CHAPTER 54
Back to the Journey

“TWILIGHT! Where have you been, we’ve been so worried.” Applejack said as she woke the others. Everypony looked up to see their leader, and gave a big smile. “Are you ok Twilight, you’ve been gone for so long?” Twilight walked to the middle of the whole group, and said “I’m really sorry that I wasn’t around, but I fell off a cliff. This ogre at the bottom of the cliff apparently saved my life. I decided since all it wanted was some friends that I would let it come along, but it turned out to be a cave troll/ogre breed. It turned into stone the moment the sun rose.” Cadence walked over to Twilight, and said “We all must rest here, I know you want to continue right now, but we must not move on from here. A recent oracle has spoken to me, she told me that I should stay close to my sister, and watch for them. That’s exactly what I’m going to do, Shining Armor should be here soon, he just decided to take a few minutes to clear his mind.” Just then there was a small rustling in the nearby bushes, and Shining Armor stumbled out of the. He stood up, and said “We have to watch ourselves, I just encountered a few changelings.” He was speaking directly to Cadence, and turned to see the rest of them, and made a huge smile when he saw Twilight. “I’m so happy to see you, we still need to get us moving though, you know what happened last time we slept because we wanted to catch up.” At that the eight of them packed up all of their belonging, and started to head toward the edge of the forest. They all finally came to a clearing where all the trees from that point were dead. Shining Armor then pointed out that there was a castle in the far distance, and said “I’m sorry to say, but we both need to get back to Canterlot. We need to help with their defenses and hope that we could get an army up to assault that castle.” Shining Armor grabbed Cadence, and they both disappeared. Twilight looked to her group of ponies, and said “Ok, lets do this.”
