//------------------------------// // Chapter 1 // Story: Twilight Sparkle's Adventure in Walmart // by Probably Terrible //------------------------------// Twilight Sparkle concentrated hard, beads of sweat forming on her forehead. She stamped her hoof in frustration. "Why can't I do this spell?!" She mumbled, as she scanned over the page containing the spell again. She concentrated again, focusing on the spell and nothing else. Suddenly, in a plash of pink light, Twilight was tossed through a portal. She felt a weird tingly sensation, as the world swirled with various shades of pinks and whites. Soon, she saw the edge of the portal, and moments before reaching the end, she blacked out. She couldn't tell how long it had been since she passed out, and her head throbbed painfully. "Ow..." She muttered, still unsure of where she was. "Spike?" She called weakly, but Spike did not appear. "Spike?" She called again, feeling some strength come back into her body. Still, no Spike. She lifted her head, trying to get a better view, she saw a beam of light, cutting through the darkness. She peeked through it, curiously, yet cautiously. She saw these weird creature's with weird mixtures of colors on their bodies. She took a step back, scared now. She continued to observe these creatures, as interested as she was scared. She heard noises coming from something near her, and a familiar voice. "What in the?" The voice said, as Twilight began to register who it was. Trixie. "T-Trixie?" She called. "Yes, I am the Great and Powerful Trixie! Wait... Twilight Sparkle?!" She called back, her voice as full of bewilderment as Twilight's. "Yes." She said, quietly. "Wait... Trixie were you in the Library?!" "The Great and Powerful Trixie may or may not have been secretly peeking behind your shoulder." She responded. Twilight could not facehoof hard enough. "Well, I... The Great and Powerful Trixie doesn't really know how to explain that." Trixie admitted. "Well, good job, now you're stuck here too!" Twilight said, as she tried to push one wall to the side, so there could be a bigger opening. "Stop talking like that 'Great and Powerful Trixie', It's annoying." Twilight said, already tired of the blue unicorn. "The Great and Powerful Trixie is not annoying and Twilight Sparkle should be glad that she is allowed to be in The Great and Powerful Trixie's presence!" Trixie responded. "Ugh, fine." Twilight said, still trying to push the box to the side. "Oh yeah, Magic!" She said, trying to levitate the box away, but her magic seemed greatly reduced, and she could hardly do more than nudge it to the side, but now, the gap was big enough to get through. She saw more of the scene, and it was crazy, there were tons of these weird beings, and shelf upon shelf of monster-sized items. Twilight looked around, her mouth agape. "I hate to admit it 'Great and Powerful Trixie' but, I think I'm gonna need your help." She said, pretend-gagging at the very thought. "The Great and Powerful Trixie declines your request for help." She responded. "Have you even looked outside yet?" Twilight said, as she continued to stare outside. "The Great and Powerful Trixie will look outside when she needs to, Twilight Sparkle." She responded, and Twilight could imagine her sticking out her tongue at her and crossing her front hooves. "Well, when you go hungry I'm not going to help you." Twilight said. "Fine, The Great and Powerful Trixie will look out- Oh my." She said, as Twilight her her shifting the boxes. "See?" Twilight said, as she watched the creatures go by. "The Great and Powerful Trixie accepts your offer." She said, disgusted at what she had just said. "Alright, we're gonna need to... Bleh... Stick together." Twilight said, as she carefully observed. Soon, no creatures were left, and the lights shut off. It was dark, and there was no one else around, but Trixie. "The Great and Powerful Trixie requests you out of your hiding spot." She said, as she trotted out of the hiding spot of boxes. Twilight trotted out, meeting up with the blue unicorn. "We should find some food, and maybe a better spot to live at, but we're so small it will take a while to get anywhere. Trixie pointed to a Remote control helicopter. "The Great and Powerful Trixie thinks we could use this!" She said, as she used her magic to open the box, after a bit of struggling. "We could, I hate to admit, but that's actually a really good idea, Trixie." She said, trotting over to the controller. "I'll modify it with some magic." She said, as she lit up her horn, casting a dim glow. It was now modified to be able to fly without the controller. She stepped into the helicopter and beckoned for Trixie to come in. "Thank you, Twilight Sparkle." She said, unwilling to say the first two words of her sentence. Twilight started it up, and slowly, it began to rise up. Their adventure had just begun. It rose up, flying high above the shelves. The two couldn't tell, since it was so dark. Trixie cast a light spell, enabling them to see just in front of themselves, and not crash into anything. They flew for a while, a long while, trying to take in their surroundings, which was hard, since they were only able to see in front of themselves. They didn't really see anything of interest, but then, the helicopter's batteries ran out. "The Great and Powerful Trixie IS FALLING!" Trixie yelled, panicking. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Screamed Twilight, as they plummeted to the ground.
