CHAPTER 48
SLAVES?
Shining Armor dropped to the ground, he laid there sobbing. He couldn’t believe this news, where had she gone? He really wanted to know what was going on, he had no idea that it might get this serious. He regretted even stepping a hoof outside of Canterlot, now his wife was missing, and the great Shining Armor was broken down on the ground crying. He couldn’t take much of this anymore. He could remember the night before, when they had spent the whole night together. He thought to himself “Only if I could relive that night everyday.” He got up from the puddle of tears soaking into the ground, and said “Wolf Tongue, can you order all your men to follow me, and help me find Cadence. This mission is too important for me to go without her.” Wolf Tongue nodded, and turned to a few of his high class soldiers. When he turned back Shining Armor had disappeared out of plain site. “Shining Armor, where did you go?” Wolf Tongue looked around only to see the trail of hoof steps along the road leading around a corner. All of the changelings in the cages seemed to be freaking out about something. The sky turned pink, and kept on spreading, after the pink was done a big streak of blue followed it. What was this sorcery no pony had seen this before. What was going on with the heavens above? Cadence flew down from the sky to find a camp full of soldier bowing down to her as she landed nearby. “Where is Shining Armor, he and I have been separated for quite some time now. I need to see him now, I don’t have much time, we don’t have much time. There is a big force pushing it’s way through the Everfree forest. We need to act soon, take all of your forces over to the nearby changeling caves that we captured a few weeks ago. In there you will find a portal leading back to Canterlot, they will need your help. Where can I find him though, I found the others, and they are in some big trouble.” Wolf Tongue pointed her in the direction that Shining had gone. She picked up her pace in hope that she would catch up to him soon. Knowing him he was hoping to catch up to her too, so they were both running at the same speed. Cadence decided that it was a waste for her to run, and started to use her wings. She glided above him for quite a while yelling trying to get his attention toward her. He would constantly look around when she shouted, but would never know she was above him. One last final try “SHINING ARMOR, PLEASE STOP!!” He stopped in his tracks to look around. “Where are you, I’ve been looking for you for days. Where have you been?” She landed behind him, and said “Distant lands, I’ve found your sister and the others, and they are in a bad situation, we need to help them now!” They both started to run in the direction that Cadence had pointed out, and didn’t stop.
