//------------------------------// // Chapter 19 // Story: Starbloom Chronicles II // by L_Wolf //------------------------------// ~*{Chapter Nineteen}*~         Starbloom sighed softly after getting to her room, she wasn’t really feeling that hungry anymore. She didn’t eat any of the treats offered to her at Sugar Cube Corner by Pinkie Pie, just didn’t have much of an appetite and after her run in with Silver Spoon she had even less of one.         She opened the door to her bathroom and went inside she took off her headband and dropped it on the counter before getting into the shower and sat down reaching a hoof up she started the cold water shuddering at the cold stream before turning up the hot water but slowly until the water felt more like a summer shower.         She shivered softly sitting under the water, she had tears rolling down her cheeks, but the water from the shower made it hard to see. She let her head drop forward her mane falling over her face covering it as she cried, letting out the emotions she had been holding back for the past few years since Spike’s death in her world.         Twilight knocked the door to Starbloom’s bathroom, “Starbloom, are you alright? You have been in there for a while now your dinner is getting cold.” Twilight asked with concern in her voice.         “I… I’m fine…” Starbloom answered, though Twilight could barely make her voice out through the door.         “I’m coming in,” Twilight stated her horn lighting up as she pushed the door open going inside. She gasped sharply seeing Starbloom curled up in the shower under a cold stream of water. The hot water had long since run out. “Starbloom what are you doing?!” She demanded worriedly quickly turning off the water and floating Starbloom out of the shower and wrapping her in a towel to dry her off.         Starbloom didn’t say anything at first as Twilight got her dried off; she didn’t have any answers about what she was doing. Once she had been dried off, she looked at Twilight, “Mom…” She started softly resting her head against Twilight’s chest softly. “I was thinking, I didn’t mean to scare you… I just needed to think.”         Twilight sighed softly moving to the bedroom sitting Starbloom on the bed removing the towel she wrapped her in a blanket to help warm her up. She was still shivering from the cold water. “You know if you have a problem you can talk to me.” Twilight said softly sitting on the floor in front of the bed.         “I know mom,” Starbloom mumbled softly lying on the bed looking at the floor. “It’s nothing though I’ll be alright I just need some time to think.” Starbloom said looking up at Twilight smiling weakly.         Twilight could see past that, it was obvious something was bothering her daughter. Nevertheless, she knew it wouldn’t do any good to push the matter either. Starbloom would just evade the issue or get defensive about it. “Alright… but if you need to talk you know where to find me.” Twilight offered getting to her hooves leaning over and kissing her on the forehead. “I’ll keep your dinner warm when you’re ready to come down.”         “Alright mom, thank you.” Starbloom said smiling up at her. She watched as Twilight left the room before resting her head on the bed again sighing softly. She tried to pull a pillow over with her magic before remember she took her headband.         She grumbled a bit getting up and moving to grab a pillow in her teeth and pull it over snuggling back down under the covers and cuddled the pillow close to her.  For a moment she wished Sweetie Belle was still here but quickly pushed that thought aside. Sweetie had her problems right now, she wondered if this was how Sweetie feeling though.         That though made tears swell her in eyes and she wiped at them with a hoof shaking her head, No, Sweetie would be feeling loss and sorrow… You're just feeling conflicted and self-pity Starbloom she scolded herself in her thoughts. “I really should… just talk with mom about this…”         She sighed again and got off the bed going to the bathroom to get her headband and put it on, she took her brush and fixed her mane and tail wincing a few times at some snags and tangles from rolling in the blanket. Once she was done with her mane and tail she left the bathroom and used her magic to fix her bed before heading downstairs.         “Feeling any better?” Twilight asked seeing Starbloom come downstairs.         “A little mom,” Starbloom answered making her way to the kitchen.         “I’m glad to hear that dear,” Twilight smiled following her to the kitchen using her magic to get out Starbloom’s dinner and warm it backup. Spike was working on his chores in the kitchen; he looked over and smiled at the two.         Starbloom smiled back at Spike before she took a seat at the table and Twilight sat the plate in front of her, “Mom… Pinkie was right; I've never dealt with what happened to me… in my world.” Starbloom said looking up at her.         Twilight sighed softly nodding at Starbloom fixing them a glass of tea setting one down for Starbloom. “I know dear, at the time you seemed to be doing well though. I should have known you were suppressing your emotions.” Twilight sighed softly taking a drink of her tea.         “Mom… how could you have possibly known?” Starbloom asked picking at her dinner she still wasn’t feeling that hungry. “After getting here from Canterlot I had pretty much buried everything.”         “I’m your mother Starbloom, besides that we’re the same pony… it’s something I would of have done.” Twilight admitted shaking her head softly sighing. “I just didn’t want to dig up past and hurt you with it… but I can see now that was a mistake, you’re hurting now.”         Starbloom smiled at Twilight moving from her spot around to sit next to Twilight hugging her softly nuzzling her side, “Mom…” Starbloom murmured into her side and Twilight hugged her back softly         “Ever since you got here dear all I’ve wanted to do is keep you safe and happy. Maybe I took it a little too far though,” Twilight, said wrapping a wing around Starbloom looking down at her smiling.         “You have mom, I don’t think I could be happier then I have been.” Starbloom smiled looking up at Twilight, “This is something… I should have dealt with in Canterlot.”         Twilight smiled at Starbloom hugging her back softly with the wing. “How, do you want to deal with this? Professional counselor or do you want to talk this out just you, me, and Spike?” Twilight asked.         Starbloom nuzzled her mother’s shoulder softly looking up at her. “I think, we just talk this out ourselves… a counselor might have me committed if I told them I was you from another world,” Starbloom suggested looking up at Twilight; she was half joking trying to lighten the mood.         “Good point, we’ll start as soon as you’re ready.” Twilight said smiling as she let go with her wing. Starbloom nodded smiling, moving away she went to finish her dinner.         Once she had finished they went into the living room, Spike included to help Starbloom with her emotional distress over what had happen to her in her world. Talking over what had happen and how she felt about it, both Spike and Twilight offering support.         Across town in Carousel Boutique Rarity and Sweetie Belle were doing the same similar on a more personal level though. They were in Rarity’s bed looking through old photo albums of their parents and reliving the memories.
