CHAPTER 34
Friends
The others turned with Twilight as she passed them, and continued to follow along with her. “We need to pack up, and start moving as soon as possible. We can’t lose any more time. If we have a dragon on our hands we need to get there by the time that Spike has grown, and has been trained to follow our specific commands.” Twilight said as she walked through the camp. They all finished packing their belongings, and started to walk away from the changeling caves. “I’m surprised that we could pull off such a stunt, I mean Twilight how could you think of such a thing that was amazing.” Applejack said as they walked out of the canyon that the caves laid in. Twilight simply smiled, and said “My friends were in danger, and I needed a plan to get us out of it.” She stopped in the middle of the road, and said “But we don’t really need to worry about that much anymore it was a great plan, but I don’t think sharing the magic will make us any more happy than we already are.” Rarity walked directly up to Twilight, and said “It’ll still be a great story for the road, we have a long way to go, and need to have something to entertain us.” Twilight looked at the ground, and said “Perhaps it could, but I can’t explain it now. Why don’t you guys tell me what went on when I passed out?”
RainFall pointed to the captured changeling, and said “Light him up spike!” Spike looked at the small thing that instantly took form of Rarity. Spike slowly started to shrink, and said “I can’t she’s too important to me.” RainFall shot a beam of light going straight past the changeling, and said “This is what it truly it don’t let it deceive you, destroy it. NOW!” Spike looked into the X-ray light that was being produced from RainFall’s horn. Spike noticed that the changeling was smiling, and walked through the portal saying “You wouldn’t hurt me Spike? You wouldn’t hurt your friend Rarity?” Spike in the instant she said that let a burst of fire erupt from his mouth. This caused the changeling’s magic to fade, and the changeling burst up into flames only leaving a small pile of ash. RainFall quickly said “Very good, here is your treat.” RainFall gave him a small amount of jewels. Spike looked at them, and said “Where are my friends, I want to see them they mean too much to me.” A big tear began to develop in his eyes. RainFall looked over to Shining Armor who was observing the whole thing. RainFall gestured for Shining to join him over in his mini observatory. Shining Armor came over asking “What am i supposed to do, I can’t disrupt their journey can I?” RainFall then responded “We must keep him happy, and keep him from shrinking. This part is too important to screw up.” Shining Armor nodded, and disappeared into thin air.
