How often would mother repeat the tired mantra to us? Mother never lived as long as we have, Mother never made as many mistakes as us. Mother never took a life, Mother never suffered defeat on the battlefield, Mother never fell to madness, Mother never tried to kill her sister.

Regret does not suit a princess. 

It suits this princess.

Had we known Discord would once again be free we would have expected this. He has ever been a most frustrating foe. Though his power is great he presents no mortal threat to Equestria, his war is waged in the mind.

Discord’s Vengeance has lain us low, we fear. He did not violate our person other than to restore our body. The same can be said for our mind, yet some things should never be restored.

Being forced to relive an eternal life is far from pleasant, especially so for our life.
