Two of the three teams regrouped at Twilight's. The two team's were Luigi's Team and Mario's Team.
"We still have to wait for Dreambert and Starlow!" Mario said. What? Did you think he was dead? Wrong! What kind of story would this be if there was no hero?...Anyways, let's continue. "Let’s talk about our adventures while we wait for the last sphere!" Mario shouted.
"Okay," Luigi replied. "I'll go first…”
Luigi Applejack and Pinky pie got off the train entering the frozen north.
"Have a good evening...I don't know why the green Pony looks like that!" the conductor said. and the train left.
"Brrr, it's cold here" Applejack stated.
"Whoa" Luigi said as he pointed at the crystal empire, "What's that?"
"That's the crystal empire." Applejack replied.
"Can we go there?"
"No...we'd just be wastin' time!"
"Maybe the sphere is there?" Luigi replied.
"If it was there, then the book would have said so!" Pinkie shouted.
"Pinkie's right..." AJ said.
"Awwww man...we got stuck with the boring and cold job!"
"Luigi, quit fussin', we need to get the job done!"
After about an hour of climbing the mountain, they noticed a little village. "The sphere could be there!" Pinkie yelled in excitement.
"Let's go, my world hangs in the balance!"
They arrived at the village. There was a giant tree in the middle of the village. They whee greeted by an earth pony he was brown with a red mane, and wearing a red and green scarf. He had a Christmas tree for a cutie mark, and a Santa hat on. "What's with this tree?...It's nowhere near Hearthswarming Eve!" Apple Jack stated.
"Well this is Jolly Town, we celebrate Hearthswarming all year long"
"Hearthswarming?" Luigi asked. "Don't you mean Christmas?"
"Here in Equestria, we call it Hearthswarming!" Pinkie pie stated.
"This is the only warm place in all of the frozen north to stay!" The villager stated. "The name's Butternut Squash, pleased to meet you!"
They walked across town into a little house. "This is it," Butternut stated, "this is my home. You can stay here for the night!"
"You have no idea how much this means to us!" Applejack said, and then they walked in.
"Wow, cozy. I wonder how my bro is doing!"
They all sat down on the couches, then noticing his mantle, they saw a golden ball. "That's the sphere!" Luigi yelled, "This was a piece of cake!" Luigi walked over to it then AJ stopped him. "Hey?!"
"We can’t just take it. That’d be stealin'. " Applejack said.
"Yeah and we can’t steal! That would defy the laws of the elements of harmony!" Pinkie yelled.
"Then what do we do?"
"We ask him!" Pinkie said appearing in front of Luigi, then floating up.
Just at that moment, Butternut came into his house, "Sorry, just had to do some housework...can I get you anything?" Butternut said walking into the living room.
"Ummm can we have that?" Luigi asked pointing at the sphere.
"No! This was the gift my wife gave me before she passed away!" Butternut said picking up the sphere. “Why do you want it anyway?"
"Because this guy's world hangs in the balance!" Applejack stated pointing at Luigi.
"Yeah this loon named Fawful, he's taking over his world!" Pinkie said.
Butternut looked at them for a second, taking his time to think, not sure what to do. "I-I...No!" Shock filled the room. "I promised my wife I'd take good care of it!" he put it back on the mantle and walked into the kitchen.
"So now what're we gonna do?" Applejack asked.
"I'll tell you... first we get into spy suits, then we sneak into his house when he's not looking...grab the sphere. then I triple loop into th-"
"Pinkie, that plan would work...except we’d be stealin' " Applejack said.
"You know what, AJ? Sometimes it's okay to steal and lie!" Luigi said.
"But you don't get it, I'm the element of honesty, I can’t lie!"
"Hmmm maybe we can bargain with him..." Luigi said.

They arrived at the cemetery, Luigi holding three shovels. "This is so wrong. I don't know if I can do this." Applejack stated.
"Look, we dig up his wife, I give her this one-up mushroom, he won’t be sad, and we get the sphere!" Luigi said.
"This’d better work!" Pinkie pie said. "I don't want to get arrested because of this!"
"We won’t!" Luigi replied, and they started digging. Through the snow, through the grass, and through the dirt. They found a skeleton, "Okay...here goes!" Luigi shouted. He fed the one-up to the skeleton.

Nothing happened.
"Aww man, that didn't work!" Applejack yelled.
"Guess we just...head back. I let my whole world down" Luigi was trying with all his might not to cry. Then they heard something moving in the crater. They looked back and saw a beautiful unicorn, she was a cyan blue color with a long white mane and a first aid kit for a cutie mark.
"A-...am...am I alive?" she asked.
"You sure are!" Applejack stated.
"How did this happen?"
"You can thank Luigi!" Pinkie said pointing at Luigi
"T-THANK YOU!" she ran over and hugged Luigi. "My name is Loretores "
"Can I ask a favor of you?" Luigi inquired.

"I don't know how I can repay you!" Butternut said holding Loretores.
"Well I know!" Luigi said in an irritated tone.
"Right right, the sphere!" Butternut went in his house. and came out, holding the sphere. "Here you go!"
Back in the present. The two teams sat in Twilight's house. "And that's how we got this baby" and Luigi held out the sphere.
"Wow...well" Mario started "As Twilight, Rarity, a-"
"MARIO!" Dreambert yelled as him, Starlow, Rainbow, and Fluttershy came crashing in.
"Oh hi, may we see your sphere?" Rarity asked.
"W-w...we don't have it!" Starlow started.
"WHAT?"
"You heard the sprite, we don't have it!" Rainbow yelled
