Chapter 8: Rainbow Dash's Nightmare Night Scare

This Halloween/Nightmare Night story has 3 chapters left and it will be done. Also, I planned on Twilight's friends joining her in the final battle to use the Elements of Harmony so some suggestions may be changed.

All right, time to continue.

The villains are enjoying themselves in their new House of Chaos, now under their control. Smaug smiles on stage as he looks at the other villains, remarking, "Okay, now that the House of Pony, or House of Chaos, is our house now, things are going to be different from now on..."

"This is perfect." Seto said while he turns to his queen and continues in a seductive tone. "Right my queen?"

"Shut up!" Chrysalis snaps at Seto, not in the mood for his come ons right now.

"Don't sorry, Seto!" Ed exclaims to Seto to cheer him up after Chrysalis's snapping mouth.

"Yeah, least ya still got us." Fred said with a stupid nod.

"Joy..." Seto said sarcastically to his fellow Changelings. "This is more fun than the activities in the My Little Pony comic books."

"All right, enough, Smaug, you had your fun!" A familiar voice snaps angrily. The villains groans in annoyance as Smaug saw Twilight coming on stage. "Yeah, yeah, good stunt you pulled on us, but I'm going to set things right! And I brought my pals! Rainbow, Pinkie?"

Rainbow got on stage and jumps for a good reason. Pinkie is still screaming like a demonically possessed manic and holding her own pretty well against all the villains EXCEPT the main ones (Smaug, Discord, Trixie, Doctor Lizardo and Queen Chrysalis themselves); Looks like the villains' takeover is going to be a short one.

That is until Dr. Lizardo calls out to Pinkie, "Sorry about that! Didn't mean to break a Pinkie Promise; it's Nightmare Night and we don't want to be dull villains for not doing anything."

That did it, Pinkie calms out, out of her Pinkie Promise rage, while snapping, "Well, I heard a sorry in there so I will take that one. But you got to do a lot more apologizing later."

"Yes, lovely, love." Dr. Lizardo said in a lovingly tone of voice as he grabs Pinkie. The pink pony is creeped out as the mad scientist performs his over-affectionate embraces. "Come on, my dear. Join us, I will show you the time of the Chaos life. We will dance the night away, having more fun than ever. We shall party all throughout Equestria, darling; Hoo hoo hoo hoo."

Pinkie breaks away and runs off, Lizardo snicker, "I love it when they play hard to get."

Tirek snap, "Let's get the mind back on the task at hoof, LePew."

Twilight roll her eyes while snapping to Smaug's group, "All right, Smaug, because you just violated rule of the House of Pony, which is no villainous schemes even if it is Nightmare Night but the rules still apply in this place, I will just slap you on the wrist...as long as you get off my stage right now or we will get rough!"

Smaug on the other hands, roll his eyes as he made some signal. Boris exclaims to him in alarm, "Wait, Smaug! Don't hurt Twilight! She's mine!"

"Oh, I won't...they will." Smaug said with an evil smirk.

Twilight smirks to her friends (Pinkie came back), but they got a scared look on her face. The unicorn turns and saw Discord and Chrysalis going near the villain...as well as Grogar who grew big and smirks while preparing his horns.

Twilight gulps a bit then screams as she and his friends got kicked right out of the House of Chaos, along with Rainbow and Pinkie. The purple mare groans, "Do you think we should've taken the others with us on this?"

"Yeah, pretty much." Rainbow said to Twilight with a shrug.

The villains applaud inside the club as Smaug laughs, "Nice try, Twilight, but you, that party pony and that ego-driven Pegasi are about to get a real fright with this next cartoon!"

"Wait, I thought we were going to do villainous acts, not watch cartoons." Rainbow Chaos points out to Smaug with a frown. "How is that different than the House of Pony?"

"We will do villainous acts eventually! You can't rush these things, Rainbow Chaos!"

The villains applaud some more as the next cartoon starts.

It is Nightmare Night in Equestria and the ponies are trick or treating, with foals going around getting candy. Even those lovable Cutie Mark Crusaders are out and about in Shadowbolts outfits, with their bags in their hooves. Anything could happen in this place, especially the terror and such.

The three Foals first stop at Rarity's place which is closed to customers but opened to customers. As they came over, a familiar mare came out in a witch's outfit, laughing while giving her sister and her friends a little fright, making them jump; The Cutie Mark Crusaders smile, knowing that it's part of the fun.

Rarity hums a bit as she uses her magic to stir her pot around to get something good, pulling out Opalscence who screeches and ran out. Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo saw a huge batch of candy that the white unicorn pulls out. They held out their bags to get the candy.

Next stop is the library as the three foals snuck near the entrance, coming into the place. The trio stops as they saw a coffin in the middle of the room shaped like a pony...that opens by itself revealing candy inside. Apple Bloom, Sweetie and Scootaloo took...and saw a familiar horn popping out.

The fillies screams in alarm as Twilight came out in a vampire outfit with a smirk. Her colt-friend is taking Nyx out for trick or treating as well as Spike so the purple unicorn is giving out candy by herself.

Twilight pass out plastic Nightmare Night jack-o-lanterns full of candy. The Cutie Mark Crusaders smile while thanking their friends. As they leave, Twilight chuckles while slowly going back into the coffin which closes.

Of course as the Cutie Mark Crusaders leave, Scootaloo got curious and went back to the coffin and open it...but screams as bat flew out of the thing, causing her to run off, but her devil's tail of the costume got stuck in the coffin. Scootaloo ends up dragging the thing until she got to the entrance. The door closes, ripping the devil's tail right out as the Pegasus filly rush over to join her friends.

Twilight, who left her coffin, peeks through a window and chuckles before getting back to what she was doing.

Next up is Sugarcube Corner where Pinkie is giving out candy. As the Cutie Mark Crusaders slowly snuck towards it, they fil to see a tree is following them. Of course, the said tree is really a cutout.

Upon arrival at Sugarcube Corner, the Cutie Mark Crusaders finally saw the tree and trots towards it...then it turns around to reveal Pinkie...in a pink bunny outfit? The Earth pony gives out a scary sound.

The Cutie Mark Crusaders blink as they turn to Sugarcube Corner which is decorated with stuff for Easter it looks like. Pinkie gave eggs to the foals while exclaiming, "Hippity hoppity, happy Nightmare Night, you three! Are you scared?!"

"Doubtfully; Pinkie Pie, do yew even remember what Nightmare Night is about?" Apple Bloom asks Pinkie dryly.

"On the 31st of October of course easy; and I'm supposed to dress up and give out stuff!"

"Yeah, but I think you got your holidays messed up." Sweetie said with a sigh. "You don't give out eggs on Nightmare Night, remember?"

"Right, you give out candy!" Scootaloo exclaims to Pinkie in agreement.

"Oh, oopsie; Well, I will try to remember that, thanks!" Pinkie exclaims sheepishly to the three fillies. So the mare messed up a bit. Maybe next time, she will get Nightmare Night right!

Soon, the Cutie Mark Crusaders are arriving to the home of Rainbow Dash. Sweetie said, "All right, once we get candy from Rainbow Dash, we should be done. Let's hope she doesn't try to be a major prank like the incident with Zecora."

Thanks to cloud walking magic, the three coals trot up the cloud path and head right to Rainbow's door. They knock while calling out, "Trick or treat!" Of course, oddly enough, Rainbow herself didn't answer.

Apple Bloom knocks on the door then looks through the keyhole. Rainbow's TV is on to a Wonderbolts program...and she appears to be on the couch, sleeping and covered with a blanekt.

"Well, shoot! Looks like Rainbow is napping...an' probably not wanting 'ta do 'de trick or treating 'dis year. Figures," Apple Bloom groans a bit. Rainbow is like this every year.

Suddenly a shadow looms over the fillies, much to their notice. They look up...and saw a figure with glowing red eyes whose has a hook for a hoof. The Cutie Mark Crusaders scream in terror as the dark figure appears, wearing a mask like that of a certain movie monster.

Literal ghosts came out of the girls then goes back inside before the Cutie Mark Crusaders gallop off in terror and leave their treat or treat bags behind, the figure glares menacingly at them. The trio quickly rushes away from Rainbow's home, rushing to a hollow tree nearby.

As the Cutie Mark Crusaders peek out from behind the tree, Apple Bloom said with a sigh, "Ah done we think lost 'de guy."

"Wait...what about Rainbow Dash?" Sweetie asks with a gasp of horror. The mare is in danger from that killer!

"We got to warn her!" Scootaloo exclaims in a panic. Rainbow Dash is in danger and she doesn't even know it!

In Rainbow Dash's home, the figure got in with the foals' trick or treat bags, putting them in a bowl on the table and appearing Rainbow still sleeping on the couch. He then removes his mask and his hoof, as well as his hood revealing himself to be...Rainbow Dash?!

Rainbow chuckles eagerly as she glances at the candy bars, saying, "Oh yeah! That was one of the best pranks that I've ever pulled! Did I scare those girls good! They didn't even have the foresight to realize that the 'Rainbow Dash' that they saw was a dummy...literally!"

Sure enough, it turns out that the Rainbow Dash on the couch was really a basketball with a rainbow colored mop, a plastic knife and fake eyes on that is attached to a bin, taped with two forks, a sock and some shoes. That way, the mare can freak out any treat or treaters and steal their candy!

Meanwhile, the Cutie Mark Crusaders rush back to Rainbow Dash's home. It's risky doing so but they must warn their friend. But as the three girls peek through the keyhole, they saw to their surprise the mare herself throwing the dummy aside.

"Well, Nightmare Night should be over so I won't need that for a while. Time to watch the Wonderbolts Nightmare Night special while eating the treats that those cutie mark finding fillies has 'gave me'." Rainbow laughs a bit as she sat down onto the couch and reach into the candy bowl, eating one piece of candy...then spit it on. Turns out that the Pegasus pony has bit into one of the eggs that Pinkie gave the girls, "Ugh, that Pinkie Pie is so random. Why must she do this on Nightmare Night? Oh well."

Rainbow munches on the candy in the bowl eagerly while watching the Wonderbolts' Nightmare Night special. Unknown to her, the Cutie Mark Crusaders saw what she's doing...and are not happy at all.

"Well, turn out Rainbow is still at it...she gone too far 'dis time. Time fer payback once more; Okay, here's de plan." Apple Bloom said in determination as the Cutie Mark Crusaders gather around to begin the plan: to get revenge on Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow sighs as she put the candy bowl aside, having eaten all the candy in it...minus the eggs which the mare has threw out. Unknown to her, the shadows of Apple Bloom, Sweetie and Scootaloo sneak around. Rainbow looks confused as she turns around...but nothing is there. Odd.

Rainbow shrugs as she relaxes a bit, not seeing the fillies sneak past her. They turn, showing their teeth at the unsuspecting pranking pony. That startled the Pegasus pony enough to jump and looks behind the couch as if something is about to pounce from behind her.

This allows Sweetie to put glue on Rainbow's hook along with her mask then leaves just befoe Rainbow frowns while sitting back down. She is getting uncomfortable with this; perhaps the pony is getting paranoid; Unknown to her, the Cutie Mark Crusaders sneak out of the place; Time for the next part of their plan.

Rainbow looks around carefully as if wondering what's going to happen...then heard the door slam, making the Pegasus pony gasps and grabs a baseball bat with her mouth as if going to swing it.

Rainbow heard a knock on the door, making her calm down and put the baseball ball away then sighs, "Must be more trick or treaters...and more candy for me! Better get my costume on!" The pony got the costume, mask, hook and all, and jumps out of the place, roaring...but stopping upon seeing that it's just one of the Royal Guard named General Spanish Steel. "Oh! General Spanish Steel, good evening!"

"Yes, I hate to disturb you but three young fillies had gone missing this evening." Spanish Steel said sternly as he held up a poster of some masked monster...which looks like Rainbow's outfit. "Have you seen this fellow by any chance?"

Rainbow looks nervous while shaking her head, that guy in the poster looks definitely like her outfit. Spanish Steel in suspicion as he pull out a mirror, remarking, "No? Maybe you do because you look like the guy from the picture, Murdering Slasher!"

"Wait, wait; hang on!" Rainbow exclaims in panic. She got to prove to this Royal Guard that she herself isn't the Murdering Slasher! The mare tries to pull her hoof off but it's stuck to her hoof. "Wait, hang on. I can explain."

"Explain it to the princesses! I knew that you are the Murdering Slasher! You are under arrest for scaring foals to death!"

"I didn't! I am not the murderer!"

Rainbow screams in terror as she flew away, trying to escape Spanish Steel while pushing him out of the way. Of course, had the mare look back, she should've realized that it was really the Cutie Mark Crusaders in costume all along.

As the Cutie Mark Crusaders chuckle, Apple Bloom spoke into a headset on her head, "Pinkie, she's heading over 'ta where you are! Tell Twilight an' Rarity that it's time fer 'de next part. We will head to the fourth and final part to meet Rainbow there."

Scootaloo chuckles as she spoke in Spanish Steel's voice while Sweetie blew the whistle, "Come back here, you insane maniac!"

Rainbow flew over a tree and hid behind it while peeking out. This is crazy! The Royal Guard thinks that she is the Murdering Slasher who killed off the Cutie Mark Crusaders! The mare was only pulling a prank, she didn't mean to scare them to death!

Suddenly the tree moves, revealing Pinkie who was hiding in the fake thing. The Earth pony takes the poster out, comparing the Murdering Slasher in it to Rainbow in her costume. Now, while Pinkie is random, even she knew that this was really her friend...but the Cutie Mark Crusaders told her, Twilight and Rarity what happened. Even they agree that the Pegasus pony has gone too far in her prank so they agree to help get even with Rainbow as well.

"Hey, hold it right there, Murdering Slasher!" Pinkie exclaims with a frown.

"Wait, Pinkie Pie, it's me..." Rainbow couldn't say her name as Pinkie throw eggs at her, causing the mare to run off like mad, heading to the library. Twilight has to help her with this madness that the mare has caused apparently.

Twilight's coffin is outside the library as Rainbow ran into it. The coffin opens up as the mare come up, glare menacingly while snarling, "Slashing monster, you've gone too far this time! Now you shall pay!"

"Wait, wait! It's only me, Twilight!"

Rainbow screams as she flew off, even the purple unicorn thinks her as the killer! The Pegasus pony flew over to the Carousel Baroque and jumps inside the cauldron. Rainbow sighs in relief; that was a close one.

Suddenly Rainbow yelps in alarm as Rarity hits the cauldron with a spoon, causing her to get shaken up and forcing the mare out. She looks up and saw the white unicorn smirking while holding a ladle. To make matters worse for the disguised Rainbow, Twilight is nearby with a stake and mallet while Pinkie is holding her basket of eggs, all of them looks like they want to take her down (of course, it was really part of the plan to get even with Rainbow).

"Get the meanie!" Pinkie exclaims. Rainbow screams as she tries to run but fell into the cauldron, causing it to roll downhill.

Once both are gone, the three ponies laugh a bit while Twilight remarks, "Looks like we got her good. The girls can take it from here." The mare glances at Pinkie in her costume. "Pinkie, you are in a different holiday outfit...did you know that?"

Rainbow screams as she continues rolling down in the cauldron, with her hook getting caught on a tree on the way down, finally coming off and freeing her hoof. But she continues flying before rolling her down into a graveyard, rolling the cauldron down as if in an intense pinball game.

Soon the cauldron came to a stop as Rainbow came out; a tombstone hits her on the head and breaks her mask. The mare groans and rubs her head while saying, "Ouch...at least I can get away from that Slashing Murderer mistaken identify..."

Rainbow gasps in horror as she discovers where she was in...a cemetery! The mare turns and saw another horrifying sight: three tombstones with Apple Bloom, Sweetie and Scootaloo's names right on them!

"Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle...and Scootaloo," Rainbow gulps in horror upon seeing the names. "Did I really scare those three fillies to death?! Oh man, oh man!"

Then something more terrifying happens: Apple Bloom's hoof print came out as Sweetie appears, looking like a zombie while Scootaloo's hooves came out. Soon the three Cutie Mark Crusaders came out of the ground, moaning like zombies causing Rainbow to shake in terror. Of course, they were using magic to do so to get back at her.

"Rainbow Dash..." Sweetie said, speaking in a zombie voice.

"You scared us..." Scootaloo groans in the way.

"'TA DEATH," Apple Bloom exclaims in the same zombie voice.

Raibnow's reaction; Her literal ghost jumps out of her and flew off...but grabs the scared mare and got back into her. The Pegasus pony flew on and hid in a coffin. She sighs and lit a match...except three familiar filly zombies rose up menacingly.

Rainboe scream and blew out the match before crashing out of the coffin, flying off. The mare ends up running into a tombstone on top of a cliff, causing her to slid down it on the tombstone itself, knocking over several tombstones on the way down.

Rainbow spots a couple of ropes attached to the tombstone that she's riding, causing her to turn to see, to her terror, the Cutie Mark Crusaders holding onto them, acting like zombies still. They let go to allow their pranking pal to hit another tombstone, falling downward onto the ground.

Rainbow recovers and backs away with the Cutie Mark Crusaders trying to get her. The pony trips backward an fell right into a dug hole that is shaped just like her. She looks up to see the zombie Sweetie with a shovel in her mouth.

Rainbow gasps as zombie Apple Bloom peeks into the hole with another shovel in her mouth, growling, "Rainbow Dash, sure hope yew done like our candy..."

"Because it was ours," Zombie Scootaloo growls as she held another shovel wait.

"Wait, wait! I'm sorry, girls! Even I know now that my prank went too far!" Rainbow pleads with terror. "Spare me; I will get you your candy back!!"

"All of it?" Sweetie asks with a glare on her face.

"Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye. And that's a Pinkie Promise too! Even I know that I wouldn't dare break it!"

Rainbow cross her heart, making the Cutie Mark Crusaders smirks devilishly. Scootaloo remarks, "Oh, and we're holding you to that Pinkie Promise..."

"I cannot believe this." Rainbow groans as she goes up to Sugarcube Corner. Turns out that the Cutie Mark Crusaders aren't dead at all, they, along with her friends were getting back at her for the prank before.

And to make matters worse, Rainbow has done the Pinkie Promise so she has to get the candy back for the Cutie Mark Crusaders or face a mad Pinkie Pie...and worst yet, she has to do the trick or treating as well as getting the candy back in a devil's outfit!

"Come on, come on!" The Cutie Mark Crusaders snaps as they point a pitchfork at Rainbow.

"All right, I'm doing it!" Rainbow sighs as she rang the doorbell on Sugarcube Corner. Once the door opens, the mare say, "Trick or Treat!"

But then, a dark figure with a hook appears, raisined her hooked hoof up. The four ponies gasp and scream in terror, leaving the bag and pitchfork behind while making a run for it. The Murdering Slasher is real!

That is until the figure came out to reveal...Pinkie Pie in a Santa Hooves outfit holding candy canes. Once again, the Earth pony has messed up the holidays.

"Hey, where are you going? I got the candy thing right this time!" Pinkie exclaims in confusion, not sure why her friends has ran off like that. She shrugs. "Oh well, more for the trick-or-treaters, I guess; Ho ho ho, Happy Nightmare Night!"

Pinkie happily licks her candy cane as the cartoon came to an end.

Once the cartoon is over, the villains applaud, despite the fact that they're watching cartoons of the good guys. Still, they cheer on, having a great time in their new club.

Outside, the Mane Six, Ben and Spike watch outside from the entrance; Pinkie asks in concern, "Anypony got any idea?"

"We can't just stand here an' let those creeps take our club." Applejack said to her friends with a frown. "We must do something!"

"All right; move aside, fillies, I will deal with Smaug and Fluttershy is coming with me!" Ben snaps as he marches into the House of Pony with Fluttershy. The stallion is going to use force to take the club back.

Rainbow comment, "I haven't seen Ben that mad since the last time we had to deal with Boris."

Twilight nod and admit, "I know. But somehow, I doubt THIS will go as well."
