//------------------------------// // Ch. 3 // Story: Equestrian Anti-Heat Forces // by Navras97 //------------------------------// It is 5:00 in the morning, every pony is currently asleep. Big Mac and the Pegasus guard were walking outside through the empty market plaza, the only sounds coming from their hoof steps and the repetitive tweeting of birds. The guard nudged Big Mac on the shoulder and pointed at something. "Do you see that?" asked the guard, pointing at a random house. "There, in the shadows" "I don't see anything... oh wait", Big Mac had no clue what he was talking about until he finally caught it. There was pony, an earth pony to be exact, hiding underneath the houses roof side extension sticking to the surface. The pony was dressed in a black jumpsuit and had a black utility belt and wore a mask only revealing his eyes, ears, mane, and tail. "That's one of the sources that I've been talking to you about, right now he's going to silently enter the house and evacuate the stallion resident in it". The guard motioned him and Big Mac to get closer and hide inside a bush to watch the agent pony do his work. Turns out the agent was using some adhesive gloves to stick himself to the surface of the roof. He spider crawled to the window and quietly knocked on it. The window slowly opened to reveal a light brown earth stallion with brown coat, mane, and blue eyes leaning out of it, curious of his strange visitor. The agent used his tail to silence the ponies' mouth before he said something loud enough. "The pony is going to follow the plan that was sent out to all royal guard so watch carefully." said the guard, motioning Big Mac again to move to another bush with a better angle. Big Mac took a better look at the brown stallion and recognized that face. "Is that Doctor Whooves? Since when does he actually own a house?" whispered Big Mac to the guard. "Correct" said the guard, watching the guard converse with the doctor. "According to our Intel, Doctor Whooves seems to have developed a close friendship with the mare of that house, Ditzy Doo. I can assume he was sleeping over at her house or maybe their friendship blossomed into something else. Regardless, it's imperative we get the doctor out of there before Ditzy Doo wakes up." "Why Doctor Whooves specifically?" Big Mac whispered. "Let me show you why," The guard rummaged through his left side saddle bag and took out another dossier, similar to his. He pulled out black and white pictures of the Doctor using his sonic screwdriver and solving some weird algorithms and math equations, Big Mac couldn't even begin to comprehend the sheer complexity of these math functions laid before him. "Doctor Whooves has a very intelligent mind that could be useful for planning out tactical teams by the time we need to evacuate stallions the HARD way. Not to mention his sonic screwdriver is an invaluable asset to the team here in Ponyville. We only have Me, this spy we're watching, and another troop in Ponyville right now that are grabbing the most strategically important stallions, like you Big Mac." The agent whispered in the doctors ear and motioned to something in the room. Whooves slowly went inside and came back out with his sonic screwdriver in hoof. The agent took the screwdriver and put it in his utility belt. The agent crawled inside and had a soft conversation with the brown stallion about their cause and the need for the doctor's help. The agent grabbed Whooves and jumped out of the window. Luckily they both safely landed by the agents solid legs absorbing the impact. The guard beside Big Mac emerged from the bush and gestured him to come out as well. The two approached the spy and the Doctor, the spy and guard give each other crisp salutes before easing off. "I see you've finished your part of the plan Corporal, how's the rest of us doing?" asked the gray stallion. The spy took off his head wear to fully reveal a large, stylish black slicked back mane, light brown coat, and brown eyes. His voice had a masculine and handsome tone behind it but also sounded like he was around Applejack's age. "Alright I suppose, they haven't contacted me yet so I assume they're still evacuating the priorities." the spy looked up at Big Mac, the farmer towering over him by a whole head. "can I assume that this is Big Macintosh?" "This is Big Mac, and this must be Doctor Whooves, the time travelling pony." he looked down at the doctor who was sitting on the ground and taking in the morning air, making dirt angels on the ground. "Who what- oh you mean me soldier?" Doctor Whooves got back up and straightened his tie, "Indeed, I am the infamous, intelligent, all-knowing, and one and only time-travelling Doctor Whooves! Now if only I had some choreography to go with that that could really- oh Big Mac, long time no see old chap you're looking tip-top I'll tell you." "Eeyup", said Big Mac, he could never get used to that accent that the Doctor has which he calls "British" accent. "I'm sure you know it's THAT time of the year again Doctor," Big Mac noted, the both shook hooves and held it, "and you know that this group they're talkin about is our best way of getting through the Heat unscathed." "Yeah... I know, of all the bloody times for it to happen, it had to happen earlier than I predicted. I almost choked from the stench of estrus when I leaned into Derpy" he walked over to the spy pony and gave him a pat on the back ,"Thank Celestia our friend here got me out before I was ambushed and rutted." Big Mac looked at the black jumpsuit unicorn and then looked at his own savior, "why aren't you wearing a black outfit like your comrade here?" The guard rubbed the back of his head, "there weren't enough tailored so I had to wear my traditional royal guard armor. Besides you were on the verge of having incest so stealth was a waste of time." Doctor Whooves eyes widened at this statement, "incest? Big Mac, don't tell me Applejack tried to..." Big Mac gave the bewildered doctor a slow nod, "she told me that it feels like the heat has a mind of it's own, that she can't even think rationally about what kind of stallion she set her sights on. Even if that pony is family the heat just takes over." "All the more reason to get you two out of here", says the spy, pulling his mask back on. "Agreed, we've spent too much time in the open," said the guard pony, looking up into the partly cloudy sky, "soon weather ponies will be up in the skies for cloud herding." The guard pointed towards Town Hall, "come on, into Town Hall, that's our established HQ area." Big Mac and Doctor Whooves didn't ask why there for a headquarters and galloped to the singular building in the open area. They enter the wide oval domed building with no sign of Mayor Mare or any other pony in sight. The guard goes through his saddle bag again and takes out some weird bronze colored mechanism. He tosses it to the spy pony, he caught it and slid his hoof into it, fitting perfectly. Another copy of the mechanism is also taken out and fixed on the guards right fore hoof. "Stay behind me you two," said the guard to his priorities, "Mayor Mare may be on vacation but there is still a chance some pony could still be awake." The guard went back into the bag and also took about 2 metal boxes and handed one to the spy. The spy attached the box to the mechanism with a crisp "click" and pointed it behind the Doctor and farmer. The guard did the same, Doctor Whooves eyebrows cocked and stared at the odd contraption on the guards hoof. "Is that... a firearm?" asked Whooves, the guard looked back at him, surprised. "Yes... how did you know that...?" the spy asked back. "In my old world, firearms were used very commonly by military. Guards held firearms in public ready to end someone- er uh, some PONIES life as a reminder to always obey the government and behave or else." the Doctor stared at the firearm as they maneuvered through the halls, harsh memories flashing in his brain. Big Mac could swear he could see something well up in the doctor's eyes, "so much power... the power to change the tides of war... the power to make an instant lasting impression... the power of gods, it's something that should have never been discovered." Whatever a firearm is, Big Mac thought, it doesn't sound too good they way he puts it. Before Big Mac could ask what the military guys were really wearing on their arms, they suddenly spotted a mare in town hall as they cut a corner. Big Mac looked at the pink coat and green maned earth pony, and confirmed that it was Daisy. Daisy was looking through the stacks of paper behind her for a requisition form. Daisy turned around and saw the stallions, "oh! Hello there, no pony besides me is usually here this early. I'm only here to find the mayor for a contract but I can't find her" she started trotting to the guard, " hey Mr. Guard, do you know where-" "FREEZE!" yelled the spy and guard, they glued their firearms sights on Daisy, getting in front of Big Mac and Whooves. Daisy looked terrified not by the weird contraptions they're pointing at her but the angry expression on her accusers faces. She started to tremble, and backed away from the hostile stallions. "W-w-w-what did I d-do wrong?? A-am I not supposed to here? I-I'm sorry if I'm trespassing b-but the door was u-unlocked so I-I thought..." Daisy said through her near-hyperventilating lungs. "Just stay right where you are! Don't move an inch or we'll blast you!" The guard bellowed to the trembling mare. Big Mac got in front of the guard in protest, seeing only a defenseless lady cower in confusion. "Now hold on just a minute, she's doing nobody harm, so just leave her be." Big Mac said. he turned back to Daisy, and put a hoof on her shoulder. "Now it's alright, I won't let them hurt ya" he helped the frightened mare up, holding her hoof in his. Looks like Big Mac's chivalrous ways are cutting through his shy personality towards mares, Doctor Whooves thought Daisy looked at Big Mac with her spring green eyes, feeling reassured she hugged him, "Thank you Big Mac, I-" She stopped in her tracks after taking a small whiff of her nose. Suddenly she felt incredibly aroused as she took larger whiffs of the buff red stallion's natural musk. "What is it Daisy, is there-" Big Mac stopped as well after smelling a huge surge of estrus resonating from Daisy. He let go of the flower mare and slowly walked away from her. Daisy gazed at Big Mac with a very obvious lustful look in her eyes as she slowly approached Big Mac, "is something... the matter big stud? Was I too forceful with my embrace... let me try... again... just for YOU!!" she leaped out at Big Mac, who thought of nothing but the end. Suddenly he heard two loud "CRACKS" behind him and the air in front of the heated Daisy exploded twice. She was shot back into the stacks of papers, sending them raining down on the lady. Big Mac stumbled and fell down on his flanks, catching his breath. "Oh dear..." said Whooves, shoving himself through the spy and guard to check on the disoriented Daisy. He checked her body for wounds and put his ear to her chest for a heartbeat. There was no wounds, a fast beating heart rate slowly descending, Daisy eyes were in loops as she tried to gather herself. "She's not dead... how?" Whooves asked, never more surprised in his entire life. "Concussive explosive rounds", said the spy, picking something out of his utility compartments. A tiny white oval shaped pellet was taken out, as big as a grain of rice. The spy threw the pellet at a wall hard, causing the pellet to detonate and making the room rumble for a fraction of a second. "About the force of an Apple pony bucking their hind legs at your face" he said as he watched Big Mac get back up. The guard walked over to the mare and took out a small light orange ball from his saddle pack. He yanked open Daisy's mouth and placed the ball in between her teeth. He closed her mouth with the ball still in her teeth and forced her jaw to clamp down. There was soft muffled "poof" from her mouth as she gasped for air taking in whatever the ball exploded into. There was an orange gas she coughed and breathed in the rest of it. She started blinking heavily and slowly before her head settled down, snoring softly. Big Mac figured whatever that ball was, it knocked Daisy out counting sheep. "Knockout gas... light concussive explosives... you're trying to SUBDUE the mares not kill them, thank Celestia..." Doctor Whooves said, looking at Daisy sleeping in the stacks of papers. "We would never ever want to do more than just knock a heated mare out", said the guard, closing his saddle bag, "that is in every way sick and deplorable treatment. Subduing them is the most safest way to ensure stallion safety and a few others virginity." "She's going to be out for 24 hours," said the spy, "but I don't have anything to restrain her with so let's pray to Celestia that she'll not notice the headquarter's secret entrance." The guard led the rest of the group to a door that had a sign labeled "RESTRICTED AREA, DO NOT ENTER" in bold red letters. "Genius, no pony would EVER suspect anything from here" said Whooves, fixing his tie. His sarcasm dug into the military stallions' backsides. The guard knocked on the door, a mechanical monotone voice erupted from an intercom speaker, "PASSWORD" "Open the damn door... brony" said the guard. ".....ACCEPTED", answered the guard. Doc and big Mac were unsure which part of phrase was the password or the whole thing was. The door creaked open with a deep whine, cold air rushed through the opening, blowing through the stallions' manes. Before them was a long stairway, which they proceeded to travel down further underground. Periodically, the doctor could spot black half sphere cameras as they trotted downwards. After about a minute of stairs they were finally met with some pony. It was another royal guard, this time it was a navy blue coated unicorn. Behind him was a thick titanium door with several bolts and a large opening valve wheel. The spy and guard stood in front of the unicorn and gave perfectly synced salutes, the unicorn guard returned the pose. "1st Lieutenant Ironsword and Incognito, how did your assignment go?" he eased off, the two ponies eased off as well. Apparently Big Mac's retriever was the pony called Ironsword and the other named Incognito. Ironsword stepped forward, "As you can see Major Marks, me and Incognito successfully retrieved and escorted civilian Big Macintosh of the Apple family and Doctor Whooves as requested. We did not come into contact with Private Redshot so we must assume he is still carrying out his assignment." "I see then..." said the Major, he turned towards Incognito, "has Private Redshot contacted you lately Lieutenant?" The spy pony shook his head, "no sir, I attempted to call him but didn't answer back, he must be maintaining radio silence at the moment." "Alright then, Incognito, head back out into the field and rendezvous with the Private, his Pony-of-interest is valuable factor that can't be left out. It's currently 6:30 am and some mares could be getting up by now. Reinforcements won't arrive until 12:00 so stay low but move fast. Get moving!" Marks pointed at the stairway, Incognito gallops up back out into what will soon be Heat Hell. Marks turns to Ironsword, "Move that mare as far away from Town Hall as possible and when you're done come back here and open up the underground entrances." Ironsword saluted, "yes sir!" and flew back into the stairway to grab Daisy. The Major turned to Big Mac and the Doctor, staring back at the unicorn guard. "Will you two join us in this fight?" the unicorn asked us, lingering on our answer. "Eeyup" responded Big Mac, shaking the Major's hoof. "I will," responded Whooves, "...as long as I'm not required to do the actual fighting. It's been months since I did something that was for the sake of my life. Fighting back horny mares... in every way it sounds so bad... yet so bloody good... hey wait a minute my sonic screwdriver! Damn it that Incognito pony still has it!" he stares at his right hoof, missing it's constant extension. "We'll wait for Incognito to return, he'll give it back then. Besides, your sonic screwdriver could be very useful to him. Our other priority is the baby dragon Spike." stated Marks, charging his horn to cast a spell. "I'm going to show you everything I know about Spike the best way I can, and why we need him so much." A flicker of light began to emerge from his horn, soon it was on the wall in front of him the shape of a rectangle. Big Mac and Doctor Whooves watched as the poor quality blurs began to focus, revealing it to be Spike, sending letters. Except of doing it the regular earth pony way, he torches the parchment, causing it to be reduced to some green gaseous form. The scene dims to poor focus, the colors transition to another scene. The colored blur focuses to a scene of Princess Celestia on her throne, suddenly the same letter appears right in front of her, regaining it's former solid form. "I see... so Spike can send letters to Princess Celestia instantly" commented Whooves, "... amazing things magic can do eh Big Mac?" "Eeyup" Big Mac one-lined. The light presentation fades from Major Marks' horn, slightly out of breath. "Do you think every letter Spike sends HAVE to go to Princess Celestia?" "Uh... nope?" responded Big Mac, slightly more confused than Whooves. "Our... "sources" ...made recordings of Spike's abilities when Spike thought he was getting a medical examination. According to our Intel, Spike CAN willingly send letters to whatever or whoever he wants. And-" "Wait... I have a question..." interrupted Whooves. "What is it?" "Why do you need Spike's instant letter sending capabilities when you have radios?" asked Whooves, looking a bit dumbfounded. "Good question Doctor," Major Marks sat down to recuperate from the spell casting, "it's because since Ponyville is the most intense area for the season, Shining Armor wants messages constantly flowing back and forth holding calls for supply drops and orders. Our radios cannot extend all the way to Canterlot so Spike's messages will be crucial for reaching Canterlot. Other reasons include Spike's lack of a masculine musk for being a baby, great for up-close stealth missions. He also has a small form which allows him to crawl through air ducts and other tight spaces. He's our best link to where mares would be situated the most around and where hiding stallions are located." "Never mind then, thank you Major." Whooves nodded in approval. "Don't you think we should go inside now?" asked Big Mac. Marks nodded, "right, enough standing around, you need to meet the crew." Marks unlocked the locks with a magic shaped key while Big Mac spun the wheel around, unsealing the door. The door strong enough for a bank vault moans and screeches as Marks pushes the door open. As Big Mac and Doctor Whooves, they lean their necks over the railing to get a view of the whole operation stretched out before them. They could fit the whole population of Ponyville in here, and have more than plenty of space to let them keep the non-essentials. The doctor and farmer stared wordlessly at this whole underground town before them. Marks stands with them, admiring the view. "Let's get you up to speed then."
