 Ever since the arrival of their EQG Allies, the Skylanders have been taking care of them, so they can feel relaxed before they can set off in another fight. Some EQGs had a nice bonding moment with the Skylanders, but the most bizarre bonding moment between an EQG and a Skylander came from the Equestrian Isles in Skylands. Master Eon went there to check up on the EQGs and the Skylanders when he noticed that since the EQGs arrived, EQG Twilight and Tree Rex were never separated from each other. He saw EQG Twilight on Tree Rex's shoulder as he carried her throughout the Isles.

Master Eon met up with the two as he said, "Tree Rex, I was on my way here to check up on EQG Twilight and the other three that are here. But I believe you and EQG Twilight have developed a friendship."

Tree Rex replied, "Well, it was a long story. But it happened during the Great Battle of the EQG Universe."

EQG Twilight remembered, "Sunset Shimmer had both, the Crown of Magic and Legendary Spike's Soul Gem until Skylander Spike contacted you to send every Skylander. Tree Rex appeared right beside me and protected me from a hypnotized Flash Sentry. He was like an unstoppable Guardian protecting me and defeating Sunset Shimmer's Grublin Army." Her face frowned, "Then Sunset Shimmer used a fireball on the Giants, Tree Rex went down, the fireball blew his legs off during the battle."

Tree Rex finished, "I was charred, covered in ash, and limping towards EQG Twilight. I had to give her Twilight's Crown of Magic for her to use against Sunset Shimmer because I believe in that the EQG Mane 6 could help Spike in defeating Sunset Shimmer."

Master Eon replied, "You are her friend for protecting her and giving her the encouragement to help Spike defeat Sunset Shimmer."

Tree Rex said, "It was a good thing, I did and because of me, Sunset Shimmer got Spiked and Harmonized." Eon didn't say anything until EQG Twilight said,

"He was telling a joke." Master Eon nodded, "Well, I guess. Have you seen the other three around here?"

Tree Rex replied, "The others are near the castle in Starswirl. They might still be there, Gnarly Tree Rex went with them."

When Master Eon went to the castle, he found Gnarly Tree Rex with EQGs Rarity, Spike, and Rainbow Dash. Gnarly Tree Rex noticed him and said,

"Master Eon, what brings you to the Equestrian Isles?"

The Alicorn replied, "I was just checking up on our EQG Allies and I see that they are doing quite well."

EQG Rarity said, "This place is amazing, Master Eon. Its so glamorous."

EQG Spike spoke, "The whole city is cool, but who rules the Equestrian Isles."

Master Eon replied, "The castle belongs to Princess Celestia and Princess Luna's mother, but the inhabitants call her 'Queen Fausticorn." 

EQG Rainbow Dash asked, "When do we go get the call to action?"

Master Eon said, "In time." Until a voice yelled, "MASTER EON, MASTER EON!!! WE HAVE AN EMERGENCY!!" He turned around and saw his Mabu Scholar running up to him frightened.

"Hugo, What is the emergency?" Hugo panted, "We got a message from Cali, she wants the Skylanders and our EQG Allies onboard the Dread-Yacht immediately! She is going to explain the rest onboard the ship."

Master Eon said to the EQGs and Gnarly Tree Rex, "Inform the others and head for the Dread-Yacht, I'll head back to Equestria to inform the rest." He turned to Hugo, "Hugo, go with them."

Hugo replied, "Okay, Master Eon."

Soon every Skylander was called to the Dread-Yacht to hear what Cali has to say. Most Skylanders were confused because it was on a short notice. They met her in the game room as she began, "The Capybara King was about to give a speech to his subjects. But it was cut short by an invasion by Malefor's army, his Mabu soldiers managed to hold them off, but their scouts noticed siege engines and know that it will be only a matter of time before they send them in."

Cynder said, "The Capybara King's soldiers won't hold out against an invasion, they need to send word to Dragon City for reinforcements!"

Cali replied, "They already sent the message and the moles of Warfang have already began fortifying the castle with Dragon Catapults and Heavy Granite walls."

Granite Crusher said, "It would be a while before they bust through. Granite is possibly the toughest type of stone to use."

Cali said, "Thank you, Granite Crusher. Anyway, The Commander of the Dragon City platoon contacted us to assist."

Spyro asked, "Who is their commander?" 

Cali replied, "Its a War Veteran named Mason."

Cynder remembered that mole, "Mason identified the chain that held Spyro and I together."

Tree Rex asked, "He is a friend of yours?"

Spyro answered, "Mason told us about the gates to the ruins of Warfang."

EQG Twilight asked, "Are we going to be part of the defense force?"

Cali replied, "You are, but because of how your elemental blades emerge when you come into contact with a Dragon Skylander, all seven of you will be paired up with a Dragon Skylander. But during the battle, don't be afraid to switch to another Dragon Skylander to switch your blades' powers."

EQG Twilight asked the others, "Do you think that we will do fine with the dragons that rescued us?" Her friends nodded as EQG Spike said,

"We were brought to the Isles by these Dragon Skylanders and we will fight side-by-side with them."

Cali said, "Then it is settled, I'll tell Flynn to set a course for..." She was interrupted when the game room door opened and the familiar shape of a Changeling entered the game room along with Flynn as he said,

"By the way, guys. You have a visitor."

Everyone in the room stood in shock as to how a Changeling decided to arrive in a peaceful manner, until it spoke,

"I am not here to attack you. I came here under a banner of peace, I don't work for the queen, I am an independent Changeling."

Spike asked, "Why are you not here to attack us?"

The Changeling replied, "Because Spike, I have discovered what I was meant to do."

Spike asked, "How did you know my name?"

The Changeling told a story, "In the aftermath of the Wedding Incident, Princess Celestia found me curled up in a plant. I was a small Changeling at the time, she decided to take me in and raise me as her son. She named me, Raymond, but she called me Ray for short. She spent time caring for me for a while, I was there when the Summer Sun Festival occurred when Bash became a pony. But as much as it was, it couldn't last forever. In the weeks, I've grown and now wanted to find out who I am. So, I told Celestia that I need to go away for a while to find my destiny. She gave me a couple a things for my trip and soon I set out for parts unknown."

Spike said, "You're my secret adopted brother?" Ray nodded as Twilight asked, "What happened on your journey?"

Ray replied, "When I set out, I travelled through the Everfree forest and found my way into the badlands. That's when I found my way into the Changeling hives and met Queen Chrysalis, but it wasn't what I was expecting. Changelings feed on love, but I don't do any of that stuff. I determined that my destiny did not lie in the Changeling hives, so I moved on. Throughout my travels, I came across mysterious pieces, top halves and bottom halves of, from what I expected, the Swap Force Skylanders, along with non-swappable Core Skylanders trapped in statue form. I found nine frozen Core Skylanders and five Swap Force Skylanders."

Wash Buckler asked, "Did you revive them?" 

Ray replied, "I set up camp in a big field, I was looking up at Aunt Luna's night sky when I decided to revive them. I assembled each Skylander and they all moved in perfect formation. After reviving them, I told them about the search for myself until Trap Shadow, one of the Swappable Skylanders told me to look at the stars. I followed his advice and realized what he was saying. The stars above me formed into the Undead symbol, I found myself that night."

Rainbow Dash asked, "Are you saying?"

Ray said, "I think its time for me to join the Skylanders."

Twilight asked Pop Fizz, "You have that Skylanders Serum that Eon gave you?"

Pop Fizz replied, "Yeah, I do. But Ray, what happened to the Skylanders you freed?" At that moment, the door opened again and fourteen Skylanders entered the game room. There was a Fire Rhino, a dinosaur, a white bear shaman, a fire girl, a tree like creature with a bumblebee gun, a scorpion-like creature, a big beetle with a magic staff, a robot with spinning hand blades, and a Gill-Girl who is skilled in an Electric crossbow. Gill Grunt said to his former recruit,

"Punk Shock, nice to see you again."

Punk Shock replied, "Good to see you, too."

There were four Swap Force Skylanders, there is a spy with mechanical spider legs, a Gorilla who likes to drill, a shadowy figure, most likely Trap Shadow, an Earth Golem with drills for feet, and an Earth Knight like being.

Ray introduced, "This is Fryno, Slobber Tooth, Zoo Lou, Smolderdash, Bumble Blast, Scorp, Dune Bug, Wind-Up and Punk Shock. They are the Core Skylanders I found. The Swap Force guys beside me are Spy-Rise, Grilla Drilla, Trap Shadow, Rubble Rouser and Doom Stone."

Magna Charge said, "I can't believe you found these guys. But I can believe it."

Pop Fizz gave Ray the Skylanders Serum as the Changeling said, "This is it." He drank the serum down until his wings buzzed into gear and lifted him into the air. He soon erupted into ghosts and landed back on his hooves. He opened his eyes and asked,

"Did it work?" Grilla Drilla replied, "It worked, buddy. You are a Skylander of the Undead Element."

Ray now felt determined, "I heard about your mission to defend the Capybara King, so I'm going with you."

Trap Shadow said, "We'll be coming with you guys as well."

Spike said, "Cali, Tell Flynn to set a course for the Capybara King's Island. We have to defend his castle." 

Upon arriving at the Capybara King's Island, Flynn saw a battle being waged between the moles of Warfang, the Capybara King's Mabu Soldiers and the Grublin Army. Flynn called the game room,

"Uh, this is your captain speaking, I have good news and bad news. The Good news is we have reached our destination. The Bad news is that there is a battle going on. So I think all Skylanders should come to the main deck."

After all Skylanders made it to the main deck, they took a look at the battlefield and noticed Mabu Soldiers getting overwhelmed by Grublins before being saved by the Warfang mole soldiers. But the Skylanders turned their attention to a bunch of Mabu soldiers surrounded by Grublins as they shouted,

"Someone, help us!"

Trap Shadow pointed, "Guys, look!"

Ray looked at the trapped soldiers, "They need our help." 

Cynder looked at the battlefield and noticed a number of Mabu and Warfang soldiers getting surrounded, despite how well the Warfang soldiers fought. She had an idea,

"We should split up one half will go assist the Mabu and Warfang Soldiers while the other half rescues those trapped Mabu Soldiers."

Spyro replied, "That's a good idea. We should take the EQGs to rescue the Mabu Soldiers."

Tree Rex stepped in, "The Swap Force, the Giants and any other Skylanders would assist the Mabu and Warfang Soldiers on the other end of the battlefield."

EQG Rainbow Dash asked, "We are actually being sent into battle?"

Whirlwind replied, "We came here to defend these people and right now the seven of you should, too."

EQG Twilight asked, "Should I stand up to my fear of those things?"

Spike replied, "As long as we are united, you can stand up to your fear."

EQG Pinkie Pie shouted from Sunburn's back, "Then lets take these meanies down!"

EQG Rarity sat on Flashwing's back, "Like you would say, 'Its our time to shine."

Flashwing replied, "We stick together no matter what and just keep shining through."

Spike asked EQG Twilight, "Ready to go to battle?"

EQG Twilight replied, "There is no more time to waste." Spike turned to Ray, "Ray, you're with us. We might need your help to free those soldiers."

The Changeling stretched his wings, "I better put my new powers to the test." Flynn told the Skylanders,

"I'll swing around and drop off Team 1. Good luck on rescuing those Mabu Soldiers."

Flynn swung his ship around and reached the Mabu Soldiers surrounded by Grublins. Team 1 took off for the trapped soldiers.

The Mabu soldiers were trying to hold off those Grublins, but they are too many of them. They would've nearly finished the soldiers off until an explosion consumed their attackers. One soldier got out of cover and looked up,

"Men, the Skylanders are here! I repeat, the Skylanders are here!"

Another Soldier replied, "Nearly had us, but they were able to help out." The Dragon Skylanders landed and the soldiers saw that they had new allies. Spyro asked,

"How is everyone holding up?" The Mabu Captain replied, "We have only a few scrapes and burns, but nothing serious. Those Warfang soldiers taught us well about fighting."

Cynder asked, "Where is Commander Mason?"

The Captain replied, "He went with a unit to help more trapped soldiers. But the bulk of the horde will reach here and he told us that we need to fall back to the castle."

EQG Rainbow Dash looked away and said, "We got company!" Her Air Swords appeared in her hands. They saw multiple squads of grublins coming their way. The EQGs sprang out their Elemental Swords and prepared for battle. 

As the grublins appeared from the ground right near them from where they were, all seven EQGs were side-by-side with their Dragon Companions. All Grublins had their Dark Crystal Launchers on the seven EQGs, but as they fired, something strange happened. The EQGs were maneuvering better than before, they have turned into really agile fighters. It was probably their connection with the Dragon Skylanders plus their Elemental Swords which caused them to fight like this.

But as far as the EQGs were going through, some of the Dragon Skylanders began feeling strange, Spyro got consumed by a purple magic as he began to think,

"What's going on? Is this a new power?" His question was answered when he the magic faded, revealing that his horns grew into ram horns, he yelled,

"MEGA RAM SPYRO!!" He charged at the Grublin army knocking them away or off the island. 

Ray decided to use his new powers as his eyes began to glow gray instead of his original blue. He slammed his bug hooves into the ground and multiple Grublins staggered away from the group as they grasped their heads in pain. Ray disappeared into the ground as he left dark claws in his wake, spreading at his enemies. He reappeared and ground-pounded the Grublins.

Cynder and EQG Fluttershy were amazed on what Ray did with his newfound powers. Until Cynder started to act strange as EQG Fluttershy's Undead Sword started growing more powerful. Cynder began to glow a more dark purple color and yell,

"PHANTOM CYNDER!!" She unleashed her Undead powers combined with her uncommon abilities against her adversaries as half of her powers surged through EQG Fluttershy's Undead Sword while her Life Sword was holding off the Grublins.

Whirlwind and EQG Rainbow Dash were in the skies shooting down a bunch of Grublin Wyverns. EQG Rainbow Dash's Air Swords became more powerful as Whirlwind's eyes emitted a Rainbow color and yelled,

"HORN BLAST WHIRLWIND!!"

Flashwing and EQG Rarity were being cautious on where their enemies approach until both the Gem Dragon's wings and the Earth Swords began to glow. Flashwing yelled,

"LIGHTCORE FLASHWING!!!"

After dealing with the Grublins, Mega Ram Spyro returned to normal and said,

"I don't know what that was about, but we should signal Flynn for a pick-up."

Spyro fired a Fire Blast into the air and the Dread-Yacht arrived....until this happened. Spyro saw the Dread-Yacht being surrounded by Grublin Wyverns and yelled,

"Flynn, abort pick-up and get outta there!!" Flynn yelled back, "I can't there's too many of them!" The Dread-Yacht's engines exploded as the dinghy took off piloted by Cali and the others. Flynn yelled, 

"The others are away, but its too late for me. My engine's out, I'm going down!"

Spyro yelled, "FLYNN!!!!!!!!!"

EQG Twilight yelled angrily, "Those Wyverns are going to pay for what they did to him!"

EQG Rainbow Dash joined, "When I get my hands on those Wyverns, I'll make them pay!"

Spike looked at the sad sight as they watched the Dread-Yacht crash with its Captain on board. He told EQG Twilight, who managed to calm down, 

"We should get these soldiers to safety to inform the others that....Flynn is down."

The Mabu captain said, "We need to get back to the castle." After getting the soldiers to safety, they set out to find the rest of their fellow Skylanders and get them to the castle. They were still sad over the loss of their friend. But they would have time to mourn him later, they now began to find their fellow Skylanders and help them get to the castle. 

 On the other Skylanders' end, they were managing to hold off enough Grublins so that the soldiers could fall back. 

Camo was having a good time with protecting the soldiers until something caught his eye. When Camo turned to Fluttershy, he saw her about to be attacked by a Grublin Hero Orc. He had an angry look in his eyes as his front horns began to glow. He thought,

"A new power? I could use it to help Fluttershy." Camo's horns combined into two large thorn horns as he yelled,

"THORN HORN CAMO!!!!"

He charged forward at the Hero Orc and stuck his horns into the ground. After that, a big Thorn Patch grew right underneath the creature, killing it in the process. Fluttershy noticed Camo's new Thorn Horns and said,

"Oh my, You have new horns." 

Camo replied, "Its a new power, but I think its a temporary power." Just as he said it, his Thorn Horns reverted back to his original six yellow horns. He slapped his tail on the ground and sprouted more exploding melons. 

Voodood was surrounded by Grublins with no hope of escape unless he fought, which he was doing half of the battle. So he swung his Axe Reaver and used his Zip line Axe to cut down many Grublins in his path. When he came to its ending, he saw the carnage he left in his wake,

"Voodood is really powerful to take Grublins." He spoke to himself in third person.

Chop Chop was doing his best to cut down many Grublins in his path. He tried all his best until he came in contact with a Grublin Orc Axe man. When he tried to fight it off, it swung its axe at Chop Chop's shield, throwing it out of his grip and off of the island. Stealth Elf saw that her friend was in trouble so she decided to sneak her way to the Grublin. She turned into a raging tiger along the way and charged the Grublin away from the Arkeyan. Stealth Elf helped Chop Chop up, handed him a second sword and said,

"I found this in Arkus. I thought it would come in handy."

Chop Chop nodded, "Thank you, Stealth Elf." They soon stood side by side as they fought their ruthless foes. Chop Chop is now wielding two swords and immediately cut down most of the Grublins including a Grublin Troll. Stealth Elf used her special move and charged the Grublins over the edge.

The Dragon Skylanders and the EQGs arrived at their friends' location and Spyro said,

"Guys, we're falling back to the castle. They will be sending in their war machines soon."

Rainbow Dash said, "Okay, but we saw what happened to Flynn." All Skylanders lowered their heads in silence over their friend's loss, unknowingly that a Grublin Orc Bowman is attempting to get the jump on them. Until the creature was cut down by a simple crowbar, that loud clang from the crowbar caught their attention. They looked and saw a wounded pilot carrying nothing but a crowbar in his hand. His flight uniform was torn and damaged until Spike realized,

"Flynn! You're Alive!?"

Flynn barely managed to talk, "Well, bits of me are alive. But I managed to crash land the ship safely. Although the crash wounded me badly."

He was about to fall over until he was caught by EQGs Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. EQG Twilight said,

"Spyro, Flynn is badly injured, we have to get back to the castle and get him to a medic."

Spyro replied, "But we better hurry, the Towers are closing in."

As they began their trek back to the castle, the defending Skylanders defended EQG Fluttershy and EQG Rainbow Dash as they carried Flynn. While the offending Skylanders fended off the attacking Grublins and escorted them to the castle. The Siege Towers started to open fire on their position. Spyro yelled,

"The towers spotted us, they're opening fire!! Run for the castle, HURRY!!!"

They all ran for the castle until EQG Twilight tripped, without a Dragon Skylander near her, she was powerless as one cannonball was heading towards her. EQG Applejack yelled,

"TWILIGHT!!!" She couldn't run with the possibility of getting caught in the shockwave until suddenly, Voodood swung the Axe Reaver at the Cannonball, boomeranging it back to the siege tower, destroying it in the process. The Ooga Orc picked EQG Twilight up bridal style and set her in the castle as the defense of the castle began.

 Spyro came up to the Warfang Mole Commander, 

"Commander Mason, You were expecting us?"

Mason replied, "Spyro, its good to see you again. We are in a dangerous situation, those siege engines are on their way here. We need two Skylanders to man two of the four catapults in order to destroy the towers."

Sprocket entered the conversation, "I'm good with Tech, especially Warfang weaponry."

Drill Sergeant joined, "I am good with weaponry similar to some of the weapons I used before shutdown."

Spyro ordered, "Sprocket, Drill Sergeant, you two are on the catapults. Give them a hard time."

Mason pointed to the battlements, "We need your crew to defend those catapults against incoming attacks by any Grublins who attempt to destroy them. Those Catapults are our only chance against those Siege Towers."

Spyro nodded, "Good, but I have a wounded pilot who needs medical treatment."

Mason replied, "We'll see to it that he is treated well."

 As the Defense of the Capybara King's castle began, All Skylanders, Variants and EQGs stood on the battlements waiting for the first wave. They all exchanged nods and winks before the first wave arrived. Commander Mason yelled,

"The first wave of Siege Engines are here! Skylanders, you must defend the catapults!"

Each group were positioned at the four catapults for protection while their gunners fire the catapults. Sprocket and Drill Sergeant were manning two of the catapults while a Mabu Engineer manned the third catapult. As the towers came into range, the catapults began to fire on the towers. The catapults managed to score direct hits until the Grublins started to attack the catapults. The Skylanders managed to defeat the attackers while the Tech Skylanders repaired the catapults. 

The second wave arrived with a battering ram. Commander Mason yelled,

"Catapults, focus your fire on the Battering Ram!"

Sprocket was about to fire until she didn't hear a shaking feeling. She turned to her companions and said,

"Guys, I'm out of ammunition. Help me reload!"

EQG Spike pulled the lever to reload the catapult and Sprocket fired on the Battering Ram. She took some solid hits on it, but it was still moving towards them.

Drill Sergeant hit the Battering Ram, but it was still coming. They had to keep the pressure on it. The Arkeyan Robot found a weakness as it was almost to the wall, "I found a weakness in its armor. A well-placed shot could destroy it. Help me reload one more time."

Terrafin and Applejack helped Drill Sergeant reload as he fired his shot at the front of the Battering Ram. It erupted in flames as the others saw what was happening, so they shot at the front. Commander Mason saw the Grublins react as he yelled,

"The Grublins are retreating. We have won this fight!" 

 That night after the battle, Voodood was standing at the battlements looking at the destroyed Battering Ram in confusion. EQG Twilight approached him standing right beside him, looking around for moment until she said,

"Thanks for saving me from that cannonball."

Voodood nodded as his response and continued looking at the Battering Ram. EQG Twilight asked,

"Is there something troubling you?"

Voodood spoke in third person, "Voodood is confused on why the Grublins retreated when they were so close to breaching the castle. Why would they retreat?"

EQG Twilight held his hand as they turned to each other. Voodood noticed a shooting star streak across the sky as he looked in her eyes. She said,

"Maybe they decided to give up and go home." She smiled and closed her eyes until Spyro, Cynder, Spike and Sparx appeared, ruining their moment. Spyro said,

"Not Grublins, they only fall back when they have an ace up their sleeve." They didn't seem to notice that Voodood and EQG Twilight found out that they were holding hands, so they quickly released and blushed slightly. Spike asked,

"What makes you so sure that they have an ace up their sleeve?"

Cynder pointed, "Because they're bringing in something familiar. Look!" The group saw what was approaching them as Sparx began to say while frightened,

"Hush...little baby....Don't say a word. Mama's gonna buy you....a big monster wants to kill me."

The creature emerged with its spider-like legs, a tail and an all too familiar shape as Spyro said,

"No, It can't be! We killed that thing back at Warfang!"

Spike asked, "What is that thing!?"

Cynder replied, "That's the Ancient Earth Golem, Spyro and I defeated back during the war!"
