C1: Trapped

Chapter 1: Trapped
(On Top of The Crystal palace)

“The Heart... Where's the Crystal–” Said Twilight encased in a dark crystal chamber
 “Here! It rolled over to me when you dropped it!" Said Spike with his claws tucked away.

 “Don't move!” said Twilight warning him not to get close

“You can move, just not toward me!” Said Twilight to fix her error in what she had just said before ‘How could I have been so foolish? I was just so eager to get it!’ she thought out loud.  ‘Then when I saw what was going on outside, I-" as Twilight was speaking she noticed a flash behind her When she turned around, she saw King Sombra behind her.

"My Queen" he said as he moved closer to her.

Twilight looked around to find a way out of her crystal chamber but to no avail she was stuck there and just sighed and said “Spike take the crystal heart and go to Cadence. I can handle myself.” Said Twilight as King Sombra moved closer to her

“But–” said Spike trying to protest

“ Spike, go!” yelled Twilight while charging her horn as Sombra moved even closer

After Twilight yelled at him, Spike started to jump down the dark crystal that had formed up the castle yelling to let the others know of what is happening.“My Queen what’s wrong it looks like you saw a ghost” said Sombra moving closer to Twilight.

"Stay back, all I see is a tyrant trying to steal back his kingdom." Yelled Twilight

 "My... No Twilight what happened to you, where are your wings?" Asked Sombra

“WHAT I never had wings and the only thing that has happened to me is that I am being held by a tyrant." Said Twilight

As Sombra looked into the eyes of the pony he loved and they had no look of love for him, just a new pony. He moved closer to kiss her and see if that will bring his beloved back to him but only to be stopped by a bright flash and pink fur blocking his path.

"You will not touch her." Hissed Cadence

“And who are you to stop me?” Sombra hissed back

“I am Princess Cadence of the Crystal Empire and your daughter.” Cadence stated bluntly

Sombra just sat there staring at Cadence with shrunk pupils and the purple mist in his eyes slowly dissipated. After a couple of minutes staring at her he said "Cady-" but he was only stopped by Cadence closing his mouth with her magic

"You have no right to call me that any more. I saw what you did to the crystal ponies when I escaped the empire all those years ago." Said Cadence

“But Cady-” only to be stopped by Cadence again.

“I said you had no right to call me that any more you kept the truth from me and mom but no more lying. I now know what you are now." Said Cadence

"Then what am I dear daughter." Asked Sombra

"You are an evil corrupted king that don't deserve to rule this kingdom." Said Cadence forcefully

"Oh is that right. My question for you is how are you going to stop me from just taking it back?" Asked Sombra

"Like this." As soon as she said that she jump for sombra and put a magic suppression ring on his horn then a light pink bubble appeared around him. "Now that you can't escape-"

"Wait what is this thing you put on my horn and why can't I use my magic." Yelled sombra trying to get the ring off.

"It is a magic suppression ring, it will suppresses your magic where you can't use it without removing it or me to lessen the amount of magic that is suppressed." Said Cadence turning away from her father and turning to Twilight

"Twilight are you OK?" asked Cadence moving closer to the smaller pony.

"No I am not OK!! A tyrant just called me his Queen then i also find out you the greatest foulsitter ever is the Daughter of him. What else was I not told?” Said Twilight with tears streaming down her face and looking down to the ground.

"Twilight look at me please." Asked Cadence but as Twilight looked up she saw a different pony in Cadence's eyes it was like she knew her longer than she had known "Twilight I wish I could tell you everything I know but I can't Celestia made me promise not to tell you until she thinks you’re ready."

"But I have always been ready. I have done so much more than most ponies would do in their lifetime.” Said Twilight still with tears streaming down her face but at a slower pace.

"I know you have Twilight and if it were me I would have said you were ready by now." Said Cadence trying to calm down Twilight

"Is this why she sent me up here." Asked Twilight

"No it is not. I requested for you to come and help me defeat Sombra and find the crystal heart because I only know one pony that can do that." Said Cadence

"But Celestia told me that this is a test to see if I am ready for the next level and I failed to get the Crystal heart to you which meant I failed my test." Said Twilight with triers now coming down faster.

“I know that she told you that it was a test but it is not. All this is to see if you are ready for the secrets that were hidden from you." Said Cadence

"What secrets?" Asked Twilight

"You will find out later when Celestia gets here. But for now, lets get back to your friends, ok." Said Cadence getting up and trying to get Twilight to follow her.

"OK  Cadence lets go but one Question before we go." said Twilight as she got up and started to walk with Cadence down to the throne room.

“What is it Twilight?“ Asked Cadence

“When did you contact the princess and when is she going to be here?” asked Twilight

“I told Spike to send her a letter when he brought the crystal heart to me and knowing the urgency of it she will be here soon, ok.” said Cadence

“Ok” said Twilight as the Started to head down the stairs.
