~~~~~~ The Day Off When Feelings are Told ~~~~~~~
A few days after the night with Ditzy, Click was walking up the path leading to Sweet Apple Acres pulling a cart with two boxes, he spotted Applejack who was setting some baskets under some of her apple trees.
“Hey Applejack!” Click said as he waved at her undoing himself from the cart.
“Well howdy there Click, what brings ya to the farm?” Applejack asked as she looked at the cart.
“I finished those pictures you wanted Applejack.” Click smiled at her as he got one of the boxes onto his back.
“The pictures of the Family reunion?” Applejack asked.
“Yup, those are the ones I may have made more than needed I forgot to ask how many you needed.” Click smiled sheepishly.
“Thats alright Click ah sure this will do just fine sugercube. “Applejack said with a smile.
“I'll even help you get them in your house!” Click said as he started to walk to the house.
“Yer late for something Click??” Applejack as she caught up to him with a box of her own.
“Sorry I 'm just excited about meeting Ditzy later today at the park!” Click said with a blush on his face as he sets the box down in the house.
“Now ah see why yer in a rush.” Applejack said with a grin.
“W-well its just us hanging out and its not till later in the day.” Click said as he looked at the floor blushing.
“Ah was just teasin ya sugercube.” Applejack said as she smiled.
“I know I 'm just nervous... I want to tell her how I feel but we havn't known eachother long enough for me to just tell her. “ Click said as his ears fell against his head.
“Just give it time sugercube, there will be a time for it.” Applejack said with a reassuring smile.
“Well, I have plenty of time and atleast being around her I 'm happy!” Click said as he perked up some with a smile.
“Thats the spirt sugercube!” Applejack said.
“Enjoy the pictures Applejack, I 'm going to go get ready for the day!” Click said as he fastened himself back into his cart and pulled it off as Applejack waved.
As Click walked into his home he paced around in the living room and gazed at the wall of pictures now and then, but stopped as he stared at a certain one. The framed picture of Ditzy asleep under the moonlight, Click smiled to himself, he sat on the floor staring at the picture.
“I don't want to rush this, I have to give her time.” Click said to himself as he looked away from the picture.
“No sense on dwelling on that since its almost time for me to meet up with the mare herself.”Click said as he smiled .
Click wasted no time in taking a shower and getting ready, as he picked up his camera and his saddlebags. Trotting along in Ponyville towards the park, he looked up and saw the sun was above him as he made it to the park and sat down waiting.
“ I 'm only five minutes early, nothing to do but wait for Ditzy!” Click smiled as he looked around and waited.
He waited for a long time it seemed, minutes turned to hours as the hours pasted the sun started to set and still no Ditzy. This dishearten the pegasus he hung his head as he slowly started to leave.
“I-I 'm sure she h-has a good reason for not showing,...right?” Click asked himself as he slowly walked back to his home.
Around the time which was a bit pasted midnight Click was heading for be till he heard a knock at his door, as he thought to himself.
Who would be here at this time and in this cold weather? Click thought as he came to the door.
Needless to say he was shocked to find Ditzy standing at his door with her mane a mess, she was shivering while her eyes were on the verge of tearing over, she had a pleading look in her eyes.
“C-C-C-Click, I-I-I 'm s-s-s-so s-s-sorry!” Ditzy sniffled as a tear drew down her cheek.
“D-Ditzy?!?! “Click was beside her in a moment with his wing draped over her ushering her into his home.
“P-p-please d-d-don't be m-mad at m-me! I-I w-wa... “ Ditzy was stopped as Clicks hoof was gently placed on her lips.
“How about you go and make your self comfortable on the couch while I get you some hot tea?” Click smiled at the surprised mare who only nodded.
Ditzy made her way slowly into his living room and laid on the couch looking around his living room, then to the wall of pictures as she smiled. Her eyes stop on the one of her under the moon, she sniffled as a another tear went down her cheek.
“H-he really d-does care for m-me.”Ditzy said with a small smile.
“O-of course I care for you Ditzy, your a beautiful and smart mare.”Click smiled at her as the comment earned him a blush from her.
“I-I wasn't planning on to tell you this till later b-but I just want you to know.... I'll wait for you till you feel ready or if you even ever feel the same for me, even if you don't I hope that we can stay friends.” Click said to her with a small hopeful smile.
“W-wait for me?” Ditzy asked as she tilted her head some as she whipped away her tears some.
“Ditzy.....I-I know this a bit soon but from the moment I saw you that first day, I've......fallen for you.”Click looked away some with a deep blush across his face.
Ditzy placed a hoof on her lips as her eyes started to tear up some more after hearing him confess this to her. Click slowly looked back up towards her with a soft smile on his face.
“ I'll wait for you...all the time you need is yours.....I'll be here if you need a shoulder to lean on....I''ll be there if you need some pony to hear your troubles.....I'll be there for you Ditzy.” Click closed his eyes.
Just confessing his deepest feelings to the mare he was in love with, he was now staying true to his word and waited for her to react. Time seemed to go slow for Click till she softly spoke up.
“Y-You mean every word d-don't you C-Click?” Ditzy stared at him with tears streaming from her eyes.
“I do....every word Dit..” Click was cut off by Ditzy who tackled into him making him stumble a bit holding himself and the mare up who was silently crying into his mane.
Click softly wrapped a hoof around her neck and held her close, after a small while Ditzy finally calmed down before looking up to him with a small smile.
“I-I do need time Click, this is a bit sudden." Ditzy said as she wiped her tears away.
“I know Ditzy... I'll stay true to what I said and wait for you, I 'm not going anywhere” Click said with a small reassuring smile.
“ I 'm still sorry for not showing up at the park, I had to take over some pony's shift since they were injured.” Ditzy said as she looked at the floor.
“Well, I figured you had something like that, so don't be sad you were just taking up somepony's shift just shows how much of a nice pony you are Ditzy.” Click smiled at the mare.
“ So about that tea?” Click looked over at the cup on the counter of the kitchen.
“T-thank you Click....for t-the tea.” Ditzy said with a small blush.
The two ponies stayed up a while longer talking, and playing a few games. With Ditzy asleep on the couch Click came over and draped a blanket over her and smiled at the sleeping mare.
“I''ll be here for you Ditzy.... good night.” Click whispered to the sleeping mare as he made his way to his bedroom soon after falling asleep.
