Lessons in Love

Chapter 1 New assignment
It was a bright day in Canterlot and the day seemed to be going well for all of Equestria as everyone from the Crystal Empire all the way to Las Pegasus was still celebrating and wondering what kind of future Equestria would have after the coronation of a new princess. Princess Celestia was sitting on the throne going over royal papers which she sometimes had to do. Her sister Luna usually slept during the day since her job as a princess only usually had to be done at night.
“A lot of change has come in the one month since the coronation of my most faithful student Twilight Sparkle now known as Princess Twilight Sparkle.”, Celestia thought to herself.
“I still have to remind myself of that since I still remember the little filly that I helped train and became like a younger sister and a relief from the loneliness after my beloved biological sister I was forced to banish was gone.", she thought to herself.
"How time flew and how much she has grown. I am so proud of her.”, Celestia thought to herself.
“It is time to give her new lessons to help her know how all kinds of relationships work.”, she thought to herself
“Socializing with others can help her form these kinds of relationships.”, she thought to herself.
“These lessons can be used in situations that require knowing that knowledge with all of Equestria and foreign nations.", she finished that thought to herself.
“She has already understood a lot about friendship and familial relationships.”, she thought to herself.
She thought to herself, “I think it is time to give her a new assignment to learn how love works and for her to guide others to the one pony they are meant to be with, like a soul mate.”
“I will send for her to come to Canterlot soon.”, she decided.
“There is a lot to teach her about the art of guiding these kinds of relationships before I send her on this new assignment.", she thought to herself.
" I will send a letter to Twilight as soon as possible.”, Celestia decided.

Meanwhile, It was the same day in Ponyville as Twilight Sparkle was going to do some studying on Equestrian court meetings, foreign relations, and the duties of Equestrian royalty. In the one month since her coronation, Princess Celestia and Princess Cadence has filled in all they know about these things. She still felt that she ought to do more reading on the subject. She was still not used to being a princess. In fact, she would not let others address her as such because she felt that it made her seem to have a lot of power. The truth in fact she hasn’t taken any royal duties and has only recently begun her training as a princess. This is what she knew would happen before she can take these duties.
She also only just got used to having wings, yet she still cannot fly all that well. She needed to talk to Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy about coping with wings and learning how to fly from them both. She realized that a mixture between Fluttershy’s ability to take the art of flying slow and Rainbow Dash’s ability to fly fast can be used in many different situations.
So she thought to herself, “I need to find the balance between these two ponies way of flying and how to use it in certain situations.”
She would figure out all of that in due time.
Although, her friends and family were very supportive of her, she still had some doubts on whether or not she would make a good princess and be a guide to the people that she helped protect before she became a princess. Many thought of her as a female pony hero. She didn’t think that she should be called that since on those four times that she either saved Equestria or helped save Equestria. She was just trying to do what she thought was the right thing to do.
“Those facts shouldn’t qualify me as a pony hero like Starswirl the Bearded or Clover the Clever and it certainly shouldn’t make people think I am deserving of being a princess of all Equestria.”, Twilight thought to herself.
Spike came in from a break visiting the rest of the main six since he sometimes took these breaks when the chores were done and he didn’t need to offer her some assistance. It was the best she could do for her number one assistant and as someone who has been like a younger brother to her.
“Spike did you have fun visiting the girls today.”, she asked him.
“Yes, I did.", he answered.
"It was really fun.", he said.
"You should have come with me, you really need a break from all that studying you been doing this past week.”, he said.
“Alright, Spike I will try.", Twilight replied.
"It is great that you had a good time with the girls on a picnic.”, she said to Spike. Soon a letter came in from Princess Celestia.
Dear Twilight Sparkle,
I need you to come to Canterlot within a week for some very important things that we need to discuss. Do not worry about it too much though since it is not urgent. I hope that this would be enough time to pack your things and tell your friends where you are going. Do not let them go with you since this discussion will have to do with your duties that you will take on. You can tell them that. I will see you in a week.

P.S. I would advise you to get out more. A young mare like you should not spend a whole week cooped up in a library. I am only telling you this because I remember what it was like to be young and unaware of the sacrifice that I had to make. Enjoy that time while you can.
Twilight then read the letter and then told Spike to start packing some things since they were going to Canterlot.
