Release the Beast

CHAPTER 56
Release the Beast

“What do you need me to do RainFall, is his training complete?” Shining Armor said as he entered the big room. RainFall pointed out that Spike had now grown to the full size of the cage. Shining nodded to this, and gathered as much magical strength as he could. Shining focused all of his power onto the dragon inside of the cage before him, and shot a big beam of magic between himself and the dragon. His magic surrounded both of them, this bubble started to glow brighter and brighter until they both disappeared.

“What’s that in the distance? Is that, Spike?” Twilight said as she pointed her hoof in the direction of the castle nearby. They picked up the pace, they didn’t care about what was around them, how exhausted the truly were, but a friendly face was all they needed. Spike’s massive form took up a nearby field, he rose above the clouds, and seemed to be very calm in comparison to the last time they all saw him as this. Fluttershy in the instant she saw him dug a hole, and hid on the inside of it. “Fluttershy, there’s nothing to worry about, it’s just Spike, he won’t harm us.” Twilight said as she pointed out the purple scales and the green spikes. Spike turned to see his friends, and stood up from where he sat. He was very happy to see his great friends, this was an event he would remember for a very long time. “Twilight!” The enormous Spike roared at them. “I’m so happy to see you, it’s been so long since I’ve seen any of you. I hope none of you have forgotten me.” Spike smiled as he said this, tears started to form in his huge eyes. Rarity stepped up, and said “Poor poor Spike, don’t cry. We haven’t nearly forgotten about you, we’ve been worried about you. We didn’t know what they were doing to you, we didn’t know they were doing such a thing with you.” A few minutes had passed when a roar from the nearby castle erupted from the keep itself. King Sombra’s dragon was growing impatient. Spike turned to the castle, and roared louder than he has ever roared before. The dragon’s response was a lot quieter than the last one was. Spike smiled, and started to laugh, Pinkie Pie was the first to join in, and the rest joined in as seconds past on. “Well, I guess our journey is coming close to its end, I’m going to miss the times we’ve had. At least we will have great stories to tell our fillies about.” Twilight said as she looked to her group of friends. “One last hug before we start the last chapter of our journey.” They all began to cry, and all group around for the last hug during their journey.
