All Skylanders stood on the battlements as they watched in shock as the Golem of the Deep, the very monster that was defeated by Spyro and Cynder, returns. They were equally shocked at the very sight of it, even its jaw has regenerated. They now had to take action to stop the Golem from reaching the castle. Spyro asked Rainbow Dash,

"Can you and Legendary Spyro distract it long enough for us to attack?"

Rainbow Dash replied, "Sure, we can."

Legendary Spyro said, "We keep it busy, so you guys can get prepared." As the duo left to keep it distracted, Spyro turned into Mega Ram Spyro and said,

"Now listen up, we have to prevent that monster from reaching the castle. When we get to it: Hit it with everything you got. But don't lose your focus, We can win this battle together!"

Spike replied, "All Dragon Skylanders carrying an EQG, form up on me. We'll attack it head-on!"

Boomer hopped onto Dark Spike's back, "Dark Spike and I will bring the BOOM on that Golem from above!"

EQG Twilight said, "Defeating that thing is going to be tough!"

Spyro replied, "Cynder and I defeated it before and we will do it again!"

Whirlwind, now sporting a golden helmet and underbelly armor said to EQG Rainbow Dash, "Got the new armor that the smiths made?"

EQG Rainbow Dash replied, "Yeah, and everyone of us got it. So lets take this thing down!"

Bash spoke to Flashwing, "I'm going to strike that thing's head and make it feel pain. I need you and EQG Rarity to act as the delivery person."

Flashwing grabbed Bash and said, "Anything to kill that Golem."

Prism Break shouted, "Those who are on the ground, come with me."

Wash Buckler said, "Swap Force and Giants, we'll join Prism Break and attack the Golem from the ground." Every Skylander left as the inhabitants cheered them on to kill the Golem.

The Golem of the Deep was having a hard time trying to swat some annoying flies out of the sky. Those 'annoying flies' are Legendary Spyro and Rainbow Dash distracting the Golem as the Skylanders arrived the battle-zone. 

After that, the Golem breathed fire at the two, but it missed. The Giants struck at the Golem's spider like legs. Crusher swung his hammer at one of its legs which caused the creature to try and step on the Earth Giant. Swarm shot his blades at the Golem's face as it tried to snatch the Giant out of the air. The Golem tried to grab Eye-Brawl, but his eye detached and shot its lasers at the Golem's hand. 

As for the Swap Force, Blast Zone and Stink Bomb swapped into Stink Zone and Blast Bomb. Stink Zone moved in from of the Golem's tail and maneuvered as the Golem intentionally tried to whack Stink Zone with its tail. Stink Zone picked up Blast Bomb until the Golem grabbed both of them as the Golem looked at Blast Bomb's bottom until the Skylander unleashed the mist which blinded the Golem temporarily and releasing the two in the process. Blast Bomb threw a bomb at the Golem as it struggled with its sight. As soon as it regained its sight, it tried to smash them, but the two got away.

The Golem roared in frustration and began moving as the Skylanders continued attacking. Spike and the Dragon Skylanders with their EQG riders attacked the Golem's vulnerable points at its right hand because it had the most crystals on it. The attack was going well until they were intercepted by a bunch of Grublin Wyverns. The Dragon Skylanders dealt with the Wyverns while their EQG riders focused their blades on the Golem's hands. EQG Twilight and Spike moved into position as they fired on the Golem's hand. The Dragon and its Rider evaded a near whack from the Golem.

Bash, Flashwing and EQG Rarity were speeding towards the Golem as Bash said,

"Now, drop me!" Flashwing released Bash as he curled into a ball and thanks to Flashwing, his speed was great enough that he bashed through the Golem's head and out through the mouth.

Bash landed on and ground as he got the Golem's attention as it slammed its hand on the ground, trying to kill Bash until it was distracted by Flashwing's crystal lighthouse and EQG Rarity's crystals that she fires from her sword. The Golem would lower itself, giving it an opening for Bash to attack the hand. Slobber Tooth joined in the fray on the Golem's hand until a bunch of Shadow Apes attacked Slobber Tooth. Bash saw that Slobber Tooth was injured and decided to get him out of there.

Stealth Elf and Chop Chop were fighting back to back as wave after wave of Grublins came as the Golem progressed. Chop Chop used his twin swords to cut down the Grublins as Stealth Elf used her ninja skills along with her new suit to take down each Grublin until she was caught off-guard by a Shadow Ape and injured by it. Chop Chop saw what happened and picked Stealth Elf up as he cut his way through the Grublins to get her to safety.

Stink Bomb, Dark Spyro, Wash Buckler and Blast Zone were holding off the Grublins, but were not stopping the Golem from progressing until Legendary Spike flew in while holding Eruptor as the magma blob said,

"LAVA BARF ERUPTOR!!!!" 

Lava Barf Eruptor barfed Lava on the Golem as the creature got angry as a dark crystal in its head sparked. It let out a fist which caused Legendary Spike to block the impact with his wing as both he and Eruptor were knocked out of the sky.

Dark Spyro watched his companions go down until he noticed Legendary Rarity magically grab Legendary Spike. Blast Zone grabbed the falling Eruptor, and Wash Buckler told him to join up with the others. But that left them open by an attack by two Shadow Apes, the attack by the Shadow Apes injured Wash Buckler and Blast Zone which made Dark Spyro's horns grow as he yelled,

"DARK MEGA RAM SPYRO!!!!" Dark Mega Ram Spyro rammed the Shadow Apes that attacked Wash Buckler and Blast Zone. He told Stink Bomb,

"We have to get them to safety. An attack by a Shadow Ape can be deadly."

Stink Bomb replied, "Then we better not leave them here." Dark Spyro and Stink Bomb grabbed their injured friends and went to safety.

 Meanwhile in an observation center, Kaos was seeing the battle that is unfolding before his eyes. He heard stories of that embodiment of Destruction, but never seen it in real life.

"Incredible, This Ancient Earth Golem is causing so much destruction of that Island!"

Kaos' Mother appeared on a nearby screen, "Well, it was resurrected by Malefor himself. The Dark Dragon which you freed I suppose."

Kaos replied, "Mother, Malefor's return was a cooperation effort by me and Hektore, sadly he isn't here to see this." He zoomed in to see what is battling the Golem and saw the shape of a Purple and Green Dragon carrying a Rider,

"A Skylander.....and is that a purple colored human?" He looked closer at the symbol that the rider had and realized, "A humanized version of that annoying unicorn, Twilight Sparkle!?"

Kaos' Mother asked, "This Twilight is someone you know?"

Kaos replied, "Of course, Mother. These pathetic ponies teamed up with those annoying Skylanders and defeated me, twice already!!!"

Kaos' Mother realized, "Then you should try harder to stop them when the time comes." She asked, "What happened to Glumshanks?"

Kaos looked at a picture of his butler, "He's still mad at me for falsely blaming him for the Evilizer getting wrecked again." 

As the Skylanders pulled out their injured friends, Dark Spyro felt Stealth Elf as Chop Chop set her down. He pulled his paw away as he said,

"Petrified Darkness. Stealth Elf, Slobber Tooth, Wash Buckler and Blast Zone are infected with Petrified Darkness."

Chop Chop asked, "Are you sure?" 

Dark Spyro said, "Its not something you forget." At that moment, they saw their four friends change their skin pigment, Slobber Tooth and Blast Zone's Armor turns Black and Silver. They regained consciousness as Dark Spyro said,

"You might feel a little bit dizzy, but the Shadow Apes infected you with Petrified Darkness. But it can be easily controlled."

Dark Wash Buckler said, "Thanks. Maybe we can use our Dark forms against the Golem."

Dark Blast Zone replied, "Its a great idea."

Dark Stealth Elf said, "Those Shadow Apes infected us, but we can stab them in the back."

Dark Slobber Tooth replied, "Lets destroy that Golem."

Dark Mega Ram Spyro yelled, "DARK FORCE, MOVE OUT!!"

The Dark Force and the other Skylanders moved back to the Battle-zone and moved in to attack the Golem. 

 In the skies above the Golem, Whirlwind and EQG Rainbow Dash were doing all they can to stop the Golem from progressing any further. EQG Rainbow Dash told Whirlwind,

"It's heading for the upper part of the island."

Whirlwind replied, "The inhabitants are sheltered there in the castle. We can let it get any further unless...." She realized, "Of course, The Illuminator!"

All Dragon Skylanders carrying and EQG formed around Whirlwind as Spyro asked, "What's the Illuminator?"

Whirlwind replied, "It's my gift to the Ice Elves at the Cloud Break Islands. I gave them the Illuminator to give to light an eternal darkness, the Ice Elves also see it as a source of courage. If I can use the Illuminator to blind the Golem, it will give them a chance to fight without fear and we can stop this thing."

EQG Spike asked while on Spyro's back, "Can you use it when you are far from the Cloud Break Islands?"

Whirlwind replied, "If I want to use it, its power will seek me, like a beacon."

Flashwing said, "Then do it." Whirlwind and her EQG rider felt a surge of Rainbow energy formed over them as Whirlwind said,

"In this time of need, I request the power of the Illuminator! Blind this beast and give my friends the will to fight harder!"

Whirlwind exploded in rainbows as a beam of light came out of nowhere and struck the monster, temporarily blinding it while every Skylander fighting the Golem felt a surge of courage and vigor from the Illuminator. They began to fight harder and push through the Grublins guarding the creature. The attacked the Golem directly, catching it off-guard as it was shaking off the effects. Spyro said,

"Now lets stop this thing or else it will destroy everything!"

 Boomer and Dark Spike were over the Golem as Boomer had an idea. Boomer said,

"Dive towards the Golem's head and I will drop a bomb directly on top of it." 

Dark Spike smiled, "So now we are going dive bombing."

Dark Spike dived towards the Golem's head at a very fast motion until the creature found out what they were up to. But as it tried to attack, Boomer dropped a bomb in the Golem's mouth as it exploded. But the Golem's head still remained as it roared in anger. Somehow the Golem missed Dark Spike when it retaliated with a whack, but it knocked Spike out as both him and EQG Twilight were in freefall. Boomer noticed Rarity summoning a crystal pillar to boost herself up and magically grab the falling dragon. Dark Spike looked at EQG Twilight as she was caught by Voodood, in the same bridal style before the defense of the castle. 

 Voodood caught EQG Twilight, breaking her fall in the process. He looked at the Golem's hand that was close enough for a ground attack. He had an idea,

"EQG Twilight, we must take it down together. The weakness is the dark crystal in the head. But the hand must be attacked first."

EQG Twilight asked, "Are we going to tell the others that the crystal is exposed after we expose it?"

Voodood nodded as they got to the Golem's hand. They attacked the hand which angered the creature who was about to smash them until a dark fire bomb to the head interrupted it. Dark Blast Zone appeared and said,

"Give it all you got, the Dark Force has your backs." Dark Mega Ram Spyro approached the two along with Dark Slobber Tooth, Dark Ninja Stealth Elf and Dark Wash Buckler, "We'll help you finish this thing off once and for all. And now we have the courage to do so, thanks to the Illuminator back at the Cloud Break Islands."

As the Dark Force kept the Golem busy, Voodood and EQG Twilight managed to run across the beast's arm and evade all the counters that it tried to throw at it. Once they reached the top of its head, EQG Twilight and Voodood drove their weapons into the Golem's head and chipped off a piece of its head revealing the brain crystal. Voodood and EQG Twilight jumped off of the creature as Voodood said,

"Crystal Brain is exposed, time for the others to tear that thing apart."

EQG Twilight placed her hand on the Orc's shoulder and said, "Voodood, if we don't survive past its destruction..." Voodood raised an eyebrow on what she was about to say. EQG Twilight admitted,

"I just wanted you to know.......I LOVE YOU, VOODOOD!"

The Orc smiled and said in third person, "Voodood loves you, too."

 After seeing the signal, all Skylanders directed their fire on the exposed brain crystal on top of the Golem's head. The Catapults back at the castle opened fire at the Golem's head as the creature roared with pain. As soon as the crystal was destroyed, the Golem screeched one final time and collapsed dead. All Skylanders gathered around the dead Golem to see that it was truly dead, it showed no signs of getting up. They began to cheer that they have finally won the battle and began to count any Skylanders that were injured. 

That's when the Skylanders turned their attention to EQG Twilight and Voodood, who were now locking lips with each other. Some of the Skyanders went 'aawwww' at that romantic scene and the others were practically cheering. EQG Rainbow Dash said,

"I guess she found someone she actually likes."

Spyro replied, "When you bring two universes together: A girl from one universe would fall for a Guy from another."

EQG Rainbow Dash stated, "At least, Voodood is better than that other guy, Brad."

Pop Fizz walked up, "Brad, AKA Flash Sentry was a temporary ally back during the Soul Gem Conflict. But we never saw him again after Tree Rex fought him to defend EQG Twilight."

Tree Rex said, "By the way I defended her, I'm kind of like a father figure to her."

Voodood and EQG Twilight released until they noticed that their friends were watching. They backed away and blushed until Legendary Spike said,

"You don't have to hide it. We saw the whole thing." 

 At the victory celebration, all Skylanders, Variants and EQGs were being honored as heroes for defending the island against the Dark Armies and the Golem of the Deep. The Capybara King came to the Skylanders and their allies and spoke in his own language as a Warfang Translator said,

"He is saying that, 'We are grateful for your efforts, Skylanders. If it wasn't for you, we wouldn't be standing here today. You and your new allies are now honored as heroes along with the Mabu and Warfang Soldiers who risked everything to protect this castle. You have my eternal gratitude.' That was what he was saying."

Spyro stepped forward along with the others and said, "That's what Skylanders do when there is trouble."

Flynn came up, who was now wearing crutches, "Well, what about the ship? Should we repair it?"

The Capybara King spoke again and his Translator said, "We will be honored to have our mechanics repair the ship. And judging by your condition, you can't repair it yourself."

 After hours of repairs on the Dread-Yacht, it was fully repaired and the big gun on the Dread-Yacht was improved with technology from the Dragon Catapults, that the Warfang soldiers used. As the fully repaired Dread-Yacht lifted off, Wash Buckler and Blast Zone along with their Dark Variants waved bye to the Mabu soldiers as they set a course for the Dragon City in Avalar. As the two Dark Swap Force Skylanders left, Wash Buckler asked,

"Do you get the feeling that we are short one Swap Force Skylander and one Core Skylander?"

Blast Zone asked, "I noticed it."

Free Ranger approached, "We are missing one Air Swap Force Skylander and one Core Skylander."

Rattle Shake bounced over, "But who?" They began to think it over until Night Shift and Freeze Blade approached. Night Shift said,

"I think we know who we are missing." 

Wash Buckler asked, "Who are we missing?"

Freeze Blade's eyes widen, "Of course...Boom Jet and Scratch. We are missing Boom Jet and Scratch."

Blast Zone replied, "Boom Jet and Scratch landed in Equestria, but where?"

EQG Pinkie Pie and Skylander Pinkie Pie approached as EQG Pinkie said, "Oh, a sneak peak for the next chapter for the discovery of Boom Jet and Scratch!"

Skylander Pinkie held up a green check, "Check!"

Stink Bomb approached, "Guys, its just Pinkies being Pinkies. That's what Twilight told me."

Wash Buckler replied, "We'll leave them to themselves."
