                    CHAPTER 32
Dragons

Twilight got up from where she sat still crying tears of joy. Applejack, and Rarity moved over to Twilight to comfort her, but she walked away, and said “I need my time. Today has been very long.” She walked off into the distance, and decided it might be safe to sit down in the plain sight of her friends, who knows what is out there.

Shining Armor walked into the guard barracks, and noticed it was empty. He thought to himself “Where are all the guards?” He walked outside, and noticed Chainball walking around the city. Shining Armor approached him, and asked “Where are all your guards they aren’t in the barracks, and i appointed Wolf Tongue to send a platoon to the captured changeling caves. That place needs a good guard, but the castle needs better. That why i kept you here, you’re the best guard i know.” Chainball looked back at Shining Armor, and said “Thank you for such a compliment, but i bigger things to worry about. If our enemy is smart, where is the other army? If I had an army defeated, and I had more I would send it.” Chainball looked off into the distance, and started to move on, Shining Armor followed him. “Where are your guards, shouldn’t they be out celebrating?” Chainball looked back at Shining Armor, who was following at a slow pace, and said “They are honoring the fallen one. He apparently fell off a tower, I would be honoring him to right now, but I still have to worry about the safety of my family, the city, and all the other population here.” Shining Armor spoke up before he could list off more of why he was guarding. “There isn’t much to worry about, with the Queen disabled King Sombra doesn’t have that much power, close to us at least.” Chainball quickly responded “But that is still power he has, what defenses do we have? We have at the most 300 guards. If I don’t manage them correctly it could cost the whole castle.” Shining Armor was surprised at what he knew “I’m supposed to keep this secret, but we have a dragonologist up in the castle. He is working on training a dragon to defend the castle itself, so we have more than just 300 guards.” Chainball looked at Shining Armor in surprise, and said “How does one simply train a beast that I’ve not seen controlled?” Shining Armor shrugged, and said “It’s all in RainFall’s notes, we don’t know much about it.” ChainBall looked over to Shining Armor, and shouted “Why wouldn’t you check him? He could be a spy you know. If he is he could show our weaknesses to the enemy.” Shining Armor rushed up to his side as he said “We didn’t have a choice, Princess Luna kept us from doing anything. She is the one who brought him here, she apparently saved his life from a deep and dark prison.”

Twilight stood up from the rock she sat upon, and walked over to her group of friends, and said “We should get a move on. We don’t want to lose too much time. Cadence seemed to want to talk to me, after I talk to her we will continue our journey.” Twilight moved over to Cadence who pulled Twilight off to the side, and said “Once you reach his fortress wait for spike. King Sombra has a dragon, you need to be careful.”
