Luna took it all in from her flight from Canterlot, it was her day or to put it in more technical terms her night for time being. A night she celebrated and that she could be herself for the one holiday that was named after herself. Yet the last time she was there, the events at the beginning of said were not as fortuitous as she believed it could be, but further that night she finally accomplished she wanted and with the help of her sisters student and her friends(excluding the one she had dubbed "the shy one" even though she knew her name is Fluttershy) but all in all it turned out to be a holiday she wanted to out for, for the little foals that ran past her hooves and the smiles on everyponies faces.
But most of which she practiced her speech, she was stuck in the anarchaic ways of speaking but she listened and learned from the ponies around her, mainly her guards and servants and her sister most of the time; but she knew that she had to adjust to the times and had to amount too the times and the changes it brought to her
But she could not forget what everypony did for her when she came last Nightmare Night. And to honor what Twilight and her friends and not forgetting the whole of Ponyville did for her, she wanted to give them a surprise, a song. The song she found in an ancient tome and was sealed away in the Cosmic Strum section, a section that celebrated her works as a bard on her style and her warping of her vocals to make any song sound enchanting. One song she found interested her immensely....but it would wait.......
Right now Ponyville was in sight and she couldn't wait.

Flitting across the night sky was a familiar trickster darting all over looking for somepony to prank with her usual thundercloud she snagged from a storm that was supposed to be due for next week. The last Nightmare Night she was a Shadowbolt, but after her endeavor with reading and a chase from two grumpy security ponies she was now dressed as her favorite character Daring Do, complete with a parchment with Daring's cutie mark over hers and her fur color now matching Daring's which painstakingly took her hours to do. And that pony to no surprise was the Element of Loyalty herself, Rainbow Dash.
" Now for the next victim." As she took her raincloud to the next unsuspecting pony, below her was a familar lavender unicorn dressed in her costume, the very same one she wore last Nightmare Night, this time she had the very same bells and beard......especially the beard which was now dragging on the ground. Rainbow Dash suddenly caught wind out of the corner of her eye and snuck behind the lavender Unicorn, her cloud stalking ready to strike. But as soon as she was about to strike....
" You know Rainbow, you need a new trick." The lavender unicorn announced, " I thought you and Pinkie would whip something new."
" Your no fun Twi, " Rainbow Dash huffed," Like how your dressed in that clown outfit again."
" I'm Starswirl the bearded!" Twilight spoke irritated by the fact she passed two other ponies both dubbing her costume "Tingle" and "Gandalf", where they got the names was beyond her.
" I don't see it."
" I made his beard longer and added a bit more white to it! I even fixed his hat by angle by one percent to accurately depict him!" Twilight said still irritated by this, hoping at least it got to most ponies.
" So you pretty much added nothing to your costume?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Ughhhhhhh!!" Twilight groaned face poling the nearest stall, the only pony that recognized her was Princess Luna and she was at least grateful that she recognized who she was.
" Twilight come on, don't be such a downer over that costume." Rainbow Dash assured her friend.
" I know that, but their is more too look forward tonight at least." Twilight's attitude now perked up now forgetting the comment from her athletic friend
" Yeah with Princess Luna coming again to celebrate Nightmare Night is gonna be awesome!" Rainbow relished the thought of the Princess participating in a little pranking with her, rumors abound that Luna is a notorious prankster and constantly has wars with her sister, the last prank battle they had flooded the throne room in cake batter and bubbles from a bubble bath along all supplied by Pinkie. How Luna and Pinkie added bubbles to the mixture could only be answered with its just Pinkie.
" I have my ways author," A voice surprised both Twilight and Pinkie when they gazed upon a pink earth pony, gone was the poofy pink mane and tail with flowing a white mane covering both her eyes and flowing white tail to boot. along with a black vest and red trench coat adorning her, " I have my ways...and I know you have a crush on my human form...but not from the Equestria Girls by the way."
" Pinkie who-." Twilight asked uncertain that the answer was gonna be plausible.
" Duh, the authors a massive Devil May Cry fan! I like the game too and the main character is so funny! So i dressed up as him."
" Pinkie whats....." Rainbow asked sharing the same uncertainty as Twilight.
" Princess Luna!" Pinkie pointed her hoof towards the sky, low and behold was the Princess of the Night landing gracefully in front of the mass of ponies as they all bowed. Luna let out a laugh at the sight, " Rise everypony, you do not need to bow to me." All of them got up as the three elements got up to the front of the mass, Luna, " Greetings Elements! How has your Nightm-." Luna froze at Twilight, " I see you are Starswirl the Bearded.....again."
" Of course!" Twilight beamed as Luna chuckled at her friend's enthusiasim as she turned to the Element of Loyatly, " And I see you are brave Daring Do, adventurous and brave in her endeavors."
" Aw yeah." Rainbow cheered as she hoofbumped the princess, Luna turned to the Party pony herself and froze, " And I am sorry Miss Pie.....but who-."
" I'm Dante the Demon Killer has a nice ring to it don't ya think?" Pinkie announced, " Whoops wrong line and universe silly me."
"......"
"......"
".....Well then." Luna smiled regardless of the party ponies antics and their was no doubt she considered Pinkie her friend.
"Princess Luna, I welcome you to your second Nightmare Night in Ponyville." Twilight announced as the ponies behind her stomped their hooves in applause in anticipation for the Princess.
Luna blushed at this as she cleared her throat, " And it is an honor being here again, I have a gift for all of you." whispers in the crowd washed over them as they listened with anticipation as Luna walked up on stage, " It is a song I found in the Canterlot library and its genre and band has been forgotten for thousands of years before my parent's were born and it is song that I find appropriate for a wondrous holiday." Luna's horn glowed as a guitar, a bass, a drumset and an organ were summoned on stage all still the glow, " And I warn you I will be using my Royal Canterlot Voice to sing this song, so for all my little ponies I apologize." The crowd nodded along with the elements as a spotlight shined on Luna as she inhaled as soon as that happened...the guitar strummed:
All ponies plugged their ears at the mass of noise that came from the combined instruments as some were blown back as Luna began her singing of a martyr and unnamed figure and singing some dark lyrics. Twilight was holding her hat as best as she could as her beard decor whipped behind her neck and holding on by its strings, Rainbow Dash was struggling to stay in the air from the power of this song but still held a smile on her face, Pinkie on the other hand was bobbing her head rapidly up and down her white mane following with the beat of the music, in wonder of the genre and the energy it sent through her body.
As the song came to a close and the instruments vanished in a bright light Luna gazed upon the crowd with a massive smile to see most ponies mane's blown back and some ponies tangled in fabric and in tree trunks. Twilight's beard was ripped in half from the force of the voice and her cloak somewhere Celestia knows where. Rainbow Dash was tangled up in a flag of Luna and struggling to get out of the evil flags hold on her life.
Pinkie just stomped her hooves rapidly cheering in the process, " Yay! That was great! Did everypony like it?"
"......" The only thing that could be heard from Pinkie and Luna was crickets at the shock looks of the ponies.
Luna cheered along with Pinkie," Their is the music that was presented I hope it is a satisafactory gift for all of Ponyville." The only thing that came were enthusiastic applause from the ponies who managed to snap themselves from their shocked states," Now that is out of the way, " Luna inhaled, " Let us begin the festivities!!!" Now ever pony now finally out of their stupor that rattled the foundations of Ponyville. Twilight went off to look for her cape and Rainbow Dash flew right next to Luna and with a very happy expression, " That.....was.........awesome! What kind of music was that, it literally blew DJ Pon3's music out of the water." At that time, said named DJ sneezed off in the distance and continued her daily walk through Ponyville.
" Thank you Miss Dash, as for the genre i recall something from the book that it was called Power Metal and the band that sang it originally was called Powerwolf."
"Powerwolf, that sounds like a rad name." Rainbow Dash commented.
" It piqued my interest and I just couldn't-" Luna froze and swiveled her head side to side, " Where is Miss Pie and Twilight Sparkle?"
" I think Twilight went too look for cloak for costume and Pinkie-"
" Im over here!" Pinkie yelled.
"Pinkie what are you doing over there, don't ya wanna hang out with Princess?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Nope..I gotta go wish some ponies a happy Halloween, their gonna be guests too in the Authors Notice." As Pinkie took off with a giant drill strapped to her back. Luna and Rainbow Dash nodded in her antics, then realization hit as both said in unison, " Wait......"
"Whats Halloween?"
