Rainbow had been knocked out cold, and was badly hurt. However, there was one thing that hurt her more than the possessing demon inside of her, and it was the heartache of knowing it was going to kill her friends.
A few hours have passed since Applejack bucked and knocked her friend out and now there was a bigger problem other than a knife wielding, blood thirsty Pegasus. They had to decide what to do with her.
The day had passed into night and there was nothing to do with the broken down Pegasus other than to drag her body into an open cell.
'T-Twilight... her- her wing... it's missing' Fluttershy spoke in a quiet tone, pointing to the missing limb's bleeding joint.
'Oh my god.... Could she of done....'
Twilight was interrupted by Rainbow's groaning as her eyes slowly opened as she regained consciousness.
Twilight hesitantly used her magic to seal the prison cell's non-functioning door, making it impossible for Rainbow to escape.
They all watched as their friend squealed in pain as she tried to move her wings to aid her in getting up.
Rainbow's head slowly tilted her head only to shoot up off the floor in horror in discovering that her wing had been sliced off, clean from her body.
'AHHHH! MY WING! WHERES MY WING?!?!' Rainbow's eyes started to tear up as she held her wing joint.
Rainbow Dash, the loyalist and toughest of ponies was crying over the loss of her wing and torn apart soul.
Fluttershy was the first to speak. 'R- Rainbow? Is that you?' Fluttershy spoke quietly and softly as she tried to talk to the now weeping Pegasus.
'F- F-F-Fluttershy...?' Rainbow's cries grew silent at the sight of her long maned filly-hood friend.
Fluttershy let out a weak smile and a light blush of joy as she heard her friend say her name.
That was just the indication that she needed to know her friend was back to herself.
Applejack was the next to speak to Rainbow. However, AJ still kept her look and looked at Rainbow with eyes of sorrow.
'Rainbow, what happened to y'all?' Applejack continued, 'You look terrible...'
AJ's eyes transformed from a look of sorrow to a look of concern.
Rainbow's cyan coat went pale at that question she was asked. Of course she had to tell them the truth, anything that would possibly help her get from were she is now back to her normal life, back in the sky, cloud busting and relaxing as she fly through and sleeps on clouds.
'That... T-t-t thing.... did this to me... He wants to.. take my soul over so....' Rainbow paused a moment.
She was now staring at all of her friends intently with her large magenta eyes.
'He... he... he... wants to.... kill you... and destroy Equestria..'
All of her friends gasped at what they just heard. Their jaws dropped in horror of what might become of her friends and Equestria if this.... thing gets control of Rainbow Dash.
'B-B-B But how...? How?!' Rarity cried, still in her usual drama-queen voice.
Rainbows eyes looked directly into Rarities cold blue eyes, and into her very soul.
Her voice darkened in sadness as she was about to give her the answer she would dread hearing.
'By... using.... me as his host body....' A single tear swept down Dash's cheek.
Again all of their expressions turned to those of horror and fright.
'Rainbow are you saying....' Fluttershy softly mumbled.
'Yes.... he wants to kill me...' 'I.... don't want you all to see that happen.... as long as he's in me, you all are vulnerable to his attacks if he comes out...' Rainbow continued, 'I don't want to see that happen to you all. I want you to be and stay safe..'
Tears began sweeping out of the corners of Rainbows eyes as she was about to ask her dearest friends to do her one last favor.
'Twilight, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity.... I want you to do this for me... Don't refuse to do this for me... its something i want...'
All of her friends eyed her cautiously at what she was going to ask. 'What... what is it..?'
Rainbow took a deep breath.
'kill me...' 'I.... don't care how, but....'
Tears began to form in the corners of their eyes.
'But... but... Rainbow....' Fluttershy began.
'NO. No buts, Fluttershy. I don't want you or any of you to die, let alone Equestria.'
Rainbow reached out to hug Fluttershy through the bars of the cell.
Fluttershy put her hooves around Rainbows back, being careful not to reignite her pain from her wing joint.
Rainbow slowly rubbed her own mane and face into Fluttershy's as she caressed her back gently.
As they hugged each other about to say her goodbyes, Rainbow felt her internal pains reignite. The power of the evil within her was coming out again, to kill her and her friends....
'AGHHGGHHAAH!' Rainbow squealed out loud in agony as the pain became stronger and to the point were it got unbearable.
Fluttershy quickly repelled herself away from the cyan Pegasus as she watched her transform into the dark killer within her.
'NGH! Fluttershy.... RUN! PLEASE! PLEASE,PLEASE RUN!' Rainbow screamed through gritted teeth.
Fluttershy didn't hesitate to argue, she ran back towards her friends.
All of them quickly began to weep and tears flushed down their faces.
Blood began to pour out the side of Rainbow's lips and trickle down to the floor with a plop and splat.
Her eyes suddenly started to change colour from her lovely, heavenly magenta to a satanic blood red that gave her an insanely menacing appearance.
'He... hehehehe....Bleed.... FEEL THE PAIN!' The voice that was once Rainbow Dash's turned into an evil cackle that made her friends get a cold shiver down their spines.
Rainbow growled at her friends which was so horrific it made Rarity faint in terror.
He... hehehe... Hush... now,quiet, now.. its time to rest your sleepy head, its time to go to sleep...'
The soul that was once Rainbow's was suffocated with darkness and suffering.
She gave her friends a blood craved look, which admittingly made Twilight cringe as she stared at her with her blood-shot eyes. She stared at Twilight for a while before giving her a blood-toothed grin.
'Your Next!' She snarled.
Twilight's body froze, her eyes still fixed on the cyan Pegasus.
After the voice said those words, Rainbow's body collapsed to the ground, sucking all the life out of Rainbow as it happened.
Rainbow's body now lays on the cold, hard ground of the cell, not showing any signs of life.
Was she unconscious? Was she knocked out? Did all her energy get drained out of her, making her sleep?
Seconds later they could all see her breathing, she was breathing very slowly in pace and looked almost dead.
Her body was still a pale shade of cyan, her coat a blood-red dyed down her side and lips.
'Twilight! Help her!' Applejack yelled as she cried.
Twilight used her magic to unlock the cell door and rushed to Dash's unconscious body to help her.
The first thing Twilight did was take some bedding off the mattress on the prison bed and rip it to form a small bandage to apply pressure to Rainbow's wing joint. She was surely losing enough blood as it is. She had already lost one third by the time it had been cut off, now she was down to at least half her blood left.
'Come on, Rainbow, don't die on us! I want you to live!!' Twilight's face became a flow with tears as she attempted to bandage up her small, mangled wing joint.
'Rainbow! Can you hear me?! RAINBOW!' Applejack couldn't express what she was feeling right now.
Fluttershy had the same look plastered on her face as she cried.
She didn't want to lose her filly-hood friend, the one whom made it possible for her to get her cutie mark, the one who stood up for her at flight camp in Cloudsdale when she was being bullied.
All of the memories they had together were drifting one by one into her mind like they were being relived all over again.
Dash's breathing stopped.
Her body was getting colder very fast. She was near being ice-cold.
Fluttershy went to go assist her friends in reviving her friend.
If there was anypony who could make her wake up, it was Fluttershy's love and voice that couldn't be mistaken by her friend.
'Rainbow... Wake up... I need you.. Don't die...' Fluttershy's voice remained quiet and dormant.
Fluttershy could already feel the pain that was loss.
'RAINBOW! WAKE UP! WAKE UP! DON'T LEAVE ME!' Fluttershy raised her voice, in hope that it would go through her friends ears to her sleeping soul.
Twilight tried to use her magic to generate electricity into Dash's body hoping it would revive her.
The electricity came in a purple light jolting through Rainbow's insides, but didn't seem to do much.
Twilight searched for her pulse around her neck, but it remained dead.
She repeated the spell with a higher charge and felt for a pulse again, in the same spot.
She could feel a very low, and very faint pumping feeling. Her pulse was going a little bit faster.
Rainbow still stayed on the floor on her back, with no sign of life.
Fluttershy just wanted her friend back and immediately started to try and pump Dash's heart up again.
'Come on, Dashie! COME ON!' Her voice was starting to get more and more saddened by the minute.
'DON'T DIE ON ME DASHIE!!!'
Fluttershy started to pump at Dash's heart faster and faster, but it was no use.
She then tried to perform CPR. It had to work. It just had to!
Fluttershy pushed down Dash's nose gently, trapping air inside and started to blow air into Dash's mouth.
After a few tries Dashie's eyes slowly opened as she gave off a heavy groan, breathing for air.
Fluttershy wanted to grab her and pull her into a tight hug, but resisted for the lack of oxygen she was getting to her lungs.
All of her friends sighed in relief of having Rainbow Dash back.
Fluttershy instead gave her usual soft 'Yay'.
Rainbow, despite her pains, hugged Fluttershy and rubbed her head against hers with a tear in her eye, making its way down her cheek.
'Fluttershy...I won't leave you again! I PROMISE!'
Both Fluttershy and Rainbow cried together as they rubbed each others backs.
Applejack and Twilight joined the hug as they gave their revived friend a welcome back cuddle.
'RAINBOW! YOU SCARED THE HAY OUTA ME!' Applejack cried with joy
'ME TOO!' Twilight added.
Dash paused noticing that her wing was bandaged up.
'Twi? Whats this?' Dash asked with a confused look.
'I bandaged your wing while you were dead... You should be fine if you get it cleaned up.' 'Try not to injure yourself more than that demon already has.'
Twilight gave Rainbow a big grin followed by a squee.
Rainbow returned the smile.
'Twilight?' Dash began, 'We still need to find a way out of here, before the guards come for us and lock us all in with the lock down system.'
Twilight began to look worried. 'AH! You just reminded me that we can't get out that way to the left. The door is sealed shut and is at least 7 inches thick of titanium.'
'As for the A Sector, I don't know, but we need to check.'
'Sounds good to me.'
