//------------------------------// // Prologue - Nothing with a Mask // Story: Tainted Purity // by The Notebook //------------------------------// The dark depths of the bottomless trench seemed as endless as far as a naked eye could tell. No sight, just echoes of sunshine and a infinite walk to nowhere at all. Was this the date that had been dealt, if so Queen Entomilia Arachnea Chrysalis had been dealt the cheated hand. A cruel fate dealt by her high ups from the burning skies that had abandoned her. Left her to rot in Tartarus for all the life left in her. Her body was cracked and broken like a crushed bug, ironic that changelings had long since been extinct, yet were still called bug ponies, and vermin all around the outside world. Her and body were fixed though. Yes it was physically broken, but no longer was she covered in holes instead her true self showed through the outer shell of her. The armor and curse of duty was breaking. 3000 years as queen of the all things change, a lesser god like Celestia and Luna. The importance of any of the three were about as important as the fact of Discord being The Lord of destruction and chaos in general. His field covered it all, catastrophe, fights, war, pranks, and as she knew his least favorite, death cold shock from just that, death. The cold hard passing into the next reality, she hadn't been given that chance. She had let change its self die. If they wanted her to rot then so would the time lines. Her dying meant the end of negativity and creation, no not imagination, but sheer will to change things. That was her duty, keep the race that must live alive, yet it was impossible a entire race of 10,000 colonies each holding nearly 80 hives of 60,000 the sheer amount of love... It was impossible if they were unable to love themselves. If they were so impassive then how? HOW DID THEY DECIDE SHE WAS TO KEEP SO MANY ALIVE IF SHE COULD BARELY KEEP THE CURSE SHE LIVED WITH AT BAY SO HER RACE COULD BE FED! They had asked her to find a infinite food source? Where? Did they make one? No. Did they help her care for them? No. Had they yelled at her for trying to use ponies? YES! Finally a food source THEY NEEDED, NECESSITATED FOR, AND THEY TELL HER NO! It didn't help none of the ponies knew about it in the first place. Oh Celestia did. So did Luna, dear Luna, at one time she had tried so hard to defy her sisters deceitfulness on how she was hiding the dying race as killers of all emotion. That wasn't true. But time progressing into a time when she and Luna no longer ruled was not a thing she wanted. As care taker of the ponies why let them become impassive negatives instead of positives. She of course only came in after racial differences were settled on there own but still. Crrk! Crrk! Crrk! "Sso it'ss finally sstarting to come off?" Chrysalis said. To walk in here would be a travesty for broken armor, anyways curses were meant to leave to body when you entered Tartarus. By now that Twilight sparkle had had a assention , and her friends were most possibly dead. 400 years for a curse to break, and another 20 added to that for while it had crumbled and cracked... ready for removal. Feeling able to break the now heavy burden herself she began by bashing the accursed armor against the oblivion below her. Nothing was really there in Tartarus, that was foal knowledge. Just a endless expanse of emptiness. Yet the ground was solid enough. The carcass on her finally smashed and for the first time in over 3000 years her REAL hooves touched something. She began breaking it off piece, by piece, by piece. The broken shell fell down into the darkness, no noise, and no longer visable, likely it had turned to ash. Seeing as she had undone her body the new Chrysalis seemed to grin. What was left on her snout up and over her horn would do. Her brothers and sisters would soon see she was not to be messed with. Removing the "mask" that was left only for a split second Chrysalis did the impossible, summoning a way out. Putting back onto the mask. "Wait, You demon! I can't let you leave!" Yelled a voice, it was impassive of both gender and emotion other that it was really high pitched. "Null! Sso you came to ssee me." "I am not your sister serpent tongued," said the voice still genderless buta bit less high pitched as before. "Sso I developed a sslur over the yearss." Chrysalis called back a little bit offended. Opening the door out with a back hoof. "Stop Belizia spawn!" Null yelled as the pit shrunk around Chrysalis, trying to capture the queen of the extinct changeling race. "Ssisster Null I give you one chance to back away from me. You can't sstop my magic even with your capacity and level. I will only acknowledge you as innocent if you are if you back away now." Chrysalis warned them. "NEVER!" Null roared, the genderless voice letting out a single light fro above her. Ironic that the others called it divine judgement considering it was pink and not white. Removing the "mask" her horn didn't even light up as she raised the curse "mask" somehow it shot the thin beam sideways. Feline emeralds pierced even Null's darkness. The beam heading sideways. Inspecting the mask it had a small cut, Null you have improved, but you won't be able to stop me. "Null, dear do your ssisster a favor, go tell Ssygfrie I am wagging war on them ass (as) of now." Those were her final words as the Goddess of Change. Right then she became no one. Not a god or queen. Not a pony, or an alicorn. She was a no one and a nothing. Soon though. Soon she would be the one to change how it all flowed. Starting onto the earths. "No need. They already know." Growled a now angry female voice, it was the last noise that came for inside the hell that was on this earth. "Hello Ssygfrie. Celesste. Disscord. Luna. Nice to see you came to visit now that your damned curse is gone." Chrysalis said with a psychotic smile. To that she received three angry glares and one of pure amusement, that look never did leave brother Discord's face.
