The God of Two Worlds

Am I Really God?

Princess Celestia stared at her own reflection in the pond in her own home world. "Am I really God?" she asked out loud. "Is what I'm doing wrong?" Princess Celestia was feeling very guilty and decided to take a trip to Twilight Sparkle's library.

Princess Celestia burst through the doors and the loud sound made Twilight nearly jump out of her seat. "Twilight! You must help me! I have been having these dreams at night and I don't know who I am."

Twilight Sparkle gulped and said, "You have been here before I was born and it is well known that you have lived for thousands of years. I have been doing some research and it seems that I was able to recover some lost books that were probably thrown out on purpose about God in this world. I also took something very special from the human world. I'm reading it now. It's called, the Bible."

"But aren't I the Alpha and Omega? How could there be a creature who is more powerful than me? I have the power to raise the sun and the moon!"

"Do you want the truth, my Princess?" Twilight asked.

Celestia slammed both of her two front hooves on the table and said, "Yes! Tell me the truth!"

"I don't think you're God. God is perfect and just, in every way and He is very much apart of this world as He is in the human realm. He is both holy in his wrath and can not tolerate even the slightest sin, yet He is also so loving and merciful because of His work on the cross. I think the same being that created this world and the human's world also created and you and Princess Luna. I believe that God was the one who gave us harmony in this land because I feel that something terrible happened before that brought terrible results in this world. The Bible states that the consequences of sin brought death and that the first fall in the Garden of Eden corrupted everything. The bushes that did not have thorns grew them, and sin even effected genetics of man and would be passed down from the father and mother to each generation. I don't understand why you're constantly sacrificing things in the name of your holiness. It's not doing anything but bringing more problems into this world and the other one. The Bible says that there is no more need for animal sacrifices because the Father had already sent His Son to die for our sins and that sacrifice was the ultimate sacrifice for all sins. Forever! We are saved by the blood of Christ alone. It is He alone that can transform peoples hearts and lives, not our crumby works." Twilight flipped a few pages and said, "A-hah! Here is a verse. We have all become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment. We all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away. It is written on our hearts to seek after God and I get the feeling that you were going around throwing out or destroying everything that God had told ponies to write down."

"So does that mean my sister and I will perish in the future because of our sinful nature? I am afraid of death."

"I'm afraid so," Twilight said. "But there is a great promise to those who surrender their lives to the Messiah."

"But why are there so many problems in these worlds if he is apart of both of them? Why have there been so many religious wars and millions of people dying because of religion?" Celestia asked.

"Because even though He is very much apart of the world, we aren't fully in His presence yet and even Christians are still imperfect people trying to follow a perfect God. Mistakes, disagreements, and strife will happen, and the enemy, Satan, loves to confuse others," Twilight answered. "We're still stuck in sin and sin separates us from God, but Christ fixed our sin issue with His work on the cross. There will be a time when He will come back and renovate the earth. He will put away the heavens and create a new Jerusalem. Without God, people will make up their own man-made rules and fall into sin, no matter how fair or good their rules may sound. They will say that there is no God, but they will follow and worship other things. For the fool says in his heart that there is no God."

Princess Celestia had no words because the truth came out. She eventually spoke up and said, "Thank you, Twilight. I'll be going now. Please continue to research."

For the first time in such a very long time, Twilight Sparkle smiled and wished the Princess well.

Princess Celestia had to speak with that prophet that she had in jail.

The guards opened the gate and Celestia stepped inside.

"Please give me some food and drink!" the one winged Pegasus pleaded. "I have not eaten in many days!"

Celestia ordered the guards to bring him food and water and they did so.

The Pegasus began eating and telling her the stories that he learned from dreams that he had been having in his prison cell. He told her the story of that same exact dream she had before and he began to tell her things that she had forgotten.

About two decades ago....

Princess Celestia and Princess Luna stood outside that building that they had created. After Princess Luna's fall and banishment to the moon for a thousand years, because of her jealousy of her older sister, the two renewed their relationship and tried to rule together. They tried to serve God again, but there was some creature out there tempting them. The two Princesses walked inside the little building outside of their palace.

Celestia read all of the commandments of what not to do. There were many commandments about using her magic for only certain things. There was even a rule that said not to remove this scroll or change anything about it or else disaster will strike. Celestia bit her lower lip at the rule that she wanted to change that stated that they were not to use their magic to interfere with the human world. Celestia had a quill ready and was going to reword the sentence to, "Do not interfere with other worlds except the human world." There were also some things that Luna wanted to change or as the more proper term she used, "Update." Celestia carefully removed the little square shaped glass case that was protecting this important document. She used her magic to levitate the quill closer to the page and then paused. She looked back at Luna with a look of worry and uncertainty.

Luna just nodded her head yes awkwardly as if to say, "Hurry up and do the deed so that we can get out of here."

Celestia put the quill down on the scroll and the moment she did that an earth quake happened and the two sisters began to panic. Celestia dropped the quill and tried to run to the door, but the room was very small and she tripped over her sister who was too stunned to move. They both fell to the floor. Celestia picked herself up and grabbed her sister by the hoof, but a large wooden beam broke off and hit both of them in the head, knocking them unconscious.

Both Princesses woke up in two separate beds next to each other. They were both in their own personal medical care center in their palace. There was a Doctor standing in front of them.

"W-w-what happened to me?" Celestia asked. "Why is my head killing me?"

"There was a major earth quake and we fear that other ponies may be injured. We found you both trapped underneath a bunch of rubble," the Doctor said. "We have loaded you both up on pain killers, but cannot give you anymore at this moment."

"Why can't I remember the earth quake?" Celestia asked.

"Because a part of the building must have fallen on your head," the Doctor said. "The x-rays showed that the damage was very bad for Princess Celestia and Princess Luna may have had some significant damage as well, but with such a hard impact that occurred to your skull, you may suffer with memory problems or some kind of amnesia for the rest of your life."

The vision in her mind faded away, as he told her the story and she was now focused back on the prisoner.

He looked up at her and asked her a question, "What happened with Discord?"

"I don't remember anything about..." Celestia was cut off by the prophet.

"Think!" he demanded.

Celestia began thinking and spoke. "He was present when I made my first mistake, wasn't he?"

"That's right!" the prophet said. "God had created an entire community for you to rule over and that creature, like the serpent, tempted you to keep the sun up for more than one day, and you listened to him. He became out of control in this world and with the help of God, He granted you the ability to turn him into stone. God warned you that he would break free and wreck havoc on this world if your ponies lived in disharmony and chaos. What did He help you create?"

"I-I-I," Celestia stuttered. "The Elements of Harmony?" she asked.

"That's correct," he said. "God gave you a vision and the ability to create the Elements of Harmony to defeat the wicked one if he ever broke free again, but now the wicked one is on your side. He is acting as a wolf in sheeps clothing and he is the one who deceives, lies, and destroys. How could you have been fooled? His name implies chaos and disharmony!"

"But, we turned him into a good being!" Celestia cried out. "He's on our side and he has done many things to help us."

"That's just part of the deception," the one winged Pegasus said. "There will be a time when he will stab you in the back if you do not take action now and stop him. He has already wormed his way into your heart and the hearts of others. There will be a time when he will be casted into the lake of fire for all eternity. He is the one who hurts, confuses, and destroys in the human world too."

Celestia sighed and walked out of the cell. She knew what she had to do. "Guards," she said. "Feed him and give him more water, then let him free. I have important matters to take care of."
