We set up the race to start in clouds dale. We readied ourselves, we managed to get a decent crowd around the finish/starting line. "so, how many sonic Rainbooms have you done?" I asked her, she looked up, "you know about that?" She questioned, "Yeah, why wouldn't I?" I asked her back, "well you weren't here when I did that. and if you were why hadn't you shown up before?"  she said, "Your right for one thing, no I wasn't there, but let's just say I know things." I told her, she shrugged. We both readied our wings for flight, The pony with the flag prepared to wave it, "go!" The pony cried as she waved the flag, me and dash blasted from atop of the cloud and began our race, I got ahead of her, she caught up, I doubled my speed, she did the same, we were neck and neck, I felt the air resistance building. Then a large explosion, actually two of them me and Dash both broke the sound barrier at once, the explosion boosted us even farther and faster, I left a streak behind me while Dash had her Rainbow trail. The race ended up being a tie. "That was so awesome! we both did a sonic Rainboom!" Dash exclaimed, "Actually you did a Rainboom, I just broke the sound barrier, well it was my version of a Rainboom." I said to Dash. "Who cares!? all I know is that it was awesome, c'mon I'll buy you a drink to celebrate." She said, "That'd be nice, thanks Dash."
We landed in the town, almost right away Pinkie Pie bounced up in front of us, "Did you guys just do a double Rainboom? Cause I just saw two rainbows, at the same time!" Pinkie asked, "I guess we did, wow I actually had a rainbow trail behind me?" I asked them, "Yeah, it was really cool, c'mon I'll get you guys some cupcakes." Pinkie said. So me, Dash and, Pinkie all walked down to Sugar-cube corner. we met up with Applejack, "Did y'all see that sonic Rainboom? there was two of 'em!" Applejack said, "Yeah Dash, and Collin both did it!" Pinkie said, "Wow you two sure can fly!" Applejack said, "Thanks Applejack." I said, so the four of us continued until we met up with Rarity, Fluttershy, and Twilight. "Hey you guys! did you see the Rainboom?" Twilight asked us, "You bet we did, well I know I did, but Collin and Dash Both pulled it off at the same time creating a double Rainboom!" Pinkie exclaimed, "Wow Collin, you're getting really good and, yeah..." Fluttershy said quietly. "Don't be shy Fluttershy it's alright, I'd love to hear your opinion" I said trying to comfort her, "Oh, well in that case, I really think you're becoming one of the best flyers in Equestria, Almost as good as Rainbow Dash!" Fluttershy said, "Yeah you got a ways to go before you can be as good as me!" Dash said, "Oh really? well let's practice some more tomorrow then." I replied, "Sure, that'd be fun, besides I had nothing planned tomorrow." Dash said, "True, but we do have the party in 4 days." I said to Dash, "Yeah, but we can still practice until then!" Dash said, before I could respond she took my by the hand and went full tilt upwards, "How are you at reacting?" She asked as we ascended, "Good I guess?" I said, She suddenly let go, I automatically unfolded my wings and took after her, She was increasing her speed as I did, I started to gain ground on her, she suddenly banked right, I followed her with ease, she started to do tricks to shake me off, each of them failed as I started to gain ground. she started to go full tilt as did I, as I closed in she did yet a second Rainboom, I did my Rainboom right behind that, It Quadrupled my speed causing me to purge forward as such speeds I blacked out. 
I woke up to find Nurse Red heart standing there, "Oh good you're awake." she said, she trotted out of the room, Dash, Twilight, Rarity, and Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie stepped into the room. Applejack came in right behind them with a  basket of apples. "You have no Idea what happened do you Hun?" Applejack questioned, "I'd have to say, no I have no idea what happened after the Rainboom." I said. The ponies all exchanged a glance, "Well you went so fast, that you blacked out, you're lucky to be alive actually, if Dash hadn't of saved you, well you might not of made it, luckily Fluttershy was there, otherwise you'd both of been hospitalized." Nurse Red Heart said as she strode in with a tray, The train had a series of needles, and bandages on it. "What's that for?" I asked the nurse, "Well we need to make sure your not overly poisoned, you landed in a pit of poison needles." She said as she poked the needle into my forearm, "How did you know where to stick that needle?" I asked the nurse, we merely studied your body, no need to worry." She said in a calm voice. I was worried more or less how they studied my body. after a couple hours in the hospital the nurse came back, the others left but Dash decided to stay for a bit. The Nurse dropped off some food and left, "I'm so sorry..." Dash said quietly, I looked at her, "Sorry for what Dash?" I asked her, "It's all my fault you got hurt, if I hadn't of pushed so hard, maybe you wouldn't be in the hospital." She said. I grabbed her and held her in my arms for a moment she just stood there, she returned the embrace, we we're there for a bit, she crawled up onto the bed. She fell asleep after 10 minutes, I put the blankets over her, I slid down into the chair and slept there.
I awoke next morning, I found Dash still sleeping, I went and took a shower, I put on my Regular clothes, I checked my watch. Perfect it's the day of the party and everypony's been looking after me. I cursed, I heard Dash waking up in the next room, I shook her gently "Dash c'mon we got to go, the Party is today." I said as I adjusted my coat. I attempted to spread my wings, a large jolt of pain spread through my wings, I clutched my chest. "You okay?" Dash asked, "no, I'm hurt, I can't use my wings." I said, "I'm surprised you can even unfold them!" Dash Said, "After the fall you took they should've been cut off, but we decided to see if they'd heal themselves, or if you could use your magic." Dash explained, "Well, I hadn't thought of using magic, might as well give it a shot!" I said. I focused my energy, I felt the pain go away slowly, It took 5 minutes to finish healing the wings, but It was finally done. I was about to walk out of the room until I got stopped by the Nurse, "You're not leaving yet sir, sorry you need to rest for another day." the nurse said. "I can't stay I have plans today!" I said with an elevated voice, "Well if you won't listen to me, listen to them." The nurse said as Princess Celestia and, Princess Luna walked into the room.
I bowed, Rainbow immediately bowed as well, the nurse stepped aside. "Collin, you need to rest, I won't make you stay if you don't want to, but I am going to restrict you from flying for a week if you choose not to rest for a couple of days." Celestia said. I pondered the thought, went through the variables, thought of the consequences, "I will go, but I will not fly for a week as your tell me to do so." I said to the princess, "You're lucky to still be here, you took an immense dosage of poison in that fall, if Rainbow dash hadn't of spotted where you landed, we may of lost you." Luna said. I looked at the princess, "Yes, I do owe it to Dash here, are you two still going to make the party tonight?" I asked them, "Of course we're going to come, after all you invited us, and it's not every day we're invited to a party." Celestia explained. we talked for another half hour, I had to walk to the party, Dash said she'd walk with me, the others did as well.
"oh, my I don't usually attend party's is my mane okay? did I dress to casual?" Fluttershy said. One thing I always loved about her, her shyness made her unique, she was well Fluttershy.
We all arrived at the Party around 9:00 PM Equestrian Time, We approached the entrance an we're blocked off by Two rather large Stallions, "Are...you, on the list?" The Right stallion asked. Before I could speak Fleur De Lis Pushed them aside, "Why Hello, I see you made it, and these are your guests I presume?" Fleur said, "Yes these 6 are with me, and I also have two other very important guests coming, I'll wait for them out here." I said to Fleur. She nodded and headed inside with the others.
I waited outside for about 5 minutes, then a carriage rolled up on the road, there were gasps as Celestia, and Luna exited the carriage, I walked up to them, most of the crowd bowed and a lot of them gasped at the fact I approached the Princess's so casually. "Shall we?" I asked the mares. They nodded and we headed back to the entrance, the two guards parted immediately. As we entered the room everything went silent aside from a couple of gasps, "Princess Celestia? Princess Luna?" said a voice from amongst the crowd. We looked to the side and saw Fleur De Lis approaching us, She bowed and said "Are these your guests Collin?" I looked at her, "Yes, these are two of my eight guests that I brought, where are the other six of them?" I asked Fleur. So the four of us continued until we found Twilight, Rarity, Dash, Fluttershy, Applejack, and Pinkie at a table. A good 5 minutes passed before everyone got over the fact that royalty was present at this party. "So how are your wings Collin?" Celestia asked. Before I spoke Fleur Piped up, "What happened to his wings?" She was defiantly concerned. Before anyone else spoke up Dash said, "Me and him we're training, and it got a little messy towards the end." The table grew a little quiet, "My wings are fine, don't worry about me, let's just enjoy our party alright?" I said. The rest of the evening was better, I danced with all eight of them and had the privilege of keeping Fluttershy from hiding under the table, I helped her become a little less shy, but in the end she was still shy as ever. Celestia and Luna we're able to enjoy themselves, the guests treated them with great respect, but allowed them to be treated rather normally, rather than royalty, most of the ponies would treat them as a very highly thought of guest. Fleur asked me to dance as well, I accepted the offer, if it hadn't been for her the party would never have happened for us. At the end of the party we all enjoyed the goodbyes from the many guests, Celestia and Luna said they would be the last to leave, for it would only be proper, I hushed them all along, I told everypony I had invited and Fleur, that I would see the closing of the event. with some protest they all finally agreed to leave, everypony aside from Dash, "I won't leave your side until your wing is fully healed and you can fly again." Dash said. I was touched, the fact that I could ever have a friend as good as Dash made me incredibly happy. A minute passed and Twilight, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Apple Jack, And Fluttershy all walked in, "We'll stay will you too Sugar cube." Said Applejack, "Yes, we can't leave a friend all alone after all." Rarity added, Again I was touched, to have friends that would always be by my side, that I could count on to be with me through the tough times. I truly had the best friends anyone could ever ask for. 
A few days had passed by, I was three days out until I would be allowed to fly again. the three days allowed me to practice my magical skills with Twilight. Even though my magical abilities were incredible, I still couldn't do some of the basics, such as levitation or even flipping a page in a book. "Okay the first thing you need is concentration, now concentrate on flipping this page." Said Twilight, I looked at the book, I focused on the page, then it started to slowly flip over. "That's it you're doing great!" Twilight exclaimed. Finally the page turned over and set down. I looked at Twilight she was smiling, "Good work, now read that page and we can move on." She said with the grin on her face, she trotted away humming a tune that I could've sworn was the Theme song.  "So do you have anything planned for tomorrow?" Asked Twilight. I looked at her, "No was going to come back here and practise with you some more." I replied, "Well you could stay here, at the library if you'd like save you the trip back and forth." She offered, I thought about it, Twilight was a boom worm but it might be interesting to be able to chat with her and possibly learn more advanced spells. "I guess that'd be fun, I'll head home and grab some clothes." I said, I started to walk towards the door, "Wait! Why don't you try using magic?" She said. I thought for a moment, Am I able to do that, would I have the ability? "Well I guess it couldn't hurt to try." I replied. I focused my energy I thought of what I was going to accomplish, a few minutes passed before anything began to happen, then The room flashed in a bright light and I found myself now wearing some more Casual morning like clothes. "Well, I guess I did it!" I said grinning, "Good work, it only took about five minutes! but you managed to get it right on the first try, good work!" Twilight exclaimed. We practised for another hour and a half before we decided to hit the hay."Well we got a lot of practise in today, I can't wait for tomorrow!" Twilight said with a giggle. I was glad she was happy, I was also glad I'd be able to fly again soon, even though back on earth I would have to walk or drive everywhere flying gave me  a sense of freedom, where I had little bounds and it made traveling a lot easier, still I would walk if I wasn't with Dash or Fluttershy.
We awoke the next day and decided it would be good to go and get something to eat before we started our studies for the day, "So where should we go?" Twilight asked, "I honestly don't know Twilight, you know Ponyville better than I do." I replied, "Well Sugar cube corner is usually serving pancakes and cupcakes in the morning." Twilight said. We had decided to go there, being as it would probably be the best place to go and grab something to eat. After eating breakfast we headed to the payment area, Twilight began to look for some coins, "no no, I'll pay for it Twilight." I said, taking out my wallet I took out some Equestrian Coins and paid for the meal. "You know I could have paid for that right?" Twilight said, "Yes, but you invited me into your home, so it's only fair that I return that gesture with another kind gesture." I replied. She agreed that this was a fair choice.

We arrived back at the library around 10:00 Am Equestrian time. "So, what are we doing today?" I asked Twilight, "Well, I was hoping instead of doing lessons that we could put our magical abilities to work today, Princess Celestia requested me to go to Canterlot today and I couldn't get the others to help and I would have asked earlier but I forgot with all of our studying." Twilight said, "Well why not, I could help you if you need it Twilight, let's go." I said, "Excellent, let me go get Spike and some things and we can be off." Twilight and I headed off after an hour of preparation, Twilight made sure she was ready for almost anything that may of awaited us. We boarded one of the flying carriages that Celestia sent for us.
We arrived in Canterlot shortly after, We headed to Twilights old house, Twilight had said that Celestia had left a package there and wanted us to go and get it before heading to the Castle.

Upon arrival at the castle Twilight and I walked up the steps to find the guards waiting for us, they admitted us into the castle and we found Celestia on her throne, "Twilight, Collin I'm so glad you could make it." Celestia said. "Thank you princess, But why have you summoned us here?" Twilight said as she bowed. "Well my Faithful Student, It's Luna's birthday! and I had you go get her present." Said Celestia as she gestured to the package we had picked up earlier. "Oh, How wonderful I'm sure she'll appreciate the gift Princess!" Twilight said smiling. 
We started the walk to the main hall where everyone was waiting. Celestia looked at me, "Collin can you go and get Luna from her chambers?" She asked, "why of course!" I said as I started to walk down the hall. I stopped, "Wait where are her chambers?" I asked quizzingly. Celestia giggled and gave me directions to her chambers I thanked her and started the walk. 
I arrived at her chambers a couple minutes later, I opened the door to find her crying into her pillow, "Luna? what's wrong?" I said as I approached her. She wiped the tears from her face, "Oh, don't worry Collin I'm fine it's just I..." She said her voice fading off, she slunk back into the bedding and started to cry again, I crawled up onto her bed and immediately fell off, "Gah!" I cried out as I fell. Luna stopped crying and burst out into laughter, I gathered myself up and dusted myself off looked at Luna for a second, she gathered herself up, "So what did you come to visit me for on this lovely Equestrian day?" She asked me, "Well I was hoping we could go for  a walk today." I said to Luna. Her facial expression changed a bit, she seemed depressed, even though I probably knew why I asked anyways. "What's wrong Luna? why are you so sad today?" She looked at me and met my gaze, "Well, it's just that my sister forgot my birthday, and no one else even knows my birth date, so I almost never get any presents from anypony but her." Luna said with a  sigh. "Well then how about I take you out for lunch? I'll even pay for you! consider it a gift from me." I said, she gave me a quick hug, I returned the gesture and we walked out into the hallway and walked towards the Main Hall.
