   I walked around in the darkness nothing changed nothing ever does I looked around town square hopefully i can find food  there. I'm starving. I started with trashcans first one nothing edible same thing for four more cans. I started losing hope ,but i remembered what my friend Light Run would say "Never lose hope there is always a way" I started to doubt his saying there was no way out of my life unless... Suicide.
I turned my head right and seen another trash can in an alley. I started going over there hoping to find any single scrap food. When I reached the trashcan and opened it. Nothing literally nothing the can was empty. *sigh* Then I noticed a box next to it. A small shelter for when i need sleep. I opened it to make sure nothing was in it and i seen a orange filly in there.
Next thing i knew she woke up.
"Who are you" she asked still sleepy 
"I'm Star Gazer" she looked familiar like she was in my orphanage ,but she wasn't light run.  
"What are you doing here" 
and a question i can't really answer "Um... night watch" wait I seen her in class too. she was fully awake now 
"There is no night watch! what are you doing here?" 
*sigh* "I'm an... orphan I have no home I have no family i'm trying to make a living with the nothing I have okay" I started tearing up.
"Same here" she said so that explains why she was here.
"I know how you feel Star. c-can I call you star?"
"yes you can and I'm sorry for what you're going though."
"It's okay ,but don't tell anyone okay it's a secret nobody knows."
"Okay I won't just don't tell anyone about me. oh and can I sleep in that box with you or no?"
"No you can't that seems weird ya know?"
"no one will know and..." i pulled a blanket from my saddle bag "I have a blanket." she didn't have one. it was an offer that she couldn't refuse due to winter coming up.
"Okay only because it is cold as heck"
Barter my strong point never fails me.i got in the box after cleaning up my tears and put the blanket over both of us. Only one problem remained. Hunger.I didn't want to bother Scootaloo with it yet we just met.
"night" 
"night Star"


 
I closed my eyes and slowly fell into a deep dream about me and my friend light run when he left.
Me and light run were running in the back of the orphanage having a fun time playing with each other playing a game of tag
"Tag you're it Star" 
We were laughing "hey get back here Light"
i started chasing him with all my speed hoping to catch him. Then the head of the orphanage called light into the building. He obeyed and went inside. After a while he came back outside and told me he was leaving.
"ahh don't mess with me Light"
"No i'm being serious Star i'm leaving and not coming back"
I started to tear up "no you can't leave you're my best friend"
"I don't want to leave you,but i don't have a choice star i-i cant stay" light started to cry.
"i'll miss you" i said
"and i'll miss you"
then he left never to be seen again. i started crying my head off without yelling my best friend was gone forever. i'll miss you light run. I have to find him someday.
