." He mad his way to the massive hole in the wall. " STOP!" He turned to face his son a few feet in front of him, wielding a claw full of magic pointed right at his head. " Why did you rescue me?" A short look of worry ran over his fathers face. " Wow wow there son. Lets not be so hasty. Remember, Daddy rescued you from crazy mommy?" He moved forward pushing him into a wall. " Why?" His voice carried nothing but sternness. " Well, you see, I am getting rather old. *Cough* And well.... I needed a new body to move to." His son stood in horror. " You, You..... Monster." His face began to fill with tears. " AND YOU! DEAR MOTHER? WHAT EXCUSE COULD YOU HAVE FOR TRYING TO KILL ME?!" Tears were now freely coming down his face. " I-I." Her words stammered, she was holding back complete emotional breakdown. " I-I didn't have a c-choice... I couldn't stop him... Nopony could... So the only choice I had was to make sure he couldn't be reborn through you..." She began crying as the last word left her mouth. " Mother..." His arms fell as he moved forward into a tight embrace. The two shared a voice. " I'm sorry." The two stood there with all of their onlookers. Rainbow was now teary eyed, and the two zombified ponies stood and groaned. Discord, just stood there wearing a scowl. " Oh foo fum, are you two done making up yet? Because if you are Id like to leave sometime soon." The princess dramatically moved her head up. Her normally gravity defying mane was now limp covering her face. " You... You MONSTER!" Her mane parted like an ocean revealing her glowing white eyes. She stepped forward, floor cracking as she walked. " You have done nothing but destroy everyone's life. I feel like Its time somepony repaid the favor." Her sound echoed through the room like she was everywhere at once. " Now what does that mean my dea-" A small narrow beam shot from her horn landing directly in the middle of his chest. " Now what was that? Your attempt at-" As he spoke his final words a black wormhole opened right inside of him dragging him to wherever time and space deemed fit. Everypony stood in silence until..." WOW what just happened? WOW whys there a hole in the wall! OH Hey Fluttershy! Princess! Wait. HEY PRINCESS." The party pony was bouncing around the room now freed from Discords twisted magic. " Son, Im sorry. Im so so so very sorry for what ive had to put you through. I need your forgiveness. plea-" He sentence was cut short with another tight hug. " I forgive you."
