//------------------------------// // The Prophet // Story: The God of Two Worlds // by Brian Jacko //------------------------------// A few weeks went by, and Principal Celestia sent Princess Celestia a new message. The Principal would tape a letter to the portal, and Princess Celestia would use her magic to pull it in back into her own home world. The portal that the ponies came from now had lit candles surrounding it with personal letters of praise and adoration for the ponies. The message read, "Dear Princess Celestia. I have urgent news to tell you. Your little visit has left quite an impact not only on my school, but on the entire world. It seems that while the message of love and tolerance coming from magical creatures such as yourself sounds wonderful, it has been leading to disputes, hatred and even violence. My school has been arguing over who is the best pony and they can't concentrate on their school work because most of the male students are drawing pictures that they like to call clop pictures. We need your help to settle this once and for all. If you have the powers to raise the sun in your world, then you must have the powers to bring true peace into this world. Please come quickly! Yours truly, Principal Celestia." Princess Luna came back inside the palace. It was her bed time since she used up much of her magical powers to lower the moon and make way for her sisters bright and shining sun. She walked over to her sister and noticed the letter. "Celestia!" Luna cried out, "You aren't communicating with humans again are you? I can barely remember this, but weren't we told not to do that? Didn't we have some kind of scroll that said not to do that?" Princess Celestia had very vague memories of what had happened. Celestia looked at her sister with a dumb founded look. "I don't remember anything about a scroll." Suddenly, two royal guards burst through the door and shoved a pony to the floor in front of the Princess. The pony had a coat that was dull and grey, and he only had one wing because of a past incident where some ponies were persecuting him and beating him up so badly, that his right wing had to be amputated. He had a picture of a scroll as his cutie mark. He was a very poor Pegasus pony who spent much of his time begging for food since nopony would give him a job. He wore a robe with a hood that covered his head. One of the guards spoke up and said, "This crazy nut has been screaming outside your palace about God and the consequences of sin. Should we lock him up, or should we just take him right over to the guillotine?" "Let me hear what he has to say," the Princess said. The grey Pegasus stumbled to his hooves and said, "My Princess! You must not interfere with the human world any longer! God has told me the story of your creation and the message that He sent you. Do you remember it?" Princess Celestia's heart was telling her that the words coming out of this pony's mouth was true, but her mind did not believe it. "No!" she said. "I do not remember any kind of message. I don't know what you're talking about. I believe I am the Alpha and the Omega. I have no beginning, and I have no end." "Then there will be an extreme consequence for your sins. Do not say that you were not admonished!" the one winged Pegasus said. "And what use are you to God?" Celestia asked. "I have heard about you before. You are poor and only have one wing. You aren't even royalty like me. God would never care to use somepony in such poverty as yourself. I will rule this earth as God and I will rule the human realm as their God as well! Guards, take him away! Lock him up and starve him, but keep him alive." The guards grabbed a hold of the Pegasus pony and began dragging him out the door by his front legs. "Don't be foolish Princess Celestia! You were created, and the truth has been shown to you!" One of the guards paused and slammed his hoof hard against the face of their captive. Princess Celestia used her magic and slammed the two side doors shut. "What a nut!" Celestia said. Luna was feeling guilty because she somehow knew that those words he spoke were true. "Maybe we should reconsider what we are doing and not help the humans anymore," she suggested. "No!" Celestia said as she slammed one of her front hoofs on the arm of her throne. "They need our help and I will do as much as I can to help them. I must be God because why on Earth do I have the ability to raise the sun. Why has it been thousands upon thousands of years that I have not perished, yet the average life span of your typical pony doesn't even last to one hundred years of age? I am immortal." "But I have been with you for thousands of years as well. I may be younger than you, but I have been granted powers to raise the moon so that you can rest." Celestia was starting to become angry. "I don't need you to raise the moon, and I was fine doing it on my own when I had banished you to the moon for a thousand years. I may banish you again if you keep threatening me." Luna was taken back. Princess Celestia was by far the most powerful ruler in all of Equestria, and not even somepony who had the powers to raise the moon, could deal with her kind of power. She knew that deep down inside, her job was to keep her sister in check, but she too fell into sin and became greedy to rule the world in darkness. She wanted to speak more words to her sister, but the fear of facing another thousand years of suffering alone on the moon was enough to send her to her room.
