//------------------------------// // Ask Before You Take // Story: Ask Before You Take // by TacoBiteToughGuy //------------------------------// Ask Before You Take One day, Equestria’s Best Flier, Rainbow Dash, was zooming through Ponyville. Of course, this title was self-proclaimed by Rainbow Dash herself, but nopony argued otherwise; she was good. Zipping through the bustling town, Rainbow decided to make her way towards the Everfree Forest. Once she arrived at the outskirts of the forest, by Fluttershy’s cottage, she barreled her way through the entrance and went to practice her flying moves within the forest. The abnormal shape of the trees made it a fantastic place for a skilled flier like Rainbow to try out her moves, but it was very dangerous within the forest. Many creatures lay within the trees, lurking many ponies that are not careful of their actions. Twenty minutes later, RD was sitting in a tree, tired but unscathed. However, a voice started talking to her that almost made her fly right out of the forest. “Rainbow Dash, dear; come down from there.” “Zecora?” The sky blue pony perked her head up, slightly surprised. “Yes Rainbow, it is I; the only zebra here that was once shy. Why are you up in a tree; while you could go and be free?” The zebra inquired with a quite confused look on her face. “Well, I was practicing some of my signature moves within the forest; you should have seen them! Anyways I got tired so I decided to take a nap in one of the trees.” “It is not good for you to be out here alone; why don’t you come back with me to my home? I can cook some soup in a large pot; I will make it nice and hot.” “Mmm, soup. Sure Zecora, I’d love some soup!” Rainbow Dash flew out of her tree, and the two walked together to Zecora’s hut, which was also located within the Everfree Forest. “To actually fill up this pot, it actually must take a lot!” Zecora was going through the steps to make the soup with Rainbow Dash, who had seemed to lose interest about five minutes ago. She just could not wait to get her hooves on a bowl! However, not before the Pegasus’ drowsiness overcame her, and she fell asleep on Zecora’s sofa. “Look at her, tired from all the flying; I’ll finish the soup so it is worth trying.” In the end, Zecora went back to her soup, while Rainbow dreamed her self-conscious dreams. What would be waiting for Rainbow would make anypony smile. “Rainbow Dash, you must open your eyes; take a look at this surprise!” Dash’s eyes fluttered open, and in front of her was a piping hot bowl of soup, paired with a single spoon. It was vegetable, not that Rainbow cared; she would have eaten anything if it were in front of her. “Hah, cutlery is for wimps!” She dove in muzzle first into the bowl, except she forgot one thing… “HOT! HOTHOTHOTHOTHOTHOTHOTHOTHOT!” Rainbow jerked her head back and tried to cool down her mouth, but with no avail. That is when she saw it: a bubbly, red liquid placed within half of a coconut shell. Rainbow flew over, almost knocking over Zecora, and grabbed the coconut. “No wait Rainbow Dash; you will be sorry in a flash!” It was too late, as Rainbow had already started drinking the concoction. Several seconds later, her stomach made a loud gurgling sound. “Umm, Zecora, what did I just drink?” “That was a potion I was going to test, however I did not think to use it on my guest. You may be in trouble if the sound persists; so just be on the lookout if it gets any worse than this.” “Any worse than this?” Rainbow looked at herself, and could see that she had acquired a bit of a belly on her frame. “Oh man! This is not good! I worked so hard on my figure, now it is just going to all go to waste… Thanks for the soup Zecora, but I do not think I will finish my bowl. I will talk to you later Zecora!” Rainbow yelled as she closed the door behind her, while Zecora watched her increasing larger plot jiggle slightly. “Good-bye, pony of blue; hopefully you do not become huge.” Rainbow was very upset with herself. Her small belly had turned into a full-sized potbelly. The potions effects were changing the rest of her body too. Her lot became larger and had more of a jiggle to it, while her thighs were starting to increase in size. She even had the start of a double chin forming underneath her still streamline face. She flew up to her house in Cloudsdale, and locked the doors before anypony could see her. It was dark outside, so most ponies were either sleeping or getting ready for sleep. Rainbow was still growing, and there was nothing she could do about her problem. Rainbow decided to do the same as the others, and worry about her problem in the morning. She hopped on her bed, and pulled her covers up to her second chin and went straight to sleep, despite her usual tradition of four chapter of the Daring Do series. She fell asleep in ten seconds flat (you knew it had to be here somewhere) and did not wake up until the morning. When Rainbow awoke, she immediately flipped off the covers. What greeted her was a large, blue belly, and a plot with a cutie mark four times its original size. Her thighs touched no matter how far she spread them, and her chubby face was now rested upon three chins. She had stopped growing, but that did not make Rainbow Dash much happier. “How am I supposed to become a Wonderbolt now that I am an obese pig?” She grabbed her belly with her hooves and started moving it around, wishing that it would just disappear. However, instead of feeling gross about her fat, she actually started to enjoy playing with her excess body mass. She moved her hooves from her belly to her plot, and started to feel the large pillows of fat that accompanied her backside. Their squishiness was almost therapeutic, as she began to feel better about her weight. “You know, this is not all that bad. I could get used to this,” Rainbow said as she started to play with her belly again, “even if it means not making the Wonderbolts.” Rainbow Dash began to daydream all about the wonderful foods she would be able to eat; it is not as if she is not going to be on a diet plan anymore. “Say, I wonder what Pinkie is baking right now…” The larger Pegasus stepped outside into the hot, summer day and started her decline to the bustling town below, where she would devour scrumptious sweets and delicious dinners. This was certainly a new time for “Equestria’s Best Flier.”
